Oh man this is SO useful. As a Canadian hw collector that watches tip videos from American collectors, I was so confused about the cases for so long. Thank you!!
WOW! talk about getting technical I've been collecting Hot Wheels for the longest time and I never understood what those numbers meant but this video was a real eye opener Thank you so much now I'm going to look at all 1,394 of my cars to look at the numbers 😆 lol really great video bro when it comes to hobbies never stop learning👍⭐🤖
Thank you for the this! Very helpful! I assumed the cases were released in alphabetical order but wasn’t for sure so I appreciate you clearing that up! I just started collecting last month and am already on the hunt for treasures. Zero luck so far but it’s still fun.
Very helpful video, I learned many new things. I'm just a newbie Hotwheels collector, well I used to buy Hotwheels in maybe around 2015 or even lower, its so disappointing and sad though that I lost many old Hotwheels, only some are left behind and there could possibly be some hidden in our house, some are given to strangers, some are trashed by my Father since he hates me playing with toys or buying them. I can't really do much in those times as I'm still young, I'm 13 by now and turning 14 this year. I still continue collecting Hotwheels even in the middle of pandemic, I usually buy 1 and sometimes 2 if I liked them. I'm using the allowance of my Father, he didn't know I was doing this though. If he ever knew this, surely I'm dead. Anyways, great video and you got a like from me :)
This is awesome! I’m very new to this and recently found my sealed cards from about 15-17 years ago. I’m interested to look into them more with this knowledge. Very cool video thank you!
WOW! Thanks For The Info!! I'm Currently Going Through My Son's Hot Wheels from the 80's to Present. Its #5, 5-Gallon Totes, of New In Package & Loose Hot Wheels filled to the Top of each Tote, also includes Hot Wheels Tracks & Playsets & Cases, New & Used. Now trying to Put them On eBay!!
Wow that’s awesome! Hope you find some good stuff. Ps. If you feel so obligated to give me one of the valuable ones because I helped you find them I will gladly except😃😃 😂 jkjk
I probably have tons more and I seem to have more from before 2008. I have one car that says D50 on it but the car has no name, 2 different hotwheels logos (1990s one and the current one), has mattel 1969 on it and it has some 80s lookin wheels on it A27 - ‘71 Plymouth GTX A35 - covelight A42 - nitro scorcher A49 - mega duty (colour changing one) A52- 1957 chevy (colour changing)
I have lots of 🔥 wheels without the date method since some of mine are from 90s. I did find a B 17 in my pile since I have a gap in collections from my 10 yr olds son collections and my now 2 yr olds son..but have acouple of messed up ones that belong to my 30 yr old son..am just glad I kept some!
Such a helpful video. So, what letters would be present before 2008? or do they state the year. In the matter of case letters, like H case, what is the reasoning or purpose of this? Thanks mate.
New collector... found my very first treasure hunt car the other day at Walmart. Was so excited. Also found two error card cars (wrong car in the card).
Wow amazing I have been finding a video like this you explaned all things appreciate a lot. And I subscribed you cause your videos are brilliant!!😃I am out from US but I usually get international cards that have " it's not the same without the flame" Pls explain it 😉
thanks for the information and pls try to come up with the next two versions of cards. that is now u we're talking about blue card the base version. next with the coloured version and the third with rubber tyres. hope u understood. i don't know how to explain more than this. pls
