Thanks for such a well-organized, clear and informative video! You shown me a tool I had honestly forgotten about. Now I'm ready to take my use of forms back to the office. I'm excited to use these tips!
Love this!!!!!! Super helpful summary for our upcoming MIE training session over the weekend!! Keep up the fantastic work you and your team are doing!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Gs was helpful. Hope your summit goes well!
This is awesome - going to make keeping all parts of an assignment/school work in the same place
I cannot begin to express how excited I was to find this. I sat through a really sad demonstration today - being kind. I was so frustrated after it. Then I did a quick search and found this! Wow!!!!!!
The quiz Math input feature my favourite. Thank u so much for this in-depth educational video.
Oh no, I cant believe you covered an entire course for just a couple of minutes!!!! This is marvelous!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!!
This was super informative. I got a ton of tips to use with my classes. Fav tip of all was number 25. Being able to view a video and check on comprehension at the same time is brilliant! :)
Glad it was helpful
Great video Mike. Thank you for these great tips! Sincerely appreciated.

Thanks! Glad these are helpful
Very informative. Thank you for sharing.
Great video - particularly appreciate that you took the time to add a table of contents so I could skip to the tips new to me: thanks!
Awesome, thank you!
Super Tips on Forms! Thanks a lot Mike, many are going to be very useful to me in my work! 😊👍
Great, glad to hear that!
great video, didn't answer my question, but gave me some great ideas. Thx a lot.
Thanks Mike, such a helpful video! Do you know if polls/surveys can be auto scheduled? For example, if I run a weekly group (same time each week) and am looking for weekly feedback post group? Thanks for your help.
Tip 21 was great! Sometimes I forget to look for cross-app features.
That was beneficial!
Thank you 🙏🏻
Very helpful! Thank you for creating such a great material!
Great video! Hoping you can answer this question. I created a question with options for the answer (class name). I want to sort them in alphabetical order. I did not see this option but was able to manually reorder the options using the dots on the left. Do you know if there is a way to automatically sort them alphabetically rather than having to move them manually? Thank you!
Excellent film. Widely informative and told concisely. This is must-watch recommendation, as I try to explain the benefits of M365 to a cautious, recently introduced workforce. Thank you Mike.
Thanks so much.
Lots of great information here!
Quick (or perhaps not so quick question): If I've created a Forms quiz/survey, how can I upload that into a specific Teams meeting in real time when I'm conducting a meeting/lecture/workshop?
superhelpful video! Thanks a lot 👍
This video is very helpful. Thanks
for sharing
Thanks. MS needs to add signature option on the forms.
Great overview, Mike. I'm curious to know if there is a feature that allows me to embed a link into a question.
Love this chocfull of tips . I just shared this with my colleagues at work, I'm sure they'll be delighted too
Great, thanks for sharing!

Excellent video !!!!
MIke, AWESOME tutorial on MS Forms!!!
Glad you like it!
Such as great video, thank you! Got some great tips for my form.
So glad!
Hi Mike, thanks for the great video. Are there any plans to be able to add pre-prepared forms into the chat in Teams? When teaching it would be much easier if we could pre-prepare our polls and quizzes rather than trying to type this as we teach.
Setting a pre-made quiz / form as an assignment is a workaround for this.
Hi Mike, thanks for the tips and trick,
I was wondering whether is it possible to make the form as a template? so I am able to use or copy the same template in a different teams channel. thank you very much. looking forward to hearing from you
Very helpful. thanks a lot. :)
Wow flipping awesome!😯 I have been using MS Forms now and I learnt A LOT! Thanks!

"May the Forms be with you" 🔮
thanks for your help mike!
Thanks for the tips. Very helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
Amazing video! So excited to use this. I had 3 questions as a noob to all this.
🚴♂️1. If you had a question about distance can you add a drop down box to let the user select units next to their answer (ie mm, inches metres, feet, miles, km etc ?)
👨👩👧👦 2. Can you add data validation to an answer ie between 10 and 60 is allowed and flash up a warning if outside the limits?
🚦3. Can you set a formula based on answers in forms to take the responder to most relevant next question (or end the form) based on where the answer falls in a range of figures.
