I was granted back stage access at one of their shows in 4th grade because they were trying to get with my mom. Thanks mom.
you got any siblings?
lol how old was she?
69th like NICE
Lucky fuck
LOL
Dave seems like an absolute dude
"Pain and pleasure at the same time. Sounds like constipation"
Sum 41: Dafuq
Not gonna lie, I would also fanboy to Sum 41, all killer no filler was an album that brings back amazing memories, they didn't just release music... they gave adolescence a soundtrack
Fuck yeah ! amazing album!
Byron Bowler so true
Byron Bowler maybe you should lie
I listened to Slipknot when I was eleven, then Sum 41 became my favourite band when I was around twelve, and I moved on to "real" punk bands from there. Whenever someone talks shit about Sum 41, I think "Meh, better than Slipknot." lmao.
It was a cultural movement :)
The interviewer is awesome, very good at keeping both dave and cone comfortable and asking great questions
it's like Dave hasn't aged
True he looks younger
not graduating high school does that
@@chriscuriosity idk man I only dropped out last year and I’m already looking a bit wilted
The ending was so beautiful. I can relate so much to that guy. Sum 41 is the reason I picked up the guitar eand started to play music in the first place aswell
Tobias E so true, me too, after watching their live videos “Live in London” i decided to learn guitar. Thank you sum 41.
Man before sum 41 I wasn't even listening to much music. I heard pieces at a house party which changed everything for me and now I am studying music :D
sameeee
Same
@@alexganje1715 must have been a pretty sad house party if they were playing pieces
"It's truly fitting that you're our 100th episode..."
*Fiction*
Would have been fitting if they'd been your 41st episode.
Holy shit he's wearing an Interrupters shirt. That's awesome.
Anyone else catch the feels when he started telling them how much of an impact they made on his life? :’)
Sum 41 all grew up in the town I live in called Ajax, my mother actually went to school with them and her and Dave Baksh were friends and he would drive her home from school. So I am a pretty big fan.
how old r u
@@simonorwell 12
I fucking love sum 41. I remember when I was like 6 or 7 and my older sister showed me “Still Waiting” while we were living in a hotel room for a little bit. Been my favorite band by far ever since.
"Smoke 'em up, Johnny!"
RIP Sum 41, the greatest pop punk and metal band of all time
I loved how grateful and humble the host was 😗 . Sum 41 fucking rocks
that speech at the end resonated so much with me. I basically wasn't interested in music until I heard AKNF when I was 11. While I did not end up a career musician, I do still make and perform music regularly on the side for fun and a little bit of money. Thank you Sum 41.
I miss Stevo, I loved watching his interviews...he was so damn funny. They're still good though!
Shaylin Osa Foxx give him 10 years, he'll be back just like Dave hahah
im not sure deryck will let go frank zummo,though..unless he left the band himself..but i think frank is a good replacement..he's probably as good as stevo
sure, but i do prefer stevo :) did you guys saw his song about star wars VII ? the stevo star wars christmas song's
@@wizardplum he is not coming back, he's doing pretty good at being a real estate broker
@@mrplut0 Frank is clearly better than Steve-o lol
Loved living in ajax and playing road hockey and it was normal for them to walk down the street... Then I moved to the dirty shwa yes life sucks lol, them and the Johnstones one of my faves
Yes! I remember meeting The Johnstones in Toronto yeeears ago before one of their shows. Keepin 6 were dope too!
Amazing interview. Sum 41 is dope
I love how passionate he gets at the end
Saw Sum 41 live in Winnipeg MB Canada two nights ago. they were fucking awesome!
These dudes are honestly why I started playing music too!
Pain and Pleasure = Constipation! Brilliant
that dude is back? he was my favorite in like 2000
You mean Brown Sound? Hell yeah he is back!
+higler420 yes him!
oh you can bet your sweet ass he is, back in the band at full power, he didnt get the chance to participate that much in the 13 voices album, but you can be sure that a future album will have many awesome solos by him, he still has godammit im dead again, which was epic, along with brown tom
@@ShadowLinx20111 currently listening to "out for blood". You were damn right!
I love those guys! Been to multiple Sum 41 concerts and am truly amazed how chill & friendly Dave is :) This interview is so fun to watch! I would love if the interviewer wouldn't be sitting with a huge DIN A4 paper in his lap though. It seems kind of unprofessional. Moderation cards would be a great addition in my opinion.
Probably when the 13 Voices cycle clears and they're up for it, it would be cool to see the "Screaming Bloody Murder" vid.
That ending got me right in the feels...
What a great ending, so much admiration clearly!
Saw them in Seattle last Saturday. Amazing
Dave's The Interrupters shirt
Damn it, NOW I have to see the music video!
I NEED TO SEE THAT VIDEO FOR SCREAMING BLOODY MURDER
Well we know most of the video, we just haven't seen it
@@Funnivids100 what is it about
@@russianchicken5775 mostly just sum 41 playing to a crowd of fans who were invited, fake blood was thrown all over the fans
@@Funnivids100 woah dude how do you know about it were u featured in it tom once told me that the video is pretty depressing and evil in a sadistic kind of way but never told me about any of the actual content
