History/Context : The Magistratum Mundanus is a roleplaying session set in the Marginalia of Warhammer 40k. Tex, an out of practice DM of Rogue Trader and Dark Heresy brushed off his very dusty skills (after a 10 year hiatus of DMing no less!) to tell a story of . . . well. . . you'll see.
The magistratum Mundanus itself is a homebrew of FFG's Dark heresy 1 and 2, along with several select modifications to small arms and explosion rules to ensure combat is faster, more lethal, and stupidity is curtailed regarding willy-nilly use of violence. Regardless of this, the team does what it does.
Further: This is non canon in the extreme, and is based largely upon what Tex remembered from his heyday of 40k lore and the fandom, and is in no way whatsoever relevant to the current world as it stands, its current lore, or should ever be judged on the accuracy thereof.
Note: This is a game among friends having fun. The audio gets better over time as we were figuring out what in the hell we were doing. Please enjoy!

I mentioned this in the BPL Patreon, but you CAN smoke through a gas mask. I learned this from the radio techs in my first unit in the Marine Corps. We were doing a mock-NBC (now CBRN) event, wherein we had to operate in full MOPP gear, which included gas masks. Most of the smokers didn't enjoy this, because it kept them from their nicotine. The radio techs, however, came up with a simple solution. They took one of those old pens that tapered narrower to one end and removed the writing portion and the ink stick. They clipped the narrow end, turning the pen into a stem, then jabbed the pen into the drinking tube of the gas mask. After that, it was just a matter of sticking the cigarette into the stem and they could smoke freely.
NBC Sergeant: "You are DEFEATING THE PURPOSE of those gas masks!" (he didn't report them, he was thoroughly checked out of the event at this point, the unit didn't pay attention to the chemical warfare presentation that explained a location struck by chemical attack is NO LONGER OPERABLE until the site is cleaned up; so he figured "Hey, however you guys make this fun.")

Listening to this on the way to dealing with the State bureaucracy was a nice thing. Especially the "i make no promises" concerning the massacre of nearly everyone involved when it comes to Delta cleaning house.

Gotta say this one really hit home for me with the Froggo made friends with Grigglak. Victor having a mind melt had me in stitches. Uriah for some fucked up reason just reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Ned goes to Vegas with Homer. Literally said as he lit up the ratlings “Oh somebody had their first but if bloodlust”. Ricky seeing hell itself and shrugging it off was hilarious in and of itself. Half expected him to talk about the “purple acid” he stopped being worse than this. And of course Quinn causing this absolute madness is just the cherry on top. Guys I genuinely love this game you’re playing. I had so many flashbacks to my old D&D sessions complete with Southern comfort and satans lettuce it warmed the cockles of my blackened heart. Can’t wait for the next one.
Also calling it now. Vic and the Captain are gonna have a thing. No way the two most hard assed vets of the most badass guard legions (short of the Iron guard) wouldn’t not hook up at least once. Especially working in this situation where a good shit kicker is hard to find.

As the guy in my friend group who is always stuck behind the GM screen... A) I greatly appreciate how well Tex takes on the utter insanity of this bunch of chuckleheads with a hearty, "Yes, and..."; and B) this is *exactly* the kind of game I want to be in when the rare occasion comes up that I get to be a player, rather than GM.

Imagine the kneecapping scene from T2, except instead of shooting a hapless, unalert security guard in the kneecaps, our guy shot him in the face. With a Barrett. At point-blank range. Another time we were supposed to kidnap someone. We literally snuck into her bedroom and woke her up at gunpoint. My teammate said, "No sudden moves," and I said screw that and stunbolted her anyway. She was supposed to be a mage, so I really let her have it. She blew her soak and her head burst like it was freakin' _Scanners_ up in here. Believe me when I say two examples is the beginning of the dump-truck of gratuitous corpses, not the end. Good times.
I'm just expecting the frog to be the most unflappable Catachan Barking Toad who's constantly forced into situations where one small spook could cause him to explode and single-handedly wipe the entire party.

I must say this is too tier 40K RPG Media you got here tex, I only have two small critiques that could help if you ever did more stuff like this. 1: let the viewers see what the players see during battle. Don't go full retard like Critical Role because having character art and background for most of it teases your imagination into doing it's job which is the whole point of a good story/roleplay. 2: When you address the player try to refer to their character name instead of player alias/real name as it helps even seasoned players stay in character and think as their character more.
That's it. Everything else is damn near perfect and I'd be nitpicking way harder than I am now if I even dared look for anything else to critique. Well done with this, I can tell you all had a blast with this and that enjoyment really extends to the audience in a powerful way, wish I discovered your podcast a long time ago. Rock on Cargo-mans.

tabletop simulator, is that's what's being used? All the stuff falling through the game surface...that should be coded like minecraft bedrock. Every movable object should default to "above it." (yes I know there used to be occasional holes in the bedrock. I'm taking on the concept level.)
TTS is kludge together nightmare spaghetti code. And also costs about 750 thousand USD. Because literally EVERYTHING you want to run in it is a BASIC package with all the things you need to ACTUALLY run whatever game you're trying to, that's another 12 DLC packs. So if you want to play DND 5e, it is literally cheaper to BUY every splaybook that has ever existed, and BUY literal slaves to force them to play it with you.
TTS is unbelievable BULLSHIT and 'HA HA FUCK YOU PLAYERS'.
