I was there in 1992 as a 5 year old. And I can’t tell you how much this show meant to so many in my generation who watched this on Saturday mornings. This show and the comic series that the show follows to me will always be the definitive interpretation of these characters. Crossed fingers that this show carries on the proud torch that this show created 30 years ago. Proud to be with you 90’s babies to get to see this come true.
I was born in '92 when this show (and Batman: The Animated Series) first aired
For me it started with the Pizza Hut tapes

My seven year old heard the theme song and started dancing. EVERYONE loves that theme song.
Xavier's will is found by Magneto in the exact same place it was said to be in the comics. That's serious attention to detail!
That means they still doing what the old crew of the 90s series did, adapt the comics with some changes here and there.
In the comics, Xavier was taken by Lilandra when Magneto already went to trial, in here as with the 90s cartoon, the trial occurs after Xavier leaves.
Thank the writer and show runner, Beau DeMayo for the attention to detail; he was just unceremoniously fired the week before the show launches, and the entire project was his design.

Notice that some of the frames used in the years going backwards montage, are frames from some of the Fox x-men movies

I remember getting a VHS tape at a Pizza Hut with the first two episodes of the original series and was instantly hooked. This is crazy that 30 years later they are continuing the saga. ❤

@@TheLegendryZelda yeah it ended with a cliffhanger in the fifth/final season where Madame Web and Spider-Man/Peter Parker went through a portal to go search for his lost love, Mary Jane Watson who disappeared in another dimension/universe.

Bro I am genuinely so excited for this show!!! The animation looks beautiful, most of the OG voice actors are back, and Jean Grey looks like she’s actually powerful in this one instead of passing out every second lol

They brought back the old voices!!! That makes me so freaking happy, they really embodied the characters
Not all of them though.
Only Wolverine, Storm, Rogue, Beast, Nightcrawler and Mr. Sinister.
The rest of VAs are spreaded into voicing other characters (Gambit's VA is now voicing Cable, Morph's VA as President Robert Kelly, Jean's VA as Valerie Cooper, etc), the only justified recasts were to Cyclops and Magneto as their VAs passed away in 2020.
@@uncannydcmarvelous5732 unfortunate news to hear about the original cyclops and magneto, honestly all of them were iconic, but I'm grateful for what we're getting, hopefully the newer cast sounds similar

Here in Brazil, unfortunely most of the original cast or retired from voice acting or passed away, but the new voices are spot on.

It’s the only thing in this show that’s going to make you happy
I'm nearly 40 now and I had goosebumps. X-Men TAS was such a breath of fresh air as a kid, not only tackling important issues but it had complicated characters and real relationships, and it never felt like it was talking down to us. It was great to see a rare kids show that clearly said "hey, we know you're smart enough to handle this". The finale still makes me cry every time I watch it, even very recently. What a timeless show.
Rogue is my favorite. I'm so glad she has the same outfit and same voice. When she said "heads up" I freaked out. I've liked all the interpretations of Rogue but this is the best version of the character.
I really want this show to be good.
I would love a HD or 4k remaster of the original series.
But not Anime one like this new series

I didn't grow up with The X-Men Animated Series, But I do Love The X-Men Movies and just The X-Men in General So I'm Excited For This!!!

Disney just signed a new deal with Sony for DVD manufacturing so yeah. DVDs coming. :D

I’m not a huge x-men girlie (more of a justice league gal) but I was born in 97 and I love Storm so I am 100 percent watching this.

Ever since the films and then the evolution series, Rogue was portrayed as a sad mutant which I never imagined her to be!!
Yeah Evolution turned her more goth but it kind of made sense for a girl who wasn't allowed to touch anyone. But it was kind of over the top. lol I prefer the flirty Rogue because she can basically lure any fool into her trap and knock them out.

@@gerstelb She's back, but playing a different character. My guess is that her voice has changed so much over the decades that she doesn't sound like Jean anymore, just like Cal Dodd (Wolverine) sounds completely different.

My childhood dreams came true!!!!! I remember taping X-men on vhs tapes from fox kids in the 90's. I was so sad when the show ended. Now, all these years later it is coming back! X-men will always have a close part in my heart! I am so excited! Let's go!!!!!
I got a few of the later episodes from Fox Family on recorded VHS tapes, mostly from when they fought Apocalypse. But I also got all the early stuff i've been collecting on the official tapes with the cool comic book covers that used to sell at places like Toys R US
my favorite show, not just cartoon, when I was a kid and started watching it in middle school. To this day, I will watch the new episodes proudly. that's how much I loved watching it Saturday mornings

My goodness! Episode 5 is Game of Thrones level writing! I have full confidence in the storytelling. Not just as a ‘90’s kid, but as an adult X-Men fan.

I've been rewatching the Original Series in anticipation for the show and I'm incredibly excited to see this story for the X-Men continue! I've been really enjoying going back I'm watching the 90s series and honestly I can tell this is going to be a very special revival series! I'm glad Marvel is already working on season 2! I hope the MCU does more stuff like this in the future!

@@nothx512 I remember the big sagas like the Phoenix Saga and the two episode Days of Future Past event mostly but it's been years since I watched a lot of the rest of the show so I decided watch the whole show in one Mega sitting throughout the course of 2 weeks to get ready for this.

That's not Cyclops' original voice actor, he passed away a while back. That's how good the new guy is. He sounds EXACTLY like the old Cyclops!
Why was the creator fired before the show aired? That’s what I would like to know.
No information yet, but it will probably come out soon. It probably isn’t related to the cuts Marvel has been making. Given that they fired him so suddenly, not to mention weeks before his show debuted, he probably did something pretty bad.
Edit: Some people say he had an account on an adult site, others are citing his bad attitude when working on The Witcher as an indicator of the issues Marvel had with him.

It’s confusing, but Marvel will probably make a statement. It’s a pretty big deal for them.

I just met Chris Claremont at Planet Comicon In Kansas City, it was awesome and he was a real nice dude. I got a lot of my uncanny x men comics signed by him and I can’t wait to watch this animation.
Yeah you can tell he actually gave a crap about storytelling in the comics when he worked on them.

X men was the first ever cartoon I remember watching, I must have been 5 or something. And now here I am at 34 with tears in my eyes!
I was there when the original series first aired on Fox Kids in October 31, 1992.
It was a long time ago, long before Saban Entertainment introduced us to the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, it was then Winston Richard long before he became Supervising Producer in the first Season worked as Executive Producer alongside Avi Arad, Stan Lee and Rick Ungar.
We had Batman and X-Men pretty much premiere on Fox Kids back to back in the same year within weeks of each other. Pretty awesome and X-Men premiered on Halloween!

Ever since I was a kid in the early-2000s, enjoying 'X-Men' reruns, around the same time as enjoying 'X-Men: Evolution', I and my brother sang the names of the X-Men as their names popped up in the intro. When Jubilee appeared, I went with the tune of the music: (high-pitched) 🎶JuuubiLEEEEE🎵. Excited to do that again for new episodes.
I was reading about how Disney paid A TON to get the theme song for Multiverse of Madness and how it still would have been a steal at TWICE the price!

No. Absolutely not. Not now. Especially with the present situation of the games industry basically collapsing on itself due to the ESG funding drying up and the companies that relied on it are desperately struggling to keep relevant, hence why the “gamergate 2” stupidity going on.
I would love for that to happen too, a retro x-men game would be great; but NOT NOW. It’s just not the right time for it.
Its taken all these years a lot of us 90s kids are all grown up now but we're still here.
