Man! This song has always been one of my faves. My eyes well up with tears because it's such a good song, with such a beautiful sentiment. I feel it gets lost in the 80's shuffle but it's always been an important one for me . Glad he paid it a beautiful tribute
Nightshift is indeed a beautiful song. Bruce got musicians and an arrangement that's excellent for this song. Great to hear him sing this. (Tunnel of Love is an awesome LP)
The original "Night Shift" is an incredible song. The Commodores at the time did a phenomenal job with that song. Most people don't understand what it's about. It's nice that Bruce appreciates that song.
Its a beautiful cover, Bruce has got that soul in his voice... he's a great singer and he can turn his voice to multiple styles/genres. Long live the boss!
I’m a long time Bruce fan, my favorite album of his is Tunnel of Love. I always thought it was great even though the cd would always be in the discount rack, lol
Howard really has grown and changed. He still is nuts -but seems at peace with himself, and not tortured and manic like he was in the 90s. I enjoyed him then, but as he is grown to an authentic whole person. I think people who want 90s Howard might be stuck themselves.
Howard is a top top class interviewer. Great chemistry with Bruce and had him at ease throughout the entire thing. Certainly far from the one time shock jock, he is a brilliant broadcaster 👏 👏
Having seen him in East-Berlin in 1988, singing Bob Dylan's Chimes of Freedom... I agree, cover songs can be beautiful, if properly selected and arranged, fitting the artist.
Nightshift is one of His Best Recording Ever. Even That Song Is Not His Own. I Know this song Because I am a fan the Boss. Thank You Bruce... from Indonesia
Me ha sorprendido el nuevo álbum. Es maravilloso. Con esa gran voz puede cantar lo que quiera. Es un placer que sigamos disfrutando de su voz. Big Bruce!!
Bruce still has his voice, which is pretty incredible at his age. It's ;tough listening to some great contemporaries of his as they lose it. CoughBillyCoughPaul.
I loved the 'Tunnel of Love' album. It's the one that got me. Bruce was an 80's also-ran to me before that. With 'Tunnel,' he got my attention. Then I got curious, "What else does he have to say?"
I loved Tunnel of Love! I had it on tape (yes I said tape) in my car and someone broke into it and stole all my cassettes, Tunnel of Love being one of them. It broke my heart because I loved that tape.
Great Song ( Commodores) Beautiful Cover Voice Warm Sound Music Choirs Musicians all is Wonderful.. clip Masterpiece too !! Thank you very To Dear Bruce Springsteen and More..Love Beauty Love... .🎶🎵💖🌐💖😍🤩💖🎶❤
Lol I love the cars and girls songs. Darkness on the Edge of Town,Born to Run, The River which I think is epic and Born in the USA. No disrespect to The Boss but just what I like best Tunnel of Love started a big change and I still like some after like Radio Nowhere that rocks but we all often like the past for music
Whenever I want to lecture someone or tell someone the moral of a story or let someone down easily I feel I can always do it better to a nice mellow soundtrack,

This interview was superb. No one in the history of media has interviewed musicians better than Howard. Amazing, amazing 2 hours.

So agree! And what a perfect song for him too.

Strange. Not a huge Springsteen fan but loved Tunnel of Love.
This interview with Bruce Springsteen is absolutely phenomenal! Exceptionally joyful to listen to 🎼👏💕
His version of “Nightshift” is an incredible tribute to an incredible song.
Its a beautiful cover, Bruce has got that soul in his voice...
Agreed
Had no idea he had covered Night Shift. Love the Boss and love that song.
So true what he says about people using "you've changed" as an insult. Usually the biggest problem is no change in people
Loved this interview. Maybe Howard’s best ever. Need another couple hours with Bruce.
Damn it’s good seeing Howard in the studio
What a class act!!!!! I love you, Bruce!! Thank you!
I've been listening to Nightshift for the past 10 years nonstop. I really thought I was the only one. I don't feel so alone now, THANK YOU BRUCE!!!
The original "Night Shift" is an incredible song. The Commodores at the time did a phenomenal job with that song. Most people don't understand what it's about. It's nice that Bruce appreciates that song.