@@russianchicken5775 iirc I heard this on the Sum 41 subreddit by someone who went to the event. We know fans were invited at least as theres the facebook posts proving it, and multiple people came forward and said thats what happened, so I believe it
Looking back as well, this was one of the bands that got me more into rock and roll.
First 3 albums we're pretty good, and Brownsound is a cool guy. Glad he's back.
13 voices is amazing.
Infected was their last furious classic punk album. They went full metal-rock ballads after that
Huge fan, these guys are chill.
Release that fucking video please!!!
we must call f_society and hack his computer
anyone does have ideas about what this video is about? i mean it's screaming bloody murder, but for which music was it made for?
i believe screaming bloody murder
Carn Storch Mabey one day when sum41 ends they should
Seeing Graham go fanboy like that is the most amazing thing ever.
My favorite band
Being real. Sum 41 helped to get over life without my father.
Once again, Graham knocks it out of the park! Congrats on 100 episodes!
Awesome interview. Great people. Great music. The interview-dude is the best, man !
Gruhammed fanboy moment, totally would've done the same
This was nice to see and makes me happy how cool these guys are ❤
this was so sweet. i love gruhammed and sum41 were one of my first big influences too.
That Dewey Cox reference was to die for!
Thanks for the upload
this brought back memories.. good guys!
Just knowing that the video exists and that it'll never be released just irritates me, it's such a good song and needs the video, please!!!
green day next!!
Yes💚
Yes!!
I really hope they release screaming bloody murder music video
Serj tankian next.
Pepper Tejada or Daron Malakian
Kim Kardashian?
I love Serj and SOAD, but theyre kind of douchey and boring in interviews
omg they so old. iwas listening them in school
ThePredsedatel Cone is 36 (37 next month) and Dave is 37.
I love his Interrupters shirt!
I was in the "Screaming Bloody Murder" video. I hope one day they can release it.
Really?? What was it like?
What happened in it?
We need to know
Misty Lake wow you're full of shit xD
kingspadeklick813 Yeah he is a fucking liar.
Glad Dave is back
Congratulations on one million subs
Yay! Dave's back!
Damn, Scott Stapp got some serious tan going on.
you fucking win the internet
Bwwwwhhhaaaa ... I was looking at him thinking this guy looks familiar
Hide The Chicken lol
Hide The Chicken One way to make Scott Stapp look hot
@@leviathandiabolo6296 oh hey lmak
Knowing they have a music video for Screaming bloody murder that they won't release is actually killing me inside lmao
used to see these guys in Oshawa back in the late 90s, good times!!
You should turn the Congo story into an Epic Rock Tales episode! I think that would be quite good
i'm down the sum41 rabbit hole and i love it
Screaming Bloody Murder is one of my biggest favourite songs from Sum 41 and still waiting for the video. 😞
and it makes no difference at all
Chuck is one of the best albums ever made.
Gotta love the Dewey Cox reference! :D
Dave’s great
Do Blink 182 or Good Charlotte next!
LOVE this
You guys should bring on Glassjaw!
fact or fiction with Benjamin Burnley!
Yes please
Whoa! I saw these guys at Warped Tour in Springfield Mass in 98' ish and they were on a small stage and totally rocked. I think some German band Beefcakes played after or before them.
Man memories flooding back on this. I was driving a beat dick car that was overheating so I had to keep the heat on to keep it cool. Stop and go traffic on the way in with my foot getting cooked on the break pedal. Stopped in Holyoke and my friend Adam got offered crack. We bought oil for the broke dick car and "Rap Snacks' potato chips instead. Saw 7 seconds for the first time and had my mind blown. Bouncing souls were drunk, I forgive them now, kate is still great. Bad Religion still rocks and NOFX is still going hard. I think it must have been more like 2000 than 98.
This dude's fanboyism.
6:47 to about 6:57, for a second I was like "Man, imagine if that's where Sum 41's name came from"
Hector M. Alicea Torres It would have been fun but nope, that was between DTLI and chuck
That would be badass. There should have been a song with the title Sum 41 about that very day.
+schlafanzyk Well, Introduction to Destruction, their first song from their debut has: "The dark armies then will come, when the Sum is 41." ;)
I like to imagine they were playing around with a calculator while high and they got a sum of 41 and they were that should be the name of our band
Love their first album
jason4275
Love all of them
Half hour of power?
I love that Interuppters shirt
I died when he referenced Dewey Cox😂
The interrupters t-shirt ! That band played same stage with them?
Yeeee. Saw them both this year in Sacramento
Bring on Marilyn fucking Manson!!!'
YUUUSSS
***** You're gross
Eddie The Head even if you don't like him you have to admit he's somewhat interesting
Hell yeah the interrupters are badass!
9:08 The feels
Much music has video footage of the Congo,.. I remember watching that shit!
Please, do Jeff Waters of Annihilator PLEASE!
Mikael Wiklund Roger Waters*

@Eddie The Head just mark and travis
UNDEADHASRISEN yeah, “mark, do you like Tom?”

So where's 40? 39? 38?
Right lol
Dave is wearing the T shirt of my little bro's fav band, wish id seen both in France...
“Pain and pleasure at the same time sounds like constipation”

I was hoping Deryck would be there but these guys are fine too
The end here is the most powerful thing in the world
6:48 so...the sum of the people at the hotel was 41?
Do Avenged Sevenfold next!
Agreed!!!!
Should have been the 41st episode, but I'll take it.
Do a Wikipedia Fact or Fiction with James Hetfield please!!!