This was of GREAT help my friend! One last question that I don't seem to find the answer 🤔😕 for. *** What month of the year do the boxes 📦 become available? Some channels say Sep/ Oct of the previous year, some say Jan/Feb of the present year. I'm confused 😕
Hi Why are the international long cards not guaranteed for life? Also what do the 2 numbers and letter mean in front of the G? Do the last two letters ever indicate whether there will be a TH or super TH in the box? Thanks so much for your time.
@Yachtls The "I" and "O" are omitted from the case letter coding process for what seem like avoiding mixups between capital letter "I" and number "1" and also capital letter "O" and number "0" My question is related to this. When you went over the 3 digit stamped code on the bottom of the cars, beginning in 2008, the chart that you put on the screen omitted the letter "I" just as the cases are marked. Is that how Hot Wheels/Mattel does this also or was this a possible mistake because of being used to not usually factoring the letters "I" and "O" into the Hot Wheels equation? Yours went from H--2015 (NO "I") to J--2016. And to continue with where your chart stopped would it skip the letter "O" and go from N--2020 (NO "O") to P--2021, and so on? I apologize if this question has already been asked and answered by you or anyone else. Thank you sir!
My question is about hotwheels 50th anniversary Disney movie cars. The 2 numbers printed on the front of the card on the right bottom are differnt when it's the same car. Like 2 snow white cars on the card are 2 differnt numbers?
I have a 2011 Muscle Mania 11 69' Dodge Coronet Super Bee that has the L2593 above the UPC, but does not say "guaranteed for life" anywhere on the card. This car was a Target exclusive that includes 2 "car bands", a blue rubber band and a red rubber band that are underneath the car in the blister and used to propel the car in some way. So why the difference in packaging if this is a USA only version? Maybe something to do with the included car bands? I am not a collector but for some reason (probably because it's a kick ass Mopar) I purchased this car and never opened it.
I have a question. As a Canadian, I can’t tell what case the car is from by the back of the card, since I’m international, so, how can I find the box that tells what case it is in stores like.. Walmart ?
Where can I get the information, which car is assigned to which letter? So in which "case" do I will find my favourite hot wheel, for example the "Hot Wired" for 2022? Thanks for helping.
thanks for the info i’m newbie here.. my question is i found a 94 Audi Avant RS2 was listed to Super treasure hunt and has 10/10 so guys is always ok to collect them all if there is in one store we see?
Okay so my hotwheels card has Asst. BFM60 and says proof of purchase with no other number also at the top where the hook is it says BFM70-K912(G1) -with 1L right below the BFM70- as far as I paid attention you didn’t mention anything about these please help also is it good for my car to have M01 underneath
@ojasraman I don't know about historically but currently Hot Wheels are being made in a quantity of 250 per set, per year. In your example, the 155/250 would mean that the 155 is Hot Wheels car #155 of the total set of 250 cars for whatever year and set that car is a part of. Does that make sense?
I have a Delorian Hover Mode that is 108/250. On bottom of car is Made in Malaysia Copywrite 2015 with numbers 1186 MJ, 1, NL. On back of card is FYC50-D9C0E and E8M8U. I can't figure out the year it was made, can you help?
I believe they skip I and O cases because the I resembles a one (1) and the O resembles a zero (0) but I could be wrong.
This would be correct
Very interesting thank you for that!
that's right
Exactly what I was going to say
Yes
As a hotwheels newbies, I really appreciate this video. Thank you!
I am a hot wheels newbie too 🥰