Fantastic, captivating interview! I've never heard Bruce this relaxed and expansive.
I’m a long time Bruce fan, my favorite album of his is Tunnel of Love. I always thought it was great even though the cd would always be in the discount rack, lol
Tunnel is my favorite too
Me too. My first concert was the ToL tour in 88.
Wow, he looks good and such a great attitude!
Looking forward to this album
I only heard this a few days ago and I was like "I don't ever remember Bruce doing this" I loved it!
Bruce still looks great after all these years.
Both of these guys are amazing artists.
Howard really has grown and changed. He still is nuts -but seems at peace with himself, and not tortured and manic like he was in the 90s. I enjoyed him then, but as he is grown to an authentic whole person.
I think people who want 90s Howard might be stuck themselves.
LOVE YOU BRUCE!!
😊
I have been arguing about the evolution of an artist for years. I loved the beginning and as I grew so did his music it is still growing thankfully.
Still handsome and charming. Bruce has aged well.
Bruce is such a cool human being ✊🏻✌🏻
It’s evolution baby!
What an amazing interview and so happy for Howard !!!
He sounds great!
I love this. Howard’s haters always talk about how he has changed. Of course he has. Why haven’t you all changed?
❤️Beautiful song! Fantastic interview! You are really a man full
of surprises!❤️
"Nebraska" is my favorite Springsteen album.
I love the subtlety around how Howard is holding his microphone and Bruce holding his guitar. Like connected body parts
Listening from Montreal, great interview Howard. Bruce was so professional. I had chills listening.
Howard is a top top class interviewer. Great chemistry with Bruce and had him at ease throughout the entire thing. Certainly far from the one time shock jock, he is a brilliant broadcaster 👏 👏
Enjoyed listening to this today at work.
He's such a down to earth guy I love all that he does🥰🥰🥲🥲🥰
What a legend! Rock on Bruce and mind the darkness at the edge of town…
I love the song tunnel of love from 1987.
Great to see the Boss honoring the amazing song that is Nightshift. Glad to see Howard back in the studio!
Having seen him in East-Berlin in 1988, singing Bob Dylan's Chimes of Freedom... I agree, cover songs can be beautiful, if properly selected and arranged, fitting the artist.
As you mature , you grow. It’s an intellectual process .
I got into Bruce when he had born in the USA and tunnel of love.
Nightshift is one of His Best Recording Ever. Even That Song Is Not His Own. I Know this song Because I am a fan the Boss. Thank You Bruce... from Indonesia
Incredible interview
I love this song by Bruce. ❤️❤️👍👍🎸🎸🎸🎸
His cover of Nightshft is incredible
Me ha sorprendido el nuevo álbum. Es maravilloso. Con esa gran voz puede cantar lo que quiera. Es un placer que sigamos disfrutando de su voz. Big Bruce!!
Exactamente ❤
As for his change, I like him better now than in his early years...love his work...
Bruce still has his voice, which is pretty incredible at his age. It's ;tough listening to some great contemporaries of his as they lose it. CoughBillyCoughPaul.
Billy Joel's voice went out a long time ago... He plays songs a whole step down.
I loved the 'Tunnel of Love' album. It's the one that got me. Bruce was an 80's also-ran to me before that. With 'Tunnel,' he got my attention. Then I got curious, "What else does he have to say?"
My favourite

