When I studied English language and translation at university many years ago our teachers told us about the difference between passive and active speaking. In my first job I failed to do a phone call with a customer in England, I couldn't speak and only stuttered. It was terrible, all colleagues laughed at me. I changed my workplace where I got the opportunity to speak very often to many people from all over the world. I learned a lot and later on I was able to lead discussions and meetings in English. But this ability has to be trained again and again. I found your video by accident and I like it. Thank you for your explanation.

@Handsome Monarchist why? Grammar is very important, I know you can make some mistakes and it's still fine but you should really know how to use words together. And grammar isn't always logical so you have to learn how you combine words with other words. Bad grammar can be not understood sometimes (even if you used the grammar from your native language in English, grammar in different languages works differently)

I began studying English at the age of 5 and have been learning it even at this age nearing 70. Now with your video, I realise that the conversation is like a dish we prepare and and serve to others. For that we must know the ingredients, where they are kept, how and how much they are to be added, how long it must be cooked and how well we have to serve it to others. Certainly we must have some experience as homework. So is the case of conversation too. We can surely make the passive language to active easily if we practise your ideas advised in this video.

I’m a native speaker who forgets words all the time lol, now that I’m learning Japanese I find that the easiest way to remember words is by constantly listening or reading those words over and over until they become apart of my every day vocabulary, for example 本物, I never really heard it until I learned it, now I hear it all the time.
If you’re struggling with this on English try animated English shows, South Park, family guy, simpsons. South Park and family guy are really good shows for learning American slang and such but do keep in mind the way they talk could be seen as offensive in public so try to research any word you might think is nsfw

If there is one thing I know about learning English.
It's that, it has always involves 2 steps~
The first step and the one most of us people get through during school.
Getting used to the language and learning the basics~ From learning words, to reading text and finally watching movies with or without subs.
But then comes the 2nd step... the one step most people trip on and feel unsure about...
Talking... at one point you pretty much mastered everything that you need to understand all texts and conversations, sure some words might still be missing, but
you're really confident in yourself about understanding the main context of everything. Now... here is the thing... you understand it.... but you can't talk...
You get unsure... is my pronunciation right? Am i using the right verb? GOD, IT'S AWKWARD! I NEED SO LONG FOR EACH SENTENCE!
And that is the moment when most people become unsure and start to trip...
They become unsure... maybe i should stick with writing and get used to sentences...
And yes that can also work in some parts... but you won't be able to break that anxiety wall you formed around your voice....
What if they don't understand me... what if my accent sounds weird... what if i forget everything i learned over the years...
    And let me tell you...
It's okay to forget sometimes... heck, even while using your mother language, you forget a few words here and there.
All regions have their own version of accent, so why should you be shy about your own?
Actually, some people are really interested about it, and I'm sure you can have some fun talking about your own experiences and troubles.
Like how difficult it can be to say tree without it sounding like three... oh god, the confusions I caused because of that... x'D
Anyways the best way to get over that anxiety is to just use it.
Do something with somebody to keep you busy. Talk while playing around to keep your head clear from doubts.
And sure at the beginning it might seem a bit rough, but let me tell you it will always get better!

Tnku buddy..but what if people react?

    • @RheixLP
      @RheixLP 3 года назад

@BYABANG PAYO well multiple outcomes that can happen.
people get excited about you trying to learn their language, other just try to treat you like one of them and some rude one nagging you about it.
Now the first two are great because they try to help you and encourage you with patience.
the nagging one on the other hand... they will disappeare just as quickly as they appeare~
they're impatiant and try to make you feel bad, but believe me just shrug it off...
those guys might have had a bad day and treat you as something to vent...
      don't let them stop you!

    • @RheixLP
      @RheixLP 2 года назад

@@byabangpayo2543 mhm well if you were able to understand my whole text i wouldn't say that you have bad basics :)
so in that case if reading isn't the problem... than i guess you have trouble writing?
the best way to fix that is to write and read more books or letters. Also it's really helpful to translate other text into english. it's actually funny how difficult it can be to translate something since you always need to swap between 2 different language inside of your head~
it's becomes even more tricky if you need to swap in the middle of a conversation without ruining the flow~ :D
(but also a funny challenge i always loved to play when we needed to pass the time)