For instance the responder types in their actual age and if its between 10-17 end form, if aged 18-35 goto q4, if aged 36 to 60 goto q5 etc?
Great questions. Those are currently not supported but you can go to uservoice to add them or vote: microsoftforms.uservoice.com
Great video and really helpful Mike. When you showed uploading a file can that Form be shared with people outside the organization to upload a file? Also, is there any way to verify data in a form? For example, what if you want to verify an email address by a user entering it twice?
It’s very informative thank you
It's very helpful and great video, thank you! I have one question, can we change the type of chart bar in my responses?
Hi Mike
Thanks for this helpful video. Do you know a way to have a multiple answers table in the form? Like a Likert with more than one answer per line.
Thanks
Great video Mike, thanks so much! Just one question. If I created a form within an excel file for someone else and I want to share it, should I send the excel file or the form as template? I want the person to have the form and be able to the see information in real time in excel. Thanks
Great video! I was wondering if you knew if there are any plans to offer the capability of creating signup sheets in forms? For example if I have 4 essay topics and 60 students and I’d like to have them sign up to choose their essay topic, but only allow a max of 20 students per topic. I can do this in Google forms by downloading an add on, but my institution uses office 365 now, so I’d like to use ms forms if at all possible.
Hi Mike
this was really helpful, really appreciate what I have learned from this video.
I can't find it on my online 365 excel integration with forms. when I go to Insert I can't find the Forms option, do you know why that can happen?
thanks again
It would be great if Microsoft Forms offered the users the option to create folders in order to classify and organize all our questionnaires. Thanks for the video...!
That's a great idea! The team is actively working on adding Forms organization
this is amazing
Thank you! I learned a lot! I really love the tip about inserting forms in Stream video! One of courses I teach is Geometry and it would be nice to see more math symbols added to Forms. Also, will we be able to attach a picture as one of the responses in a multiple choice? Thank you for all that you do to make online learning interactive and meaningful! Also will we be able embed Geogebra in OneNote for Windows app? Thank you!
Does Geogebra currently not work in the OneNote Windows 10 app? It should embed fine...
Mike Tholfsen I had old info. Thank you! I just checked my OneNote app and the the link is embedded.
Great video thank you. Is it possible to create a form that students can complete in 2 stages, I'm thinking of a learning plan. Thank you
Hi Mike, great tips! I have to create a voting form but want to limit the number of votes people can submit, is that possible? So for example I have 10 nominations but employees can only select 3. At the moment I am unable to restrict this, so I have to go through the submissions manually to make sure employees are not voting more than 3 or 4 times. thanks!
Super cool video Mike! Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Thank you for this video.
Thank you so much! It is very helpful. How do I change to multiple answers on the liked the table questions type? I like to get multiple answers on liked questions type. There is only an option for multiple answers just for choice questions.
Excellent informative tutorial!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hey, This's a definitive guide on Office Forms. But nowhere you've shown how to collect the email address without filling manually! Ideally this should be the most important feature to collect responses from the users.
Great tips, thanks. #22 didn't work for me though. I created the question and all it did was show me a preview of what the form would look like. It never appeared in the channel when l sent it though...😟
Does it only work in the General channel? It would be useful to use in individual subject channels...
Super helpful - Thank you!! Can you share the platform you used to create this training? I love the zoom feature to demo the screen action. Thank you Mike.
I use Camtasia
great video, one question
i want to collect family details (relationship and name of each member) of all employees in my organisation. That is if an employee choose "Father" from the drop down list, Forms should redirect to question "Father name" only, if both Father and Mother is chosen, route to only those two and so on.
Can this be enabled in Forms?
thanks Mike, such a helpful video
Glad it was helpful!
What a good video, I have a concern for a problem that I have, I need that when a user has already filled out the form the message that appears is "Your response has already been sent, This form only admits one response per person." My question is if this information can be customized so that a link to another page appears
Hi, I added a Choice question using colours as the first word to describe a level of difficulty. For the results on the responses tab, I want it to show the matching colour to the rating (Red, Green, Blue, Amber, Black). I would like these colours to show in the Pie Chart to depicting the percentage of respondents for each colour. Any ideas on how this might be achieved? Note, after I put the colour I add a dash and further explain it's intent. For instance, Black - difficult terrain.
