Mad Max in the 2016 Brazilian Grand Prix is one of the greatest displays of genuine driving ability and car control the world has ever seen.

Max isnt a dirty pilot. He s not a torpedo man, his style is " aggressive " for sure, he loves to fight, overtake and defend but now with a 5 years experience you can see he s no longer trying dangerous maneuvers, he s probably the most talented pilot on the current grid.

Like Dageek said, Max isn't a dirty driver. You want a dirty driver, you look at Vettel
@@TheColinChapman who cares? It takes more than a crash to define a driver
Dude was literally racing in F1 before he had a drivers license. Absolute legend.
There's an apocryphal story about Max taking his driver's licence test and failing because of a rushed traffic light. The instructor tells Max he's lucky to be alive, because he shouldn't have made that light. Max then replies: "That wasn't luck."
Unlike others he wasn't even allowed to go get hid license when he started.

He and RedBull can afford that because theyre not in the title fight..when the risky strategy works, theyre thought of being geniuses and when they fail theyre still P5 P6 and noone really mentions that fail... When the car is going to get better, expect a less agressive Max for sure.

Imagine F1 without Max Verstappen! He gives us this raw energie. He still does after 7 years. Look how he put pressure on Lewis in Abu Dhabi restart. Right in his flank and putting so much pressure already.
It was breathtaking
Taking all of those risks in the rain solidified him as the closest thing to a modern day Senna for me. The fact that Prost thought it was unnecessarily bold was the cherry on top. Love his team too. They must work hard to practice everything they do. They had most of the fastest pit stops in F1 history this year. Sub 2-seconds several times.

@G Galilei he's just asking a question. But the answer has been given, and I also agree with the OP. Give him a good 4-5 years and we'll be even more astounded by his talent. He's already matured massively - few young men his age can be as pragmatic in an emotional event. He's not yet 25, which is the age at which the brain becomes fully adult (it's why younger drivers take more risks). The better drivers, like Hamilton (I'm only using this grid as an example, this isn't an argument re who is the GOAT), started out much like Max but have changed immensely over time. More patience for example. Max is almost there, but he still has youth on his side. When he hits 27, he'll have been in F1 for 10 years! *Then* he'll be in his prime, and for the rest of the grid, may God have mercy on their souls lol! Assuming he has half-decent machinery, he's going to be incredibly difficult to beat. In the meantime, enjoy his pure natural talent. it's bold it's brave it's beautiful it's max verstappen
Who’s here after he is the World Champion 👑
Racing with Max in iRacing for a few hours was one of the biggest honors and privileges of my life. Truly unbelievable to see his abilities up close - I look forward to the day when I can say I had the chance to race with a World Champion!
This is that day!!
@@BjornRunow that it is!! 😆
If Max has a Merc under him, he’d probably have at least one championship right now
I think with a Ferrari too in 2018
Could've won WDC from 2017 if he had a more reliable/better car, like the merc/ferrari.
Give him time, he's not a great deal more experienced than a rookie! And I'm saying that with 100% respect. Imagine how good he's _going_ to get!
I thought he was amazing in F3. I'm not surprised by him in F1 - excited, but not surprised!
Good to stay with Red Bull. Honda engine will be much better in 2020, I think hes fighting for wdc next season
@reelkena The disrespect of Hamilton is outrageous. You underestimate the value of experience. I have to see it to believe it,. Hamilton is still the best driver on the grid. Only thing against Hamilton is his age and the decline that brings. Max is a great talent and full of potential but I need to a fair fight between him and Hamilton to determine whose the best. I need a full season of Max vs Lewis and see who comes out on top to claim who's the best. Kinda bummed Max didn't go to Mercedes and stayed with RB until 2023. If he doesn't win a WDC we can expect to hear Max and his fans complain about the car when he obviously passed up the opportunity and made the decision not to drive the best car and go head to head with Hamilton. That argument won't hold up if Max never wins a WDC.
Mad Max World Champion 2021
No one can deny ever!!!!!
You can like him or not but you can't deny the fact that Max reignited the fire in F1!🔥🔥
We are gonna see a repeat of the Schumacher vs Hakkinen days again with Leclerc and Verstappen. Their rivalry is going to be absolutely phenomenal to watch in the future
I think it's even going to be better. They were born only 16 days apart from each other, and those two can go and dominate F1 together for at least 10 years. With Senna and Prost there was a 5 year gap between them.
@@jackodees1765 he didn't say Senna and Prost. He said Schumacher and Hakkinen.
To your point: Prost being older never changed anything. "The Professor" never drove to win races, he drove to win championships. He could be 3rd all season long if that meant that he'd win the championship. Prost was like Lauda 2.0, however the nickname "The Calculator" was already taken, so... "The Professor" it is.
ferrari is just the wrong team, leclerc won't be competative until he joins a better team.
@@epicgram in fact Prost learned a lot from Lauda in '84 and 85.
