Classic Slap-Happy Jack type game.
I'm only disappointed that Ben didn't say he'd remember Poop every time he heard a fart, and that we didn't see Poop give a little splashback in the lava and hear a faint "Pfwaaaah" coming from below.
I'm pretty sure that every player has responsibility for ruination lol.
from joke character to epichero
"I never thought I'd die fighting side by side with a McDingleFart"
"How about side by side with a friend?" _Frrrpppppttttttttttt_
Better side by side than behind him.
Aye laddie, I could do that.
"oh s'cuse me"
Peak
Damn you for making me feel feelings
"I know it's hard, but you must leave Poop!" I just can't 🤣🤣🤣
*wheeze* XD
I'm...just...😂😂😂
I bet Poop made a huge splash when he fell, it's how he'd want to be remembered.
There was probably no sign of him afterwards and he became a ghost poop... 😆
Drop the poop.
People are talking about Alan's acting a lot here and it is great but can we take a moment to mention just how well Ben sold the grief of losing his clearly treasured companion at the end there. All of this was great. Spot on acting throughout. Amazing outfits and set design, and the CGI at the end? This was something spectacular and it's amazing to see how far VDL has come.
Permission granted to take a moment.
Yeah he is great for sure
Ironic: Britt left the show to do some series in Canada
But Alan is the one who wins an Oscar for his role as poop mcdinglefart
@@mikekasich836 Imagine him on the stage when he receives an oscar and someone has to introduce him and his role :) This could go full circle: The audience/host complain that he doesn't take the Oscars serious and ruins everything but then Alan acts the hell out of his role and by the end of the show they all love him :)
@@mikekasich836 what series is that if you don't mind me asking.
"Sweet Naertho, I know that we haven't gotten off on the best foot. Heck, the Phantasmos and the McDinglefarts have a longstanding blood feud that predates the Second Cataclysm. But perhaps we could put that behind us. Perhaps we could even be ... friends?" Epic.
Put nothing behind McDinglefart.
Nothing except poop.
No!!!
Honestly with that I would have been like ok he’s committed let’s do this
Honestly good backstory
The way Ben isn't even fazed by the fart at the end shows how Poop has become important
Don't want to get Bludgeoning damage or exhaust debuff
Poop is very important, none of us could live if not for Poop
from incontinent to important
Crying rn
Let's admit there's a little Poop in all of us
Alan's acting is supreme. He is a completely different person. Man, his eyes just killed me
Who is this Alan? Hmm?
E
@@kossend1idk maybe his cat stepped on the keyboard
He gives a lot of Steve Buscemi in this role 🧐🤔
@@fatcat7msk7ru good point!
Holy shit. We need the entire Poop McDinglefart saga now
This + Gilstrap TV quotes lol
I had a similar experience to this. I was the dm of a season with some of my good friends. It was home brew and I was quite proud of the campaign that I had made. Keep in mind, I made a lot of extremely fun changes that increased the difficulity of it. I had 7 players, and most were fairly simple. However, there was this one bard in the party who had chosen chaotic good as their allignment. They had the most crazy and weird character one could possibly imagine. It was to the point where the party was tempted to abondan them(several times), but each time the parties drunk holy knight talked them out of it.
So fast forward several months later, the team was doing amazing. Too good so I decided to pull some strings for a fun twist. I had made a custom item a couple sessions prior(specifically for a bard). It was a ukulele that I named 'The string of whispers'. I kitted this thing out, giving it a different type of summoned monster based on the roll of a D100. It costed hit points to use, so it couldn't be spammed either.
But back to the story, I chose to summon one of the big bad's pets that I had prepared. It was a Grand Storm Dragon. Mind you, the party was not supposed to win. I expected them to run. However, mid retreat, the arch wizard of the party rolled a Nat 1 on one of their spells, so I caused it to where it blocked one route of escape. 5 of the members were at safety except two. The enchantress and the bard. The enchantress was similar to bens character towards the bard, where she believed she would never care for his character. Man, no joke stands up to the dragon and uses string of whispers. Mind you(He hasn't succeeded in rolling higher than a 40 with this things) and I kid you not, man rolls a 99. I decided to give him a chance and summoned an undead dragon to aid him. Man sacrificed himself to buy time for the party to escape. When they finally beat the big bad guy, they built a memorial in place for the greatest Bard to ever live, Dikus Maxim.
I'm so glad I read to the end of this, that is a campaign that won't ever be forgotten.
The closest goofy moment I ever had was my friends little brother deciding to search inside a goblins ass for a key instead of talking him into giving it up. He rolled a 20 and the DM ran with it. That goblin let him go elbow deep to get that key. I can't remember if it was actually up his ass though.
Oh my God I was so invested and then read: dikus maximum and died 😅
Best thing I've read all week. Thank you for that. And thank you to Dikus.
Oh my god, Alan's fake front teeth just add so much
there's no fake teeth, Alan's just that great at acting
no volcano either, pure acting
@@Ezullof some would say that the real acting was the teeth that we made along the way 😬
Kudos guys, incredible job! The production value is over 9000
Dwane Dibbley !
Dude became that character!
Alan showing his full range of acting here. That was legit incredible. That end sequence was legit moving for a character with that little back story.
Totally agree
Dare I saw the long history of the McDingle Farts is not ""little back story"! They are a proud and noble family!
i cry evertim
for those curious, the song at the end when mcdinglefart perishes, is (Hunger,Thirst)by johannes bornlof to save the hassle of trying to get spotify to pick it up
I feel like when Alan was called to play this part he was like okay, BUT he MUST die at the end, I will not reprise the part of poop mcdingle fart. and the audience will never let him die if he isn't dealt with. 😂
Really good move on Alan’s part seeing Ben was his biggest skeptic and going “I’ll play off that and have my very serious but unseriously named character be of a rival house and that’s why his character doesn’t like me but if I can change the character’s mind then I change the player’s as well.”
Pro gamer move if I ever saw one
That's deep
Epic! I like the detail of the DM nonchalantly checking his notes in the background as the walls begin to crumble and the players are living the most heroic and tragic moment of their campain.
Oh my god I just spotted that, its gold hahaha
Oh my god, I completely missed that. I had to go back and look for him like wassit!
Where? I’ve watched it back I can’t see it
@@Haaris.Qureshi he is behind rowan and adam in the far distance where rocks are falling. It's so subtle.

