Use sleeper and bodyshot the whole Team! Its takes no skill and you dont even need any kind of aim! Perfect for all those noobs that walk around in gambit
Use sleeper and win, and also have dawnblade warlocks on your team that invade when theres no sleeper ammo. Wait until you have Primeaval slayer x6 or so and burn the boss in 5 seconds. The mode is pretty cancer rn to be honest, sleeper ruins it imo

It’s taken a lot of hours. But it felt damn good to have worked most of this stuff out alone or with friends/randos. And there’s still plenty more to uncover. The way this area is designed is exactly how a patrol zone should be done. It is bursting with secrets and things to discover. It has amazing verticality. For the first time ever, you’re not always being left wishing you could go that bit further. You can pretty much go anywhere you can see.

I haven't even been online since the day after the expansion released, when I got to the Dreaming City, because I just didn't have the patience for looking around every single goddamn corner of the place in order to find ways to progress. Now I feel comfortable enough to explore with at least a little idea of what to focus on. Can't wait for more from you, Datto. You never disappoint.

terrylogginss nothing is beating that last year of destiny 1 armor raid ornaments those were just too amazing imo. Disappointed that they haven’t even did any of those in d2 yet...well they have but current raid ornaments are garbage
Pedantry in 3, 2, 1 ... It's "a-NATH-ema", not "ana-THEME-a". Also, the corsair down can lead to a new pursuit if you do enough in a single week. There's a thread on /r/raidsecrets about it right now, but /u/GrimnirFaltz. Not sure if there is more to that that is still undiscovered, but at least it's something.
I can't tell you hiw fun it's been finding out most of this stuff on my own. Beat the week one ascendant challenge on my first try, was very satisfying. Well done, bungo.
Thanks for the heads up on this stuff. It looks like the dreamiing city holds a lot of secrets and the "Last Wish" raid probably has many secrets to. I love that everything changes week to week. I feel like a noob trying to learn all this and im a week one destiny nerd.

SirCreepsAlott there are way more improvements in this game that make it different and better than just D1, it makes it even more complex than D1 even. The beginning of D2 was rough, they tried a different approach and failed, now they’ve changed things.
SirCreepsAlott Masterworks and mods. They make the system more complex and are something we haven’t seen before. Oh and an ACTUAL endgame area. Also, exotics are actually powerful now, whereas in D1 most exotics were either terrible, situational or just got nerfed into the ground. Crucible is in a better place than it’s ever been in and they actually made peeks that matter, armor perks in D1 were there but mostly negligible. Now most of them are noticeable. There are clear successions here, and yes, I understand greed. However, everyone complained that D1 was too grindy most of the time, so they took it a step back and tried something different. Did they hope it would make money? I’m sure they did, but now they know what the fans really want and are moving in that direction. Bungie isn’t always the money grubbing monster you want to think they are, but they have had their moments. The game is in a better state than even Taken King was in.
First I have to say this was an awesome video. You spoke very clear and took your time to explain what you was showing. Like others, I am too busy with work and being a parent that I don't have the time or luxury to find out these things myself. Sometimes I have to just play the game because it's too late at night for me to RUclips this info because I just want to play the game and go to bed. However, I did manage the time to watch this video on my break at work and it was spot on. Before watching this video I actually found one of the arc balls or whatever its called and said "what the hell I do with this crap now, so I just started running hoping something pops up telling where to go, lol." Thank you Datto, thank you very much for you to take the time our of your busy schedule to help us gamers who are dads and other games as well. I appreciate what you do, I really do.
Just a quick correction. The blind well doesn't give a higher % of bounty completion based on tier but it actually just always gives you 10% per boss killed. Since tier 2 and tier 3 have 2 and 3 bosses respectively it's basically the same thing but even if you only kill some of the bosses you still get percentage which is nice. Not trying to be knit-picky just wanted to clarify because it was nice to try the harder ones and fail but still get percentage for it.

Another note about the acendent challenges is looking at the flavor text at the very bottom of the weekly bounty gives a nice hint as to where the rift is.

I didn’t think Bungie would be able to one up The Taken King, Rise of Iron, or D1s moments of triumph, but man, this dlc blew me out of the water. It fully encompasses everything I love about destiny in year 2 form. The story was great and compelling, the characters were likable and memorable, the new strikes are great, Gambit is game changing fantastic, and the dreaming city is more than I could have asked for. I’m so thoroughly satisfied by this and I think after D2 year 1, Bungie has actually managed to redeem themselves. Confirmed though, I will be waiting to purchase D3 until year 2 haha
Pro tip for last week's ascendent challenge (for when it loops back around): You can cheese the last part of the encounter by standing on any crystal near the statue and leaping onto the statue in the middle. From there you can kill most of the crystals at your leisure safe from the knights and thrall and super/rocket/grenade the rest. I've only tested it on the crystals while they're shielded as my fireteam's plan was to have one person kill the last blight while everyone else was camping on the statue.
There's also a portal "without being ascendent" you can take that takes you directly to the area where u can buy the ascendent potions. It's in the area where the Ascendent challenge portal is. Pretty cool the place has like 4 portals in it that take u to the top,bottom, right side of the map. Ran across this yesterday

I haven't gotten to it yet but I heard Datto say something about having ti kill: "anatheema's" I'm sure that's spelled: ANATHEMA?? If so, that's pronounced: a NATH ima. It means cursed, as in cur SED, , not just regular "cursed". Just sayin'! I like that word!
Two notes about the saboteur event thing: I had one spawn at a third separate pool area then you showed prior to this weekly reset, like two days ago. It's the one closer to where you come in from divalian mists. Also after I picked up the orb to take it to be cleansed I rallied a public event flag and it appeared to have ate the charge. Not sure what any of that means, if anything, just thought I'd drop the info here. Good video datto.
I recommend when you make videos about the dreaming city videos you put the dates in the title that way people can find the video they need, or maybe say it at the beginning of the video. Would be very useful for your subs. I enjoy your videos hope my recommendation is helpful.

