I wish i had found and watched this video first.I had removed the base and accidently damaged the antenna connector on cable. Totally unnecessary This is the very Best detailed, step by step video and instruction for replacing HP gaming laptop screen! - spot on! watch this before you try anything 🏆👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Liked and subscribed! 1 year later your video still helped! I just replaced mine… the longest part of the repair for me, was taking of the double sided tape cover 😂
Bro you're a real life saver, thank you so much for this tutorial 🙏🙏🙏🙌🙌🙌 i can't even express my deepest gratitude for this vid. It was simple, easy to follow, and I appreciate how you broke things down. I manage to fix my work computer in a great and quick amount of time before I had to go back to work this week.
Quick note, I had the Greek version of this laptop and the tabs for the adhesive strips on the back of the LCD screen were on the bottom for me. So some models are a little different but roughly the same
I bought a new screen and did everything you did and my new screen isn't working when I have it plugged in and everything. I'm not sure what could be wrong
These adhesive strips often break, forcing you to release the hinges and insert a thin plastic sheet to remove the panel. Other elements that fail occasionally in this model are the keyboard in the area above the GPU and the hinges. I strongly advise against re-gluing the screen with adhesive. The metal frame and the front part are enough to keep it fixed.
@@williamv0242 depends on your laptop. My sons is the one with the 144hz panel, I purchased a replacement (in bezel) fro mebay and it came as a 60hz locked 6 bit color depth version. So yes You can swap them to upgrade or downgrade, you just have to make sure you have the proper connector. For the 15Ec series described here its a 30 pin connector.

Today I am bringing almost the same type (white version though so different SN) to the technician because part of the screen has the LCD broken with lines and ink showing up, so it's interesting to see what he will do to my laptop, for 120 euro only, I had a friend that the technician made him pay 220 euros... crazy.
IF the laptop looks like this as far as the outer case goes, Yes its identical. The only variations youl find are between the intel and ryzen versions. Nearly Everything esle is swappable. I was sold a 60 hz panel replacement for my sons 144hz gaming one.. "Xyverx" ripped us off. But inadvertently taught me something very valuable.

Nicely done, and concise. For the record these steps worked fine for the very similar 15-EC1073DX model as well.
