Hollow Knight: All Shade Skips to Blue Lake

- Note about the dashless clawless skips, I used dash to get the attention of the shade and to get up to salubra for the sake of time. It is possible to get up there with using a parry off the shade or pogoing the fireball.
This is probably the best video I've made about Hollow Knight so far, I hope you can see that it took quite a bit of time. Shade skips are very satisfying and this video perfectly captures that I think.

I forgot the real way to progress so I used a shade skip! Thanks, FIRE OWL!
Beat false knight.Get vengeful spirit, go to greenpath, go beat hornet and get the mothwing cloak, go to jellyfish town through crossroads, then to fungal wastes, get claw. Through fungal wastes go to city of tears through the thorns using claw and dash and the crest from false knight and from there the game is yours.
You can apparently actually do it clawless, dashless, and without vs. I saw it on the great hopper% WR, so that shoul probably have a lot of time saving pottential.
OMG this helps so much with a Silence% challenge run (everyone a text box appears for is dead by the time you finish the game) I'm thinking of thx so much for showing me that lmao edit: ok nvm its still not possible :(

The clawless versions are actually pretty fun tho
Claw+dash one is pretty easy and very fun, I can get it pretty well. I'd recommend that one as a beginner shade skip. It's the first shade skip I ever did.
The first one I ever did was to get the mask shard in forgotten crossroads
@@Shnoz591 that's possible without shade, you can just lure the vengefly from the right and pogo off it

I just want to join Speedrunning community i tried to do this blue lake skip but My shade dies in 2 hits(i came here right after hornet in greenpath) and i could never do this glitch
Any tips?

You need mantis claw for the normal version of this skip. Also you upslash your shade once before doing the skip

I saw people doing without claw too but i guess i should practice more first with claw then without claw
@@lordofbrightnes7338 yeah if your doing any% nmg its with claw. you only do without claw in true ending nmg. It might be good to watch a video of the type of category you want to run.

I'm good with most of bosses doing radiant difficulty easily but radiance... That light scares me

How do you get the shade to spawn there? When I tried the shade skip, it spawned in the Gruz Mother room and it would fade away when getting close to Salubra
3 WEEKS. I CAME HERE FOR THIS EXACT QUESTION AND AFTER THIS COMMENT EXISTED FOR THREE WEEKS THE ANSWRR NEVER APPEARED
You have to die as much to the right as possible. Otherwise it doesn't spawn correctly.
Apparently you have to die right at the edge of where the husks can wander, then the shade will spawn a bit more to the right of where you died

Why is it not working for me? The blue lake entrance is all dark and I can’t get enough height to reach it
the darkness doesn't matter that's just an effect. for height, just keep practicing and try to get as much height as possible from the damage boost (assuming you're doing a shade skip with dboost). i recommend installing debug mod and using save states and/or lowering your fps using external software for higher pogos and damage boosts
How do you get the shade to spawn there?
If you get killed to the right of the Gruz Mother arena, your shade will spawn there. Hope this helps!

It doesn't have fireball or claw or dash or howling.
I'm wondering if it is possible to get to the great hopper under the nailmaster with the slash-dash.
Claw is needed in that same room; and desolate dive as well.
Dash and fireball aren't needed to get to soul master.
I think they are only needed in the queen's station and mantis claw rooms.

Now tell me how you get howling wraiths without claw and dash. Especially when you can do it with vengeful spirit
you can get itemless wraiths

@@gaghhuh2943 it's not really about what you would go for. if you could go for anything you might as well just grab everything. most of these skips are used in either randos or really restrictive challenge runs which is what i tend to do, that's why i made this video as a guide