There's an area called the confluence that has several portals that will take you all over the map. I used a portal in the Garden of Esila to get there.
Thank you and fantastic guide but you missed one thing. In divallia mists there are 3 round stones when all stepped on at the same time while glowing a boss shows up and drops 2 chests as well as a triumph
Me at 9:30 frantically trying to pay attention to all three screens before I realize I can just watch them one at a time. Also, Datto is a true Titan main. Punching the arc charge locations when he gets there to assert dominance.
For the week two Ascendant Challenge I managed to solo it. But it was made much easier since Nova Warp warlock when fully charged will stun things around you. Which kept the knights from hitting and killing me.
You can get to vendors quicker if you go to oracle entrance and jump down the bridge to the right into the portal, then just keep going left till you get to another portal
I think you need a full set of the armor with the Ascendence buff on to destroy the Taken looking stones. Having ascendence active while wearing the armor gives you a taken effect on the armor (makes you look taken)
Hopefully the dreaming city really does change a lot. Currently it’s massive but content wise feels pretty empty. Also, how tf is this an endgame area if anything that isn’t a bounty is lower than gear I already have
The way loot drops is different in destiny than in other games. Instead of being based on what u kill/where, the power level of items you get is based on your power level. Until 500, you get progressively more powerful gear. However, it soft caps at 500, which means that once you reach that point, any gear you receive that isn't powerful gear will be weaker than your average light level.
gravendanger well we still have to discover the queens court, which is linked to Mara sovs throne world, and we have the heroic blind well, as well as other blind wells, probably for the taken and maybe the hive
Thanks even as a D1 one beta player OG I was a little overwhelmed by all the....stuff to do. I feel Bungie needs to explain the grind a little better and what to really expect out of what you well get in terms of power boosts from what I call the "milestone" challenges as opposed to the gains maid in the Dreaming City and eventually the Raid.
I soloed this weeks ascendant challenge. It wasn't too terribly easy, but u basically just kite the knights and keep getting your super to kill the knights.
Here is a tip on that event 2:00 then it starts equip an exotic weapon called "Telesto" (in german) that weapon shoots red bubble things and then they hit the ground (dont shoot another player with it otherwise it wont count!) they will sit there, empty the hole magazin and after they explode they give you around 30%-55% light (which you actually gets from killing enemys) and well the whole event is broken but thats a another story.

There's an area called the confluence that has several portals that will take you all over the map. I used a portal in the Garden of Esila to get there.
For the Corsair Down quests there are 6 different ones total to collect and when you finish all 6 you unlock a new Weekly Bounty.
You can use arc charges dropped in the public event for the chests as well, FYI

Thank you and fantastic guide but you missed one thing. In divallia mists there are 3 round stones when all stepped on at the same time while glowing a boss shows up and drops 2 chests as well as a triumph

Me at 9:30 frantically trying to pay attention to all three screens before I realize I can just watch them one at a time.
Also, Datto is a true Titan main. Punching the arc charge locations when he gets there to assert dominance.
For the week two Ascendant Challenge I managed to solo it. But it was made much easier since Nova Warp warlock when fully charged will stun things around you. Which kept the knights from hitting and killing me.
The invader event seems like way too much freakin work for no pay off lol. Great vid doe 👊

You can get to vendors quicker if you go to oracle entrance and jump down the bridge to the right into the portal, then just keep going left till you get to another portal
I think you need a full set of the armor with the Ascendence buff on to destroy the Taken looking stones. Having ascendence active while wearing the armor gives you a taken effect on the armor (makes you look taken)

Hopefully the dreaming city really does change a lot. Currently it’s massive but content wise feels pretty empty. Also, how tf is this an endgame area if anything that isn’t a bounty is lower than gear I already have
The way loot drops is different in destiny than in other games. Instead of being based on what u kill/where, the power level of items you get is based on your power level. Until 500, you get progressively more powerful gear. However, it soft caps at 500, which means that once you reach that point, any gear you receive that isn't powerful gear will be weaker than your average light level.
gravendanger well we still have to discover the queens court, which is linked to Mara sovs throne world, and we have the heroic blind well, as well as other blind wells, probably for the taken and maybe the hive
That's a lot of cool looking stuff in the Dreaming City I'll never get to do because they only drop blues.

I feel Bungie needs to explain the grind a little better and what to really expect out of what you well get in terms of power boosts from what I call the "milestone" challenges as opposed to the gains maid in the Dreaming City and eventually the Raid.

I soloed this weeks ascendant challenge. It wasn't too terribly easy, but u basically just kite the knights and keep getting your super to kill the knights.
Here is a tip on that event 2:00 then it starts
equip an exotic weapon called "Telesto" (in german)
that weapon shoots red bubble things and then they hit the ground (dont shoot another player with it otherwise it wont count!)
they will sit there, empty the hole magazin and after they explode they give you around 30%-55% light (which you actually gets from killing enemys) and well the whole event is broken but thats a another story.