Poop's reveal was a masterpiece. He left this world the same way he entered; with everyone around him in tears.
Alan making the Batman pose, and then squeezes his fist seriously, and then says “my name, is poop dinglefart” 💀
The legend of Poop remains today, seen in the teary pink eyes of those who knew and loved him most. Once per hundred years the ancestors of Poop can be seen making the pilgrimage to the top of Mount Shyte, deep into the bowels, only to pay homage the the stains still visible upon the crevasse walls- known to the locals as McDinglefart’s Bowl.
The **ancestors**? Daaamn, they live long for humans.
@@raznaak I'm sure they meant descendants 😂
Criminally under-appreciated comment
@@raznaak It's a spirit event. Local alchemists harvest the ectoplasm left behind by the ghosts of the departed McDinglefarts.
@@InvisiblerApple it's called "the great wiping": when all Dingles and farts - two families joined by a long-past marriage - are scraped from their spiritual home on the plane of Wreck-Tal, to join in merriment on the shores of lake YooBend, where splashy frolicking is the order of the day
First of all, that CG is outrageous.
Second, let's start a bet on how long the blooper will be and how much it will feature Alan corpsing 😂
It's so dingo
OutRAGEous
What cg?
It’s amazing how the internet really made everyone believe that everything is fake. It’s annoying.
@@Waffleswcheese IKR? The Viva guys are so committed to being as grounded as possible, I don't get who wouldn't believe they'd just simply rent out a volcanic chamber for a few hours. It's outrageous if you ask me

