- In this video you will learn how to send an email to Responder when response is submitted in Microsoft Forms.
You can create power automate flow to send email to responder when they submit a response. Microsoft Power automate already provided a template to achieve this. This demo will use the ready made template and configure it to send email to the response once the response is submitted.

Thanks for the content 💓 it is very helpful
My pleasure 😊
Thank you for sharing, This is great! Is there a way to attach the document as well that was uploaded by respondent?
Yes you can attach document to MS forms and process them via flow.
Hello, Do you have a video that shows you how to create a flow to send emails to people outside your organisation from the form? I have included an email response option in the form for this. A video showing how to fill in the options for the 'If No' section would be great! Thank you in advance
You have to use email field in the form if email need to be sent outside organisation. People outside teh organisation fill the form as anonymous
Hi Emily, did you ever found if it's possible?
Good Day! Like Jennifer I have a public form that gets sent to mulitple people outside of my orgainization. In this form I ask for thier email address and its a 'required' field. Knowing this can I use 'Power Automate' to issue an automatic email response sent to the email the user enters?
Hi Jason, Yes, If you are getting email in the form, you should be able to get it in the power automate flow response detail and can send email to the submitter email address.
@@KeaPointTechTips Hi! I have the same question as above. My form has an email address field. So how would we do the condition to pull the email address
@@KeaPointTechTips Hi! I have the same qn too, would be great if you could assist :)
Hi, thanks so much for this video tutorial. Is there a way the email notification sent to responder will show as being sent from Microsoft Form and not via our own email (form owner)?
Yes, you can change the connection of email action in power automate . You can use a service account instead of your own.
@@KeaPointTechTips thank you for the prompt response! For the service account, does this refer to a shared mailbox? Is there a way the email notif will be sent from generic Microsoft Form instead of our shared mailbox as well?
hi is there a way to send an email to the respondent outside of the organization and attach pdf files in that email?
Hi was excited to see that you have a video, however, all my forms are public as I need members of the public to respond -the forms are used to book trainings, is there a way that I can have the auto email to go back to those who have booked their place, even when the form is set to ANYONE CAN RESPOND?
Hi Jennifer, I am afraid this not possible for users outside the organisation. The only way is to add email address column in the form itself. Otherwise Microsoft form won't know who the user is.
@@KeaPointTechTips and how do you go from there?
I do in fact have a field where they add their e-mail.. and usually use to send a resume of the answers
What if I want to send the email to the Form owner dynamically as well(The person who created the form)?
You can inject another email action in flow to send it to anyone when a response is submitted. You can even post message to MS teams when someone submits a response.
I have an form where I want people outside of my organization to receive an email confirmation, how am I able to do that? Because I have a field in my form where people can write their email.
Great video,
What if my form was created from the sharepoint app, meaning that the form is not "Mine", and therefor not on my list of forms?
How do I get it to work then?
I didn't get it.
How do I send automated email to any user that fills my form? I don't want to limit it to only those in my organization.
unless they provide an email while filling teh form, you can not.
Thanks for your response. I sorted this out.
Is it possible to send back resume of the answers to responder in that email?
Yes, you can collect from submission data in the flow and add it to the email message and send to the responder.
Do you have a email to file all the pdf responses?
If the form submission is set for internal use only (within the organisation) then every submitter will have an email address. .
Hi thanks for the video, is there a way to attach a file to the email?
You are welcome. Yes possible, you can add attachment control to the MS Form and save it temporarily to SharePoint or OneDrive, so that the Power Automate flow can pick it up and attach it to the email.
i didin't get the email
Must be an issue with your configuration.
same. I followed the steps, making sure it is for organizational people only. Input says "false" and the response looks anonymous.
