If after listening or watching this interview, you do not realize Bruce Springsteen is a top 5 artist of all time. You are not paying attention. The man is a gift. A special light in this world.
OMG imagine having the presence of mind to sing such a song at that moment, to see Clarence out. Imagine being there in the room. Say what you like about Springsteen, the guy is special
I've been a fan of Bruce Springsteen ever since my teenage daughter Kris dragged me out of the kitchen to watch him sing Dancing in the Dark. That was in 1984. Kris passed over into the land of hope and dreams almost 15 years ago. One of my best memories of her was going to see Bruce perform live in Indianapolis. I'm 84 now and still a fan.
@@Joe-vc6bf Exactly! Bruce belongs to humanity! He, his music, his poetry and his heart of gold, his art, is universal. This American from Jersey Shore belongs to the planet!
This song I always thought was underrated this acusestic version brings out a different perspective Bruce and Howard have brought out something special with these sessions better late than never really great
The Boss is the BOSS! My sister and I loved his friendship with the BIG MAN, and it's so great to see the King of All Media interview him about this precious tender moment in such a classy, fine way. RIP CC!!!!
A good friend of mine died in May. His wife asked a few musicians and all of us at the house to sing some of my friend's favorite songs at his bedside. It was a beautiful way to see John on to his next chapter. What a lovely thing for Bruce to do for Clarence.
When the time does come I think we all would want Bruce singing this song on our way to the other side. What a beautiful song. This is the first time I've heard it. A real spiritual song.
This is by far the song that speaks of life’s travels from meeting your life’s companion and finally meeting all those you loved in that land of Hope and dreams
So...So...SO, He has done it, he has converted me to a very intrigued and very much a fan of BRUCE AFTER ALL THESE YEARS.. You won me over, your music was always superior now I am a total fan!! Your personality has grown with maturity...GOOD ON YA ...

You can see Bruce is still emotional when he talks about Clarence's passing. I for sure got a bit teary-eyed when he started playing. RIP the Big Man

I'm crying now. How did he hold himself together to do that for his friend? What a gift Bruce is to our world.
Me too🥺 and I had the same thought 💭 🙏❣️
Makes you cry. I want to think that the big man is playing his sax for the angels up above, the angels looking over his brother the Boss.
You can still see how emotional it is for Bruce to talk about Clarence!!
When words couldn‘t tell music does! Bruce Springsteen is a legend in my life!
Legend with capital L for sure.
I'm 76 and started playing because of people like Bruce...inspirational
Breaks my heart to see how much it still hurts.
In happy times and sad and uncertain ones, this song always swoops in to be there for us.
It feels Bruce is nearly crying ! We all miss Clarence and Danny so much. Thank you Bruce for the Music and all you mean to me.
This is one of the best interviews, Bruce is truly the Boss and Howard is fantastic allowing the interview time to breath.
Well said.
That's what a friendship is for.... being there 'till the end... well done, Boss!
How sad to hear Bruce say that but at least he was there with Clarence in his final hours
What a friendship...Bruce you are The Boss
Bruce Springsteen❤ is also an international treasure!!! Good wishes from his warm admirer Svein in Norway🎉
The best interview and both were in a natural conversation.
I cried while he played these songs, driving down the road.

My favourite Bruce song
How beautiful, that Bruce was at Clarence's side, at the end- (and he could sing this song to him, as he passed).

I’m so sorry for your loss. What a lovely thing you did.
What a living legend. He really knows the meaning of words. Pretty much every one of his songs could be a movie or a book.
This is heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time! ❤️
We should all hope to have such loving care at our passing.

This was my favorite moment when I listened to the show yesterday.
Fell in love with his music a 1000 miles away. Shaped my 1980s. Trapped. Let me leave it here.
Love the song and this human....
Bruce is the master of words.
This is the greatest Music related show in business. Thank you for this show Howard!
I've loved Bruce since I was thirteen 1977
First. Hi Bruce, I don't know how you do it, I would have (and have) cried doing that. All the best with the coming tour.

Music matters, this interview is the pudding.
Love this, all of it. Sadness in song, a beautiful thing;
There are no words....
You can feel the strong connection between the two with every word. Missing Clarence !
I wrote the word's 'Meet me in the land of hope & dreams' on my Papa's obituary
I was in a room twice in my life with people were dying, I wish I could have been as passionate as Bruce.
Howard has the best seat in the House !
I LOVE you BRUCE always, always ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Soulman! He's a damn Soulman!
Genius, and one of the GOAT.

I cannot imagine this interview happening on Howard Stern’s show during the 90s. Imagine having this followed by porn stars, deformed midgets, etc.
definitely not. thats why it took bruce 25 years to do this interview. howard was very mean towards him in the 90s.
Get me a hanky!!!
It was the perfect parting song for Clarence. Truly one of Bruce's best.

Boss stops talking and just plays the song
Bruce canceled a concert in Charlotte NC because the Mayor didn't want to allow men to go into girls both rooms . This is what kind of person he is .