I usually find that the players that makes these types of characters and seem to not take it seriously is the players that have the most fun and often sticks around the longest (both player and character).
Give these two an award for the most comedic but tragic and emotionally impactful scene.
Holy shit, I can't believe you guys went straight to the flames of mount Doom just to film this, great dedication
I mean, they are in New Zeland so Mt. Doom is just next door
They even let Alan fall to his death just to film this, great dedication
Nah, that was filmed in the mines of Moria
@@Knighterforker they had to burn that shit entirely and so they did(pun unintended)
I hate how well Alan embodied that character. I've never wanted to randomly punch a character in the face this much, which is a huge credit to VLDL. Also, that CGI was amazing.
Looked like the CGI from Lord of the Rings.
There was CGI?
NZ is the land of Middle Earth. Dragons, volcanoes, orcs… we have it all. No need for computer trickery, you just need to open your eyes and believe!
Very impressive indeed
CGI? It's not a normal location shoot in New Zealand?
My respect for Alan's acting capability just reach a new height. Goosebumps when he said "Sweet Naertho".
I've literally watched this over a dozen times. Among your best.
"POOOOP!"
Wow... The way Alan threads the fine line between goofy and heroic dramatic is whole nother level acting...chefs kiss 👌🏻
how does EVERYONE at vldl have such insane range???? (alan being the silly/inappropriate one when he's usually the straight man and ben showing oscar-worthy levels of emotional drama at the end when he's usually the funny a**hole character)

Poopfooscus was a legendary hero I once knew, he defeated the Dark Lord Soretoes
Lord Sore-Shoe-Us, would be funny.
Forsooth, I knew him well. Him and his wife, Madam Guano, the shield maiden of Excrementia. 🧐
Lord Pinkeye.
Soretoes but I read it like a latin name
My farther, Captain Sweatinbrow, told me many a stories about the times when Poop’s mother, Lady Dioriatus, would lead the charge against the hoards of the evil goblin lord Dodgius Tummitums. Poop’s ancestral lineage to the great freedom warrior clans can be traced all the way back to the first great age itself. Legend has it that that he is a direct descendant of the great Farticus himself.
I cant get over how good this is. The effects are outstanding but most of all, the acting! Alan you absolutely nailed it and Ben, well, you always nail it.
Also Alan, you look like Rami Malek in Bohemian Rhapsody
I was blown away by this. Alan delivered it to the max, and that ending was fantastic.
He has such range as an actor. Just beautiful, beautiful. (Wipes a single tear away.)
hehe... "wipes"
That’s how you get pink eye. Jussayin 😂
Ooh backstories! Ben’s character being a Fantasmo makes so much sense. Also Rob’s new campaign face is giving me life.

Very funny and extremely well made. The special effects are very impressive. Loved it.
A cinematic master piece. Ben really killed it on the acting in the volcano. Alan showed such a wide range of talent. I only saw the short on facebook and was so pumped to see an extened cut. I want a short story of their journey.
The irony of Poop McDinglefart having the most emotional character arc ever
Holy Frick I didn't expect this many like, I guess I am obligated to say thanks so.....thanks
He'll probably just come back as Darth Vader rip off 😁. Will probably call himself Darth Vapestick.
Don’t you mean Darth pooper? Or Greg, the garbage farm all terrible Alan characters or the poor suffering tone employee with the black and gold shirt.
Dook Farder?
It was a genius move actually.
Its basically that Slappy comic where a dude rolled up a character named Slap Happy Jack who was raised by clowns and threw cream pies as a weapon. At the end he sacrificed himself to let his party escape a collapsing temple much to the sadness of the rest of his party. Its usually the silly characters that end up being the most emotionally invested ones for the party since they usually come as mostly blank slates so you get to learn their stories during the game itself which connects you to them.
His family has got to be the ones who made Bodger's Ring, surely. Canon?
I so want that to be canon 😁
House Mcdinglefart long-standing nemesis of the Fantasmos
You're totally right! I can't imagine it not be!

I know the whole joke is that "Oh, Alan isn't taking the campaign seriously!" But he has come up with a pretty detailed and by the book back story and it's just as serious as the rest. Just the names are a joke, which is why by the end, everyone loves his character.
