Excellent playing, as usual. It's great to have the spotlight put on the bass in Pantera's music. Rex was the backbone of the band. He had the unenviable task of doubling Dimebag's riff on a bass guitar, while also locking in on the groove with Vinny. Most of Dime's solo spots don't even need an overdubbed rhythm guitar because Rex's bass was thick and powerful enough in its own. One of metal's most unsung bass players, for sure. You did a fantastic job honoring his playing.
@@silviaskull Oh no worries, I wasn't thinking that. Honestly the first time I covered Pantera, I really could not understand why the tuning was so weird

Thank you so much. The more I cover his basslines, the more I start to realize that he was really, really good at both playing and writing.
you are the best bass player in the world as of now
You’re aware Rex is still alive right?
Yes!
I LOVE this Pantera song so much, thank you for your amazing video posts! Rex Brown is such an amazing bassist imo. 🤘
No problem! He really is..
I believe the weird tuning is the reason I could not figure the riffs even from the isolated bass track.
Glad you managed it!
yeah it's an odd one. It's basically standard tuning, but around a quarter down. It takes a while to get it right
If you have a tuner that can adjust the Hz, turn it down to 425 and tune to standard tuning. Standard Hz is 440.
Incredibly tight! Thanks a lot for the tabs, too!😊
Thank you!
Rex is such a fantastic writer and player. Great job man sick song.
Definitely! Thank you :)
Hell Yeah Pantera Great band so good that a great bass player is playing it
Much appreciated!
Muy buena interpretación, gracias por compartir. Y ese Warwick suena poderoso !!

2:38 best pantera riff prove me wrong
Rex FTW 👍
Your covers are amazing 😄
Thank you so much!!
I read the tuning info cause I’m gonna need it. Thanks
I had this song down but could never figure out the picking pattern in that bridge.
Great Job man! You should do more Pantera! How about "This Love"?
Thank you! I think I need an 8 string bass for This Love though
@LeoBassCovers2 No problem! Yeah I think Rex might have used an 8 string on the record for that song but live he uses 4 or 5 string.
Besos!!!
How tf are you down picking all this it's so quick
Jesus .
I will be in the lab 90 days on this .
Nahh you got this
@@LeoBassCovers2 thank you for the support, I needed that big time ,that took alot of days off👍
Is eadg 1/4 down the same as d# a=425?
Did you use the isolated bass track to tab this song?
I did!
What's 1/4 step down?🤔
if 1/2 is a semi tone down, 1/4 would be half of that. So i guess you can call it a quarter down, or -50 cents down
@@LeoBassCovers2 never heard about this tuning
@@silviaskull Pantera are one of the few bands/artists that do this really..
@@LeoBassCovers2 I'm not saying that I don't believe you, just saying never heard about that, I never played Pantera
