That was the most wholesome VLDL we've ever had. Loved it! Britt creeping up behind Adam and calling his name softly multiple times until she was sure she had his attention was too adorable!
This takes me back to when I was in college playing Don’t Starve with my roommates for days and nights. They went out to fight the bosses while I stayed at camp and cooked. Good old days
Miss the DST days too... I was always the camp builder and chef too. Building fences, mazes and tooth traps around for the hounds, changing the flooring, doing research on recipes, setting up tooth traps at second base for Deerclops and building pig farms.
My favorite camp mom is a guy named Jack Pattillo. I feel like most of the time he ends up in that role because most of his coworkers are animals and hardly anything would get organized if he didn't do it himself.
When I was playing SCUM with some mates, I feel like the Camp Mum role was actually split between all of us. I did a lot of the organizing and quality of life stuff for our camp to make it nicer. One of us often spent a lot more time in the game to loot and do stuff. The other would do a lot of reinforce the base through traps and stuff. We cared a lot about this base, so we all took the time and effort to care for it. And then some dude totally wrecked everything we had and set us back to zero. I'm never touching that game again. A hundred hours of work...all gone...in a couple of minutes. Part of it was out of our control too, since our internet just had to be terrible at the time. But even without it, this guy probably would have gotten us anyway. He wasn't happy with just taking our stuff. What he could not take with him, he destroyed. There was no way to really stop him either. Even if we successfully defended against him a thousand times, he would have eventually worn us down or caught us off guard. We all work full time jobs. We can't just spend thousands of hours in a game like this. These types of players makes these types of games a bad experience for me.
then there is the other guy, has an uncanny ability to turn organized perfection into disorganized chaos, their personal inventory is never organized yet always full, yet somehow still always running low on something, armor/weapons always on the verge of breaking or broken
It's highly accurate to real moms how he went from loving caretaker to DEFENSIVE KILLER the moment their home was threatened. Shout out to moms, we love you all.

After being a solo player in a lot of games, I LOVE being camp mum. There's nothing quite like keeping things organized, giving pointers to others, and fucking up asshats that have eyes bigger than their damage output
Ah, you nailed me. Thanks for recognizing it. Screw up my sleep schedule all the time helping out at night. I have seen this is usually the same person that everyone runs to in any social setting, for the answers, and to do's. The work place is the worst for it. Folks like this burn out eventually, from being used as the go to crutch. Don't take advantage of the camp mum's.
I hate googling answers, but modern games require to... Playing NMS is literally impossible without googling, for example =( Ingame handbook isn't full enough for me.
This was me - whether the title was "Guild Leader", "Tribe Lead", or "Village Head". My members would go out scavenging, etc. and i stayed at the base building, cooking food, crafting weapons & ammo. One round of '7 Days to Die' in particular top level was 300, i did not step foot off base until i hit level 127. Good times.
Adam's a really nice camp mum, I usually fill a similar role, but more like one of those really tired and annoyed moms: "Ugh, I've explained this a million times, iron ingots are in the second chest on the right, with all the other refined metals!"
We love our camp mom. He even labels the chests so we can find everything. Love for all the camp moms out there and don't forget to put your leather scraps away when you are done crafting!
some call i camp mom. I call myself the staff seargent. Because no one is organizing the chests, no one is keeping control over inventory. Our base would look like a shitshow of no one would organize stuff. Oh my gosh, this is exactly what a mom does! Hope none of my teammates see's this. The first one who calls me camp mom is gonna suffer a slow and painfull death.
Adam can be a very motherly figure but also the exact opposite, a cold blooded killer who kills people that have the AUDACITY to step into his home and try to hurt his children. And the blood soaked apron at 2:12, you can tell he did work.
A salute to my fellow camp mums out there. Sadly the main fiction in the video is how much the rest of the team appreciate our hard work. Generally there's just one and they become your favorite child.
I am everyone's favorite camp child. I listen and trust their knowledge, they have been playing the game longer than me and it would be arrogant of me to assume I know anything. I'm 37 and a dad. In real life I got my bearings but in online games, not so much. 😁
Reminds me of the Bored skit where Adam rocks up to work as a bad ass biker in a leather jacket then immediately puts on his friendly nice guy work persona. 🤣
This is my usual Rust experience. I enjoy adopting new players. Protecting them from roaming clans and trolls while showing them how to build and secure a base is fun for me. Helping new players enjoy and fall in love with a game I’ve played for so many years is very gratifying. “Camp Mum” is such a nice term as well. When I play with my experienced friends I gel called the base bitch. 🤷♂️
Adam's like that one teammate who plays throughout the night while others are offline and masters the game. Then proceeds to help the entire team when they log on.
Roman's acting when he was bitten and Britt's little anxious knees and how she pointed at the videos! Lol, and these guys really have become top notch actors
Camp mum every time and I love it. Building housing, defenses, storage, crafting areas, organizing loot and resources, crafting and repairing gear. Who has time to explore? Pro-tip for camp mums: since the kids will inevitably mess up your storage by dumping stuff wherever, make a separate container designated as "loot dump" that they can pour everything into after an exploration trip. It's going to be much faster for them and you can organize it in your own time. Plus, it aggregates loot from multiple players so you can take all the items of specific type and place it where it belongs in one go. Such a game changer. You can also make a separate chest for expedition supplies to fill with whatever gear, ammo, meds and food/water that teams need when going out.
Whenever I play Don’t Starve Together with my friends, I main Warly, so the position of “take care of everything while everyone else is away” is mainly put on my shoulders. Making sure the chests are organized, crops are fertilized, Food prepared before the ingredients spoil, stuff like that, and I love it
I realized during our last Valheim session that I'm the camp mom. We have our light armor infrastructure guy (he builds roads, bridges, etc.). We have our gathering gal (she just likes getting wood/stone/ore) who uses trolls as pets to get it done and then there's me, heavily armored and armed to the teeth, building the longhouse, inventory sorting, decorating so it's nice and cozy, cooking, farming. And putting troll heads on stakes as a warning to the rest. I love the dynamic we have going on and the appreciation we have for each other.
This may become his thing, like how Rowan does his absolute best to be naked at all times, I like to think that it's Adam that stops him because he'll catch a cold.
I just knew Adam was gonna mess that guy up. Nobody is that nice and helpful in a MP survival game without supreme confidence in their abilities. And Britt quiet little "Adam, Adam" was just adorable