Thanks. Is is possible to have a form preload/fill data from the previous entry?
Thankyou so much
Hi can we get some fields updated automatically in forms from excel, so that there won't be Toggling between excel and forms. For example, if I am taking customer survey, I want to get customer details like customer name, etc available in excel, once updating customer mobile number Or ID.
Thanks for all the advice 👍! In tips number 8 ( upload a file) I haven't this option in my Forms.. Could you explain why?
very helpful .. thanks.
You're welcome!
Thanks Mike, very helpful 👍
BTW, to show I was paying attention in class, I doubt you'll get any takers for "Buger" Heaven as a lunch venue! 🤢😄
Terimakasih informasi barunya
Great! I have a question: how to add date into Customize thank you message?
hi Mike, thank you for your videos, please do you know how can I restrict an answer. if i want to offer 3 options but each one has a limited capacity, is it possible? ideally, once one option is full its should disappear. thank you
This is a great video - thanks Mike. However, I'd like to know how someone can print their completed form after/just before submitting it. If I do Ctrl+P at the end, to create a pdf, it just creates one page. Is it possible to save the whole of the completed form as a pdf please.
Simon
Great tips! I like the tip on inserting form in excel to get real time updates. Is there a way to do that in reverse? To have an existing form and have it integrated in excel, not via download the response in excel.
That is possible in Excel web
Great video - thank you! Is there any way to tighten up the spacing? We are making a form where we have to enter a persons name and address and the form gets really long when there is a line devoted to things like state/prov, Untit #, phone # when normally these would all be in one row on a form.
Not that I am aware of
Mike -- do you know how to put automatic limit numbers of responses?
Thanks for sharing. I have an issue when using the Likert Scale, i.e. I have a long list of statements (>10), so the Statements are not visible when one scrolls down. How does one correct this?
Great tips. Already started using it. Very intuitive. Question: Is there a way to brand the form. Specifically, what are the specs for the header image? Can RGB values be selected for the header color? How about adding an image to the bottom? Great product and quite powerful for collaboration.
Unfortunately that is not currently supported
Thanks for sharing
Sure, hope it was helpful!
Tks a lot,
It's possible to pre filled this form? tks
Really enjoyed this! Question for you - can I have the form be the last thing they see, without having to go back to the video? Thanks
Hi Mike, Is there a way so when ever someone creates a new form it will always have a default paragraph at top. We use office365 at work and want to put like a privacy statement at the top of it. I can obviously add that as a header, but if i create a new form you have to re-add it.
Thank you! Is MS Forms a separate purchase from Office 365? I don't see it as an option on the plan comparison page. Chat support doesn't seem to be working.
Hi! Mike, can you please let me know how to return the uploaded document after assessing, please.
@MikeTholson Is there a way to use Forms as away for internal requisition of items and services?
Great stuff. For translation, will it in future translate the questions and possible answers? Also, translation of responses in other languages?
Yup. All possible with Immersive Reader
Quick question. Is there a way of creating a form with multiple sections, all to be completed and feedback given at different times, rather than having to complete the whole form? For example if I wanted someone to fill in a different section of the form each week and receive continuous feedback each week? Or would I simply have to create a form for each week?
Question - I have a large drop down that i want to branch without putting the branch into each dropdown option - is there a way to get all the dropdowns in one question to branch to another question without entering it multiple times?
Hi Thanks for this video very helpful.
I have a situation i want to redirect a user again to first question once he/she submits the response. Scenario is user can submit it multiple times.
These are GREAT! BUT... I do have a question. I am creating a form to pre-authorize travel. Question #8 is Estimated Total Cost of Trip [ based on 9, 10, & 11 ]. Is there a way to enter a dollar amount in each #9, 10, and 11 and then have them total to line 8? Thank you.
great video! Do you know how to search or sort my forms or group forms now that they have changed the interface?
That is coming back soon, probably 2 months
Hi is it possible to display the deadline in the poll headline or so?
just so the user knows it.
