It becomes impossible to find anything that is collectible when the clerks at the stores are collectors or resellers and pull shuffled out of cases before they hit the pegs…. I’m sure I’m not the only one who has experienced this
I honestly think store employees are 95% of the problem with this hobby.

@@Perceptionisreal i made a commitment to myself if I were to find one or two of the same basic or even super one is good enough for me I’ll leave an extra or two behind for another person haven’t been able to do that for a long time with STHs but the occasional duplicate basic TH I’ll take one and leave the rest for others it’s just a curtious thing to do in my mind gives others the ability to at least find something
You have to pick the store where nobody who works there cares about hot wheels. Few and far between but they exist.
For months I was so confused by a new box being out and not finding anything good to only find out that someone in the store collected them
I say, buy what you like and forget about the return. Enjoy the hobby
That has been My Philosophy I am new to the Hobbies started about 2 months ago and only have about 200 Cars and it's so hard to find Super Treasure Hunts I haven't even gotten one yet but I did get two treasure hunts regular one

You helped me find my first super treasure hunt. It was the 81 camaro. Another small tip for those interested. I find that collecting hot wheels that are widely known and popular like bone shaker for example, or one of the deoras, even if only a reprint can sometimes also bring a profit. Not every reprint is a hit but some of them are worth picking up

Personally I still love collecting the 99¢ cars. I just love the real model vehicles in general.

Lol. I've been collecting for years, in fact I have a sth Pagani huayra roadster among other rare cars. I always find it funny when I find a fellow collector. Happy hunting!
I started collecting hot wheels in 1994 to about 2001,2002. I literally had to stop because eventually...it WILL consume your life! My oldest son was born in 93 and I thought it would be something interesting to start collecting for him. Fast forward about 8,9 years, I was completely nuts with trying to find cars I didn't have! I own about 35 cases of loose hot wheels and about 1200 unopened hot wheels including first addition treasure hunts. To all you collectors out there, know when to reel it in coz eventually it will take over your life!
Well depends how u control urself I started collecting lots of things like hot wheels,card games,balls,etc but I collect them if I ever run out of money or need it for an emergency that’ll be my backup to resell

Me neither,it was at Kroger and I had searched for months and unexpectedly I found my 1st STH (the blue miata),i literally started shaking out of excitement of finally finding one,I was literally more hooked at that point on,i was into the hunting from there. For those that are hunting for their 1st sth an keep striking out,keep looking cos you will find one when you least expect it,good luck to all and happy collecting.

Good luck I've been looking for years and finally found a treasure hunt, I don't waste my time anymore unless you have it in with the stores or the stockers you'll be lucky to find anymore, the gas and time I waste looking for these cars doesn't make sense I buy mine on eBay, I'm coming out ahead in the long run

Dont even have to pay that much attention just go to halls guide the the #out of 250 for the th and just scan the numbers on the side it takes me like 5 min to go through an entire shelf

I have just started collecting. I already found some error cars... one Batmobile without paint and one where the card is a Koneigsegg and the car inside is a Ford Focus. Also found my first three Treasure hunt cars. This is fun!
Good job! The Koneigsegg Ford Focus error will be worth a lot if its not fake. Some people buy cars and open them just to swap it and return it. I don't think any employee would be dumb enough to take it though.. its kinda obvious.
@@acediecast8670 YEah I looked carefully. Still sealed all around and no sign of tampering. It was lying in a bin way down in the stack. Wondering about the Batmobile too. Complete car but bare metal.

I watched a few HW videos yesterday but after seeing this vid i decided I'm going to give collecting a shot.
So my dad was in Queensland and he stumbled upon 4 treasure hunts and to this day he regrets only getting one but the one he got was an error car the error being it was not bolted together at the factory lol still one of our best finds to this day

name like bugatti, lambo or mclaren are not selling in Malaysia(well,some is) but you get the idea. It's always about Nissan or Honda 🤣🤣🤣

The set's are nice, and I can display with my large collection of NASCAR 1:64, 1:32, 1:24 & 1:18 scale cars. I have quite a few Hot Wheels 1:64 NASCAR cars...and 1 or 2 Hot Wheels 1:24 scale. I have a few this from pre-pandemic, but in my local Wal-Mart and Target, the stores have next to nothing on their pegs.

Yes. Ferrari especially is a rare hot wheel since they stopped making them.

We normal collectors can’t hunt for STH or TH or cool cars because every new packages arrived, the store owner opened and took all of them and resell with a high price :(( , and yes, every single store in our area

I got my first th the other day and i was so lucky lol. there was like 2-3 other kids looking through the box but i got a th.
The rarest cars I have are a Yellow Ferrari 599GTB with no year label, the gold River Box from an old mystery pack series and a hand full of original but heavily used 1970’s cars such as a 1930 Bugatti..

@@gman9297 They all should be worth a decent amount. Especially the Bugatti and Ferrari. I don’t know the exact prices on older cars like those.

Nah man, i’ve been collecting since 2018, i go to couple different stores every couple days to see their stock and YET i’ve still found NONE of the STH hotwheels. Either its the employees or i just have very bad luck meaning that i cant get any. Makes me cry to be fair😭
I opened 30 cases last yer.... still 0 supers for me. The dollar trees that we found 4 cases at are amazing (old video). I call the manager and see when the trucks come or when they finished unloading and I can sometimes get fresh cases.