After being a solo player in a lot of games, I LOVE being camp mum. There's nothing quite like keeping things organized, giving pointers to others, and fucking up asshats that have eyes bigger than their damage output
That's the most semi-stable apocalypse family I've ever seen!
Very modern family 😂

Everyone really flexing their acting skills on this one and stepping outside of their usual comfort zone. Well done all around.
Well except for Adam lol.
@@Tyrazial Hahaha indeed
What about this is stepping outside of their comfort zone? They've been doing silly videos like this for years lol
@@IrishRepoMan yeah this is the type of content I would expect from them
@@IrishRepoMan They meant the roles they are playing. Outside of Adam, none of them typically play the helpless type.
realistically, this is just the player who actually reads the tutorial and googles all questions. or the late game player helping friends. love it!
Or the player who has a lot more gaming time.
@@MsDianagentaToYou And usually got bored of the PVP because they're too good so has fun keeping the new folks in the game.
Good times.
I love how Britt says "Adam, Adam, Adam." So adorable 😂
Her acting is good, I like it when she her expression saying that😅
Adam will be a great mum one day
With this teams survival rate, I don’t think that’ll be today.
He already is
He already is a fantastic cat dad!

Adam's a really nice camp mum, I usually fill a similar role, but more like one of those really tired and annoyed moms: "Ugh, I've explained this a million times, iron ingots are in the second chest on the right, with all the other refined metals!"
A good mother checks her children's meters regularly! Good work, Adam!
He started off as just a helping friend, but he slowly went into “oh nooo did he give you a boo boo”
We love our camp mom. He even labels the chests so we can find everything. Love for all the camp moms out there and don't forget to put your leather scraps away when you are done crafting!
And, for Pete's sake, stop hitting 'Sort alphabetically'!
There's a reason everything is in their spots!
😂
I'm a camp mom, but i'm single :(
In the correct box please and thank you. I swear if I find mats in the weapon chest again I'm going to nuke the damn base.
@@splatninja9447 Or food in the stone chest. WHY IS THERE FOOD IN HERE?!?!
As the camp mom I feel both called out and also wholly understood and appreciated. Y'all are awesome haha
some call i camp mom.
I found myself in Adam in this one too. Though my apron would never be ruffled or pink. I will dye it in the blood of my enemies if needed e.e
What survival games are y'all playing? These videos make me want to check some out.
@@rodjjt7742 i think its rust? Its not as good as they make it seem in the video tho.
@I used to be adventurer like you oh ok that one looks kinda old so I probably wouldn't try to hop on at this point.
The kids fighting inside while Mum's "taking care of business" is just so relatable. They have no clue, nor do they need to.
Shoutout to all the camp mums out there helping us heal from our actual moms!
Adam pulling out the boomstick completely caught me off guard. 🤣
Complete with mama bear mode
Was so obvious something like that was gonna happen after he sent them inside, still fucking funny tho.
I was 100% expecting him to get absolutely dumpstered, 10/10 turnaround, would watch again.
Is that like a sleep stick?
Britt tugging on Adam’s apron strings was priceless.
Yes!
Respect for all of the camp mums out there in the survival games. Love you guys.
Gotta be one of my favourite gender
Adam can be a very motherly figure but also the exact opposite, a cold blooded killer who kills people that have the AUDACITY to step into his home and try to hurt his children. And the blood soaked apron at 2:12, you can tell he did work.
Definitely one of the best in a while! Britt just tapping on the back of Adam, "Adam, Adam, Adam" Perfect LOL
Adam being the camp mum makes so much sense
Best role so far
He fits it so naturally
Came here to say this, but knew it would’ve already been said! 😅
Yup, I thought Britt might be a woman but Adam would make the best Mom. Then looked for this comment to acknowledge you said it earlier.
I'd love more skits with him in that role. Sweet and caring, but also ruthless mama bear. I love it.
Loved how you guys really sold the needy toddler / parent dynamic. Adam's flip from nurturing to protector was gold. Solid
What really worked is that they didn't 'start' there. They just kinda descended more and more to sell the point which really made it hit home.
The way Adam gradually becomes more of a Mum and they become more like kids… genius!
A salute to my fellow camp mums out there. Sadly the main fiction in the video is how much the rest of the team appreciate our hard work. Generally there's just one and they become your favorite child.
