  • An aging movie star (Burt Reynolds) accepts an invitation to receive a lifetime achievement award at a film festival, but the ceremonies are far from the glamour he anticipated. The former star reflects on his life while accompanied by a brash millennial chauffeur in this dramedy written and directed by Adam Rifkin.

I am devastated that Burt has passed away. I can almost say that I love HIM more than his acting achievements...and his acting has been phenomenal!
His sense of humour was super intelligent, with a brilliantly heightened social awareness.
But, the guy was also incredibly warm, and had such an appreciation for other actors and performers - and this is fairly rare within an often ego-driven industry. Burt was always receptive to new, young talent, and was so easily able to divorce himself from any sense of self-importance; always ready to embrace his fellow industry peers - actors and directors alike.
He was a true legend. His star will shine eternally bright.

This interviewer clearly did NOT do a lot of homework before meeting here with Burt, which is REALLY annoying and disprespectful. And to not know Burt was a gifted football player and a hardcore "college"/Florida State football fan is rediculous! Burt is rightfully annoyed by this.

This is freaking painful to watch! The interviewer knows little about Burt, and the audience seems like they don't have a clue who he is. He was a really BIG deal. The movie looks like a really good movie. Getting older is a bitch!!

I didn't get Kathleen Nolans' small role in this movie.
Was she in a movie with him a long time ago, that I'm not aware of ?
And I also wonder if she is suffering from Alzheimers in real life now ?

Always thought Sharkey's Machine was a awesome movie . To bad he didn't direct more . To bad he didn't do Terms of Endearment.
All my hero's growing up are almost all gone . McQueen , Newman , Wayne , now Reynolds .

They should have had a woman interview him. He would have responded better. You can see he’s not in good health and some warmth and caring nature would have gone along ways.

Ariel Winters' wardrobe in this movie was ridiculous.
Whoever thought keeping Ariel Winter in that skimpy skirt
for the entire movie was a good idea, should be horsewhipped.

He is 82 yrs old. And has had a ton of experiences in his life, it's hard to stay on track because you want to share so many, or maybe unsure what memory will please the audience the most? Have you not ever gone down memory lane & gotten side tracked by another memory mid stream? I know I have & I'm a lot younger than Burt is here. Again...82 yrs old in this interview. Need we really say more?

I think it was more down to modern interviewers largely being dumped down and not understanding subtle humour. Mr Reynolds was still sharp and witty.