Interesting, I’ve found that I’ve got two USA only long card cars, but I live in Australia and bought them both in Australia.
You bought them from best & less? They get US cases
Hi Adam, I just start collecting hot wheels today and only bought 1 car. Just wondering where do you buy hot wheels in Australia? Please
@@MrAlvincheryl big w, Kmart, coles, Woolies, drakes, foodland, target. And I’m sure there’s other places depending where in aus you live

This is awesome! I’m very new to this and recently found my sealed cards from about 15-17 years ago. I’m interested to look into them more with this knowledge. Very cool video thank you!
I bought a bunch of 1996 cars. No TH but still pretty cool. They called them first editions.
Great video! Very insightful.
Thank you, new to the hobby and was wondering🤙🏾😎

To be honest I am not to sure how you are achieving these cars🤷🏼🤷🏼
@@Sam_Dunn you mean the cards that have " without the flame" quote?? International cards don't have it??
Thanks for the info 🏎️
you explained this so well thank you
No problem! Glad u gleaned some knowledge
Awesome, thanks for sharing 👍
Thank you for explaining this
Thank you for the knowledge!! What about the different paint scheme and the special ones? Are they marked differently?
great explanation wd
Thanks for this. The only "A" I could find is a "So Fine" flat black lowrider in a short card, A34.
I happened to find a A52 on a Thailand high voltage car
I think they skipped I and O because it was to similar to 1 and 0 , i think. Also great vid man
now i know why i found 2023 A case and only found a M on the top back. I'm Dutch so yeah, international cases. Thanks man 🤷
Love this
Thanks for the info. I've ordered a case with 97AP. What time / year is this? 🤔😊

Your video helped me to identify why my green HW Toyota Supra is costed so much.
informative, thank you!

This was of GREAT help my friend!
One last question that I don't seem to find the answer 🤔😕 for.
*** What month of the year do the boxes 📦 become available?
Some channels say Sep/ Oct of the previous year, some say Jan/Feb of the present year. I'm confused 😕
It differs I believe! Like each year it could be different. So I am sorry I don’t fully know that one!
Well done!
Thank you for that info.
Awesome this helped ton . ..10 likes 👍
THANKS G!!
Hi

Some precious info here. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Now let's HUNT.
I have a 2011 Muscle Mania 11 69' Dodge Coronet Super Bee that has the L2593 above the UPC, but does not say "guaranteed for life" anywhere on the card. YESSSS THSNK YOU!!!
What does the pressed date mean on the card singles? ie 04-22
Thank you so much!!! but how can I distinguish between a 2020 and 2021 box? which is the carracter to be sure it is a G 2021 and not a G 2020 box?
Well the 2020 cards do not have the plastic on the top back of the cards, while the 2021 cards do. And 2022 has a whole different card design coming.
I have a question. As a Canadian, I can’t tell what case the car is from by the back of the card, since I’m international, so, how can I find the box that tells what case it is in stores like.. Walmart ?
Great Video. . .its too bad that international cards don't state cases they come from
Do you know why the uk used to have long cards (the better ones)but have switched to short cards?
They don't put in the I because it looks like a one they don't put in the O because it looks like a zero! Keep doing what you do have a good day
Where can I get the information, which car is assigned to which letter? So in which "case" do I will find my favourite hot wheel, for example the "Hot Wired" for 2022?
Thanks for helping.
Ty!!
Ofc!
On the little number on the back I got HDG52 what does that mean?
thanks for the info i’m newbie here.. my question is i found a 94 Audi Avant RS2 was listed to Super treasure hunt and has 10/10 so guys is always ok to collect them all if there is in one store we see?
Of course
I've seen a U case; I think it had store exclusives in it.
Cool thanx
Okay so my hotwheels card has Asst. What about the Deutschland design ones also have some old hw with no code on it at all
What do you mean by the quote printed on the right hand top corner of the pack ("155/250") at 03:56
@ojasraman I don't know about historically but currently Hot Wheels are being made in a quantity of 250 per set, per year. In your example, the 155/250 would mean that the 155 is Hot Wheels car #155 of the total set of 250 cars for whatever year and set that car is a part of. Does that make sense?
So will they ship the cases from the end of one year as well as shipping cases from the new year, at the same time?
What exactly do the 2 letter on the far right of the box, above the bar code, represent. How can we tell what cars are in the case?
Hi, I have a 85 Chevrolet Camaro Iroc-Z and it says *P 1 1* on the bottom. What does the P mean? Is it normal?
I’m pretty sure the reason they skip “I” and “O” is so that they don’t get confused as a number
Where do you buy your sealed cases?
I have a hot wheels battle force 5 saber and zelix car they don't have any base code so is it fake ?
I don't have a A01 but I have a L01 and I also have a 1970 Road Runner (50th anniversary) which has 617. Can you please explain me why it says 617?
are they dropped every month on the first ? i know i’m little late to the upload but i’ve been wondering is it based on each month?
I don’t think it’s each month on the dot. It’s kind of sporadic!!
Спасибо
I seen a corvette with black p11 on bottom what’s that about?
