I’m a non-native English speaker and sadly, they don’t teach us much at school, if I didn’t learn English from myself, nowadays I would have been less than beginner level, but I got lower advanced and I’m very happy about it! I started learning English by myself when I was 9 or 10 by videogames and RUclips videos and now I speak the language very fluently! Sadly I don’t really focus on grammar, I focus on dialogue more, but I’m trying to learn English very well because it’s very important in life! Have a good day❤❤❤

This test was very useful. The beginner level was really easy for me I have 10/10, the intermediate was pretty easy too , but the advanced level was very hard especially the second part of the test. English is not my mother tongue but I love learning it everyday. It's really cool when you improve your english day by day. I am going to follow your channel. Good job teacher

This was very interesting to watch as a native English speaker. We often don't know the terminology because we just know how to speak the language instinctively. I must add that some of the questions had more than one acceptable answer. The options for question 9 in the intermediate section were all acceptable. While one answer was more grammatically correct, all three options would be considered fine in conversation.
I believe that they had more than 1 answer in 3 of the questions.
I agree. I was never taught grammar in school. Because of that, even I as a native speaker make mistakes.

I'm a native North American English speaker, and I've never heard the phrase "lay the table". We usually say "Set the table". This could be a regional thing, I guess. The bigger question is: Why am I watching instructional English videos? ;-) Keep up the good work!

I come from a non-English speaking country. The last five questions very difficult, there were some words which were new to me. I only guessed "irreplaceable" because I had watched an episode of " Keeping Up Appearances," where Elizabeth breaks one of Hyacinth's cups and she tells Elizabeth that it was " totally irreplaceable! "
I'm in a place where I don't use English every day so when I watched this video it was so exciting because I knew my English level was at a level where I needed to work harder.
It is very helpful for me to identify my level in English!! And the questions you use to test us level are very cool! Very informative also! Keep posting videos like this always!

I recall lessons such as this from when I was in elementary school and Jr. high school. I remain totally perplexed. However, because everyone around me used proper and correct English all the time, I got all 30 questions right. It’s pretty much all about using correct grammar, vocabulary and syntax
If I'm reading your post correctly like me, you got the answer correct from memorization and repetitiveness? I only did the beginner test but i only knew the answers because it sounded right. We he taught why, i was totally clueless. lol

I failed English all throughout school after dropping out I took a GED test ten years later and past it, including English. Now 45 years after that, I scored 80% in each of the three levels. I never learned any of the rules. I just go by what sounds right.

Native English speaker here, just took Advanced on 140% speed. I had to rerun the chapter, however, to understand the explanations! In the language I use now I achieved C1 in vocabulary, C2 in grammar so took this test to help me understand my own results.
My respect is getting better day by day for this man ,what a masterpiece this is!🥺

Native English speaker here, if you say one of the ‘incorrect’ sentences you will be understood. Don’t worry about being perfect in spoken conversations, we will understand what you are trying to say even if it’s not perfect. I speak TERRIBLE Spanish but I still get along just fine in Spanish speaking countries because the people I’m speaking to can puzzle it out.
Indeed, some of the “incorrect” sentences are not incorrect at all.