Bruce looks incredible, 3 hours shows doing Him well
I grew up with the The River double album,I also love Born in the U.S.A. and Tunnel of Love
As much as I loved the Born to Run and The River albums, Tunnel of Love is probably my top album of his.
12 songs, 10 masterpieces
THE BOSS
The interview was incredible from start to finish.
'new dimensions with gusto....fabulous!'
Great Song ( Commodores)
Beautiful Cover Voice Warm Sound Music Choirs Musicians all is Wonderful.. clip Masterpiece too !! Thank you very To Dear Bruce Springsteen and More..Love Beauty Love...
.🎶🎵💖🌐💖😍🤩💖🎶❤
Tunnel of Love is Bruce's Blood on The Tracks...a great album...but for me it's either Nebraska or Wild & Innocent at the top.
Darkness was my introduction to Springsteen and that record still holds sway with me.
me too! proud of you. guapooooo. te quiero! kisses from Donosti❤❤❤❤
Nightshift is the rare commodore song that hit after Lionel Ritchie left the group.i hope folks look at there catalog great songs great group.
🤣 the thoughts were romantic, but in reality it was not 🤣 love pure honesty 🥰🎶
Cool. 1 place I can get song that I've loved. And, Bruce ain't bad himself...LOL!!! Bruce is an awesome human being. ❤️
God, I’d love to near bruce sing “Wichita Lineman”. That’d be amazing.
That’s a fantastic song that is incredibly underrated
His version of Rhinestone Cowboy on the Western Stars film is top notch!
The man is 73. Unbelievable.
Lol I love the cars and girls songs. Darkness on the Edge of Town,Born to Run, The River which I think is epic and Born in the USA. No disrespect to The Boss but just what I like best
Tunnel of Love started a big change and I still like some after like Radio Nowhere that rocks but we all often like the past for music
Definitely worth clearing the building for!
He looks younger than ever!
wealth helps maintain health and fights age
@@christopherallen9580 I don’t know. Did you see Johnny Cash at his safe?
The Boss meets the King.
Whenever I want to lecture someone or tell someone the moral of a story or let someone down easily I feel I can always do it better to a nice mellow soundtrack,
"Make the audience care about your obsessions."
Bruce I wish I could see you, but a have to wait until you come North Spain. Family comes first
“You changed man!…. Yeah… but why didn’t you change?” Absolute gems.
The Boss has written more great songs than all the artists out now combined!
@@alexandriaocasio-smollett5078 just some boomer talk without any critical thinking or common sense
lol, Dolly Parton has written more songs than Bruce can count.
You should hear Robert Pollard of guided by voices - yes they're more of a cult band but also a great prolific songwriter
@@jeffsummers1894 What has that got to do with it?
This interview was so great that I spit out my coffee and crashed my car
The boss is the boss
Bruce continues to change - for the better. Maybe his few detractors should do the same.
❤
everyone changes so artists do too
me too!!
Marvin! Look Out!
He’s still not back in the studio????
Doubleyoooenbeecee
The one thing that is constant in life is change. Fool yourself
Could Bruce Springsteen beat Howard Stern in a fight? 🤔
Howard left his house?!?!!??! I hope they cleared the hallways.
He left his house already. Couple of weeks ago. Went to a restaurant w. Kimmel and others. MASKLESS. THE OTHERS WERE TOO.
@@ldybozz MASKLESS?!?!?!?!??!
Racket.
why sing other people's songs though? He has many unreleased songs and recordings he could revisit.
Bruce canceled a concert in Charlotte NC because the Mayor didn't want to allow men to go into girls both rooms . This is what kind of person he is .
I hope he is not proud of the ticket pricing he allowed for upcoming concerts. A lot of very disappointed life long fans out here.
How refreshing it is not to hear Robin adding her two cents during the interview.
Howard is proud of his evolution beyond anything funny or interesting
Fourth!!
The Boss ist God... Not Bruce 🤫
First!
Who cares who is first
I hate being the guy, but first
If you don't change along your path you have learned nothing.
Howard wouldn't even come into the studio for Bruce fuckin Springsteen? He's still THAT paranoid about covid?
he is in the studio
You need better eyes.
My favourite 2 people.
Loved the old stuff
