Hey I do have a serious question when it comes down to this laptop, where is the cmos battery or pins at, I’m suffering with trying to get it
i dont think it has a cmos battery, because everytime i umplug the main battery the cmos resets. so just unplug the main battery
question. is the i5 processor removeable, or is it fixed with smolder?

depends on which model you have, but most of the time they come with 2 ram slots and only 1 is used. so you can add another ram stick

I'm gonna say I had a very crappy screwdriver because when I did this to mine, 50% of my screws are now stripped even though the screwdriver was the right size, and my screwdriver also tore itself up

Question... One of the screws that hold the battery in my laptop has almost no thread for the screwdriver to catch. Is it posible to just unplug it for changing the ram??

Thanks for the video! I am a bit new on this and bought this laptop a while ago. Now I would like to upgrade the RAM memory from 8 GB to 16 GB. Is it just sliding in another 8 GB card into the empty slot? Or should I remove the old 8GB card and replace it with an 16 GB one. Or am I completely wrong?

@@Ram-uc3rb The other slot is empty, so another RAM memory card can easily be inserted, Just check a tutorial before you install it. Crucial.com has a system checker. After the check it gives you the options which are compatible with your laptop. As we probably have a similar system, it should be the same. The one i got was a Crucial CT8G4SFS824A 8GB DDR4 SODIMM 2400MHz (1 x 8 GB) (DDR4 is the newest range and compatible with this laptop, SODIMM is necessary for laptops, as these are smaller, and 2400 MHz is the clockspeed and the 1x8 means that it is just one card). This card works fine for me and installing it was really easy. Now i have 16gb and it is noticable, especially while gaming!

Hello! mind if I ask how did they break? Mine's I started hearing a popping sound whenever I open or close it or push slightly on the hinge. Does this mean the hinge is starting to fail? Mine is just 5 months old.
@@YuriBladE69 if it feels loose then maybe the hinge has broken off from the screw mounts . If it is sturdy and hard to open some lube will help
I have 2018 model and the hinge broke in 2021. Three years of extremely gentle use. I got it replaced for 1800 INR.
@@YuriBladE69 I also got that sound before it completely broke. As soon as I got that sound, I did not close my laptop for more than a month. Then after my important tasks were over, I got my hinges replaced.

Yeah but how do you open the keyboard? I need to clean it because my little kid poured Liquid on top of it. And I really need help as soon as posible to open it and dry it before it rusts. It was milk and sugar.
Edit: it's fucking impossible. You have to buy a new assembly part for the keyboard, which is welded with plastic and has no way to be opened.

Can the fan of this laptop be exchanged, one of my fan is very noisy and I can feel vibrations, likely issue with the bearing so I just disconnected the fan from the motherboard, I would like to replace the fan but it looks like the fan is directly connected with the heatsink can I take it off? Also need to find a proper replacement model

@@chadmonke6330 I have the dk1020-ca model and yea, you can add up to 32gb max ram (there are only two spots, so a maximum config is 16x16)
