Rocketeer...one of the most beautiful and exciting pieces of music from my childhood. If I could speak to the deceased, I would thank this guy.

My all-time favorite movie composer from my childhood and beyond. His scores alone elevated average films to greatness. Just as a bad score can make an otherwise decent film lousy, a magical score can imprint fonder memories of a film that wouldn't do so without it.
Rocketeer is a childhood favorite.

Would have loved to hear some of the lesser known stuff like Glory, Project X, *Batteries Not Included, Cocoon and Deep Impact.
Did they have to end this medley with Neville Sinclair destroying the “land” part of the Hollywoodland sign? What a funny and explosive finale!

I wish musicians would stay away from small airplanes. We’ve lost way too many icons. Also, Horner was actually in the audience of this concert. Very sad that he is now gone.

James Horner was a pilot who loved flying. As far as I know, Buddy Holly wasn’t. Horner actually died doing one of the things he loved the most.
