You are a big supporter of protection and so wrapping your EV tool might be a good thing, but baring that gorgeous blue paint job is sublime. PS it does need a bigger flashlight though.
Awesome news on the R1T. How long did you have to wait? Did you have a Launch Edition reservation? Just ppf the blue.
We ordered it September 2021 so we were late to the ball game and missed out on the Launch Edition

tpms, check the tire pressure, make sure it's to spec
I put one of those wireless adapters in my EV6 so I have seamless Apple CarPlay now. I’ve not had any issue with my EV6, but I am going in for the 8K service and recall fix. When did you order your R1T from Rivian? Curious how long it took you to have your order filled. My EV6 was my holdover car until I get my Rivian. Thanks for the super videos.
What adapter are you using? The one I ordered kept freezing so I resorted to the wired again.
Ordered the R1T in September 2021 so looks like it will take about 13mo from ordering to delivery.
@@EVandChill I purchased the Ottocast adapter as it had nice reviews on some of the EV6 forums. Congrats on the R1T. My order for Forest Green/Ocean Coast was in early January 2022. I’m in no rush now that I have the EV6 (wife drives the Mach-e), but early delivery would not be frowned upon.

Hey Shannon, how does it compare to the Mach-E so far?
I think the EV6 rides more smooth but the Mach-E drove better. I really do like how the Mach-E looks but being able to charge quickly in the EV6 is super nice for all the road trips we have been doing in it.

I would personally not get rid of the EV6, but if you absolutely must go with Rivian, then go with a Chrome Blue Vinyl rap, if you like the blue then get that one. I had my KIA EV6 Wind wrapped in a blue chrome vinyl wrap and Rose Gold/carbon fiber accents with a ceramic clear coat 2nd layer for protection, the glacier white was completely covered inside and out.

Can’t believe she just had the car serviced and they didn’t shut off the flat tire warning light. Surprising for a car in this price range especially. Or did she do the video just before she had the car serviced?
The vid was after the service so they def forgot. Not the biggest deal but yeah wish they would have done it.

Do you like the EV6 better than the Mach E?
I do, it rides really well and charges supremely fast. I do miss the Mach-E’s looks though!
I already have both model Y Performance and Ev 6 wind rear wheel drive. Is it just me or does the EV6 get waaaaaaaaay better range?
The EV6 RWD Wind is rated at 310 miles while the MYP is rated at 303mi…I’d hope the EV6 RWD can go further lol
@@EVandChill I'm getting 200 on my performance with about 15% left and getting 335 on the EV6 with 20 percent left beating it's estimated range. I love my performance but the range is a bit disappointing. I even test on chill mode and it didn't make much of a difference.
I am currently on a road trip and typically I never drive the speed limit (always +5 to 15 over) but decided to give it a go. I actually averaged 3.73 mi/kWh with 5 people in the car for a 232 mi road trip. I’d normally agree that my MYP isn’t as efficient but when I actually drive the speed limit, it actually is lol. Now that I’m done with the test, I’m going to be inefficient and go faster but it did blow my mind that was efficient as it was whenever I listen to the law 😂
@@EVandChill hahaha I do the same I been testing range every which way.. once I'm done, I drive a bit rough.. btw it was because of you I got the performance red with white seats!!!! Totally fell in love with that combo. Good luck with the Rivian! I'm going to stick with the EV6 and My Tesla. My wife named her EV6 hippie cuz of those Hips on that car.. I was like Damn 😳😳.... 🤣

Plus the Rivian will have better range and it's a pick up truck. Customers should be happy that they could but your Evo6 in that color, I wonder when you get to test drive the Lucid Air (if you have already) willing to trade your Tesla for that?
I think the only car I would trade my MYP in for would be a Model X. I think the Lucid looks really cool but if I’m going to spend that amount of money on an EV, I’ll take the MX.

Trying to decide between the EV6 and Mach-E which one would you recommend? I like the materials, sound and moon roof in the Mustang, but I like the tech and handling of the EV6 better.
We have both. We got the Mach-E first and then I got the KIA EV6 Wind. I do like the tech and handling of the KIA, and we got a giant dongle to use Apple CarPlay with our being attached to a cord. The Mach-E has done well on the road trips she’s been on. Haven’t taken the KIA on any yet. I like the Mach-E and LOVE the EV6, and my husband likes the EV6 and loves his Mach-E.

I think it really depends on how much you travel. If you travel frequently, the EV6’s ability to charge quickly will be a great asset. Both look great though!

The rivian is nice, your going to have a worse miles / kW for daily use, but at least you will have the MY.
You said you flashed it once. So if you flash it a second time, you have re-flashed it.
I’d leave the color alone on the Rivian and just PPF it.
‘Oops’ is being shipped and the dealer informed him there would be a $10k additional charge on top of the $80k agreed to price. He wasn’t sure if he was going to accept that or not. I know it’s probably a business write off for him but he wasn’t happy about it.

We wanted to change the color to a matte finish so we wrapped it ourselves since we are only keeping it for around 9 months.

"Model Y and the Rivian Will be best for our family" No shade intended but based on your pattern you already have the next EV on order and will be selling the Rivian once the next one is ready for delivery. You guys need to change the channel to a full on car review channel. This would provide more content and attract a wider audience. You're starting to look like flippers masquerading as EV enthusiasts.
What is the point in time where It transitions from EV enthusiasts to car flippers?