I'm my teams camp mom
Also true when you’re the Healer in D&D
...and it's the one who can keep the holy stash order instead of throwing all of the loot Into one SINGLE CHEST D:
I am everyone's favorite camp child. I listen and trust their knowledge, they have been playing the game longer than me and it would be arrogant of me to assume I know anything. I'm 37 and a dad. In real life I got my bearings but in online games, not so much. 😁
Reminds me of the Bored skit where Adam rocks up to work as a bad ass biker in a leather jacket then immediately puts on his friendly nice guy work persona. 🤣
Oh my gosh yeah been awhile since that skit. Makes me realise how far this channel has grown since back then👏
That's a favorite of mine. He walks in so cool but then trips inside when he takes off the jacket
Britts little child act before the bandit shows up is brilliant 😂
As a camp mum myself I have to say this video is gold. Always appreciate the person caring for the base
1:58 “You messed with the wrong camp motherfucker” got me dieing 😂 loved that sudden change of character
Its dying not dieing 😂 im learning english but i do know that
This had me dieing 😂 they way he flips from mum to executioner back to mum was just amazing I love it
Being an executioner is just a facet of being a mum, so it checks out
As soon as the man showed up, I knew Adam was going to go full mom and deal with him.
Well done with the accuracy, you lot never miss.
1:50 mum code for: Go inside kids mummy needs to take of business 😀....😠 you dare threaten our camp 😡
I love how they got more childlike with each request and Adam got more mumsy ❤
Adam putting on the apron to make everyone act childish was brilliant.
Britt tugging on the apron is what did it for me
As a camp mum myself, this spoke to me. Always protect your flock!!!
Can we all take a moment to appreciate all the camp moms we had over the years.
That smile adam gave as they were running into the house had me screaming at the monitor "RUN DUDE, YOU FUCKED UP! YOU PISSED OFF MOMMA BEAR!"
From the mother that everyone needs into the Slayer, all in one video. Wholesome and badass.
You don't mess with Mom's kids. They was no change.
Even Thanos knows not to mess with a den mother!
You don’t mess with Adam
Adam's like that one teammate who plays throughout the night while others are offline and masters the game.
Then proceeds to help the entire team when they log on.
Lol that is 100% me 😂
Yup watching this video I just realized I'm the camp mum 😂😂
@@Sean409409 and im my teams unhinged 6 yr old lmao

@@The_Riot Damnit. I am the camp mum. I never realized. 🤣 I wanted to be a murder hobo, too!
I love how delighted Adam is about Alans "Love you"
We need a camp mum series, I absolutely ADORE this. Thank you!
Adam is the perfect camp mom, I love how the rest of the team becomes more and more childlike as the sketch progresses.
Just so long as nobody sets their house on fire anyway...
Whenever I play Don’t Starve Together with my friends, I main Warly, so the position of “take care of everything while everyone else is away” is mainly put on my shoulders. Making sure the chests are organized, crops are fertilized, Food prepared before the ingredients spoil, stuff like that, and I love it
Relatable
Fellow Warly main.
Saw the title and knew/hoped "Camp Mum" would be Adam! That shift from "who wants a cookie?" to _shotgun-weilding badass_ was bloody perfect.
Yep! Didn’t even need to see the thumbnail! 😂
Mum*
Britt softly calling Adam was so cute and dramatic😂❤
And then Adam turns into Mama bear 😂😂😂my god that scene!!!
"My spear broke..." Britt played that like a real kid, great job 🤣
Me playing support:
"Oh, meds? Yep, I made mades, food, boiled water, healing stuff..."
so refreshing seeing Rowan not trying to be the boss/hero! He actually seemed relatable. More like this please and thank you!
For the peace of the kingdom!
Morning! Nice day for fishing ain't it? Hua hah!
This character suits Adam really well. I bet in VLDL he maybe acts like this as well.
Oh yeah, but WHO could have had the idea of his sketch?!
This may become his thing, like how Rowan does his absolute best to be naked at all times, I like to think that it's Adam that stops him because he'll catch a cold.
I’m the mum when we play survival games, and the mum at VLDL work 😂
@@VivaLaDirtLeague omg ! You replied to my comment . Thank you !

This is me. Even in singleplayer. Always gotta have perfectly organized chests, backup equipment prepared, all the NPCs safe and taken care of.
Adam is such a sweet host. Everyone in camp should have their own Adam!❤💙
I just knew Adam was gonna mess that guy up. Nobody is that nice and helpful in a MP survival game without supreme confidence in their abilities.
And Britt quiet little "Adam, Adam" was just adorable
