A big factor could be that Vettel has never won from lower than 3rd on the grid despite some excellent comeback drives (Abu Dhabi 2012, Germany 2019, Brazil 2012)

First of, the races were fun because of the rain. Also the track had export grand stands meaning they lost money hosting, that's why F1 left. It wasn't that F1 wanted to leave, Germany wanted to leave

Canada 2011... 2 Years after graduating highschool. I was at this girl's place and we watched it. It was like 4 hours long. Perfect. Plenty of small talk in the red flag periods and time to make some espresso and bust out the snacks.

2019 was a pretty good year for Toro Rosso
from 2006 to 2018 only one podium (vettel's p1 in monza 2008 his first f1 victory)

Most races here show vettel failing. Goes to show the absolute dominance this man had
goes to show how dominant his car was at red bull. but as soon as someone is closing fast on Vettel, he cant handle the pressure and makes a mistake. canada 2011 and germany 2018 (i think it was in the Ferrari).
May be it shows how bad dominance is to the sport. When the dominant is eliminated, great races happen.

@Guodlca not sprinklers because the wet tyres are for standing water, and inters for raindrops, bit wets are too wet for the sprinklers

It was the rain and the opportunities that came with it really. Not the track. If we’re going by forecasts, I’d say 2011 Canada was the best by far.

He screwed himself and Lewis.
He's deserved _a_ win or podium a few times - but they were the times when he was in a great position but either the car let him down or someone took him out. You can't say he deserved a win in the races in which _he_ made the mistake. I'm not going to argue about this one in particular, just pointing out that he frequently let himself down. Not as often as the other two reasons, I'm guessing (I'm sure there's a random nerd with the stats who could correct me). But nobody deserves a win when _they_ are at fault, and I'm pretty sure Nico would agree. Though it would have been wonderful to see him on the podium. His win at Le Mans at the first time of trying shows he has the capability to race and win. I hope he gets a good drive in WEC, it's where he seems to be the most settled (rather than going to German touring cars or Indycar etc).

@@FCB001 Naaah, boring Merc 1-2 finish again. 2019 had a Toro Rosso out sprint a Merc to the finish line and a McLaren on the podium. When last did you see that? Admittedly everything else apart from the 1-2 finish in 2016 was epic. Crashes, overtakes like crazy! Rain in Brazil makes for exciting racing.

Raikkonen is fun, but far from a legend. And honestly, Alonso is one of the best ever, but didn't win enough to be called a legend. Schumi is the only one of the three.

When you think about Kimi Räikkönen, the first thing you think about is not that he won a championship. It's how long he's been around, that he rarely smiles and the way he answers questions i.e. his oneliners like 'Well, I crashed.'
Many very good drivers (like Ralf Schumacher) on the other hand, is barely though of, because they didn't leave an impression.
Of the 2019 grid, there are four drivers I think we'll remember: Hamilton for his excellece, Sainz for his smooth operations, Ricciardo for his personality and Räikkönen for his seemingly lack thereof.

Great selection of races.
There's a large bias in favour of the crazy, slightly random races, normally caused by rain with lots of crashes. I personally really like the times you get two great drivers going at it all race long. Hungary 2019 was one of my favourite races for a long time. It didn't have someone winning who started 16th, it didn't have lots of position changes caused by rain and crashes. What it did have was Hamilton and Verstappen both putting in awesome drives and having an epic scrap for the entire race.

Slavko Gelo they want us to believe that the V6T era is any good and the thing is: we have 1-2 good races per season in the hybrid era. We used to have 9-10 good races in the V8/V10 era. Just 2012 alone was better than the whole hybrid era together, but they want us to watch F1 and therefore they try to make us believe that modern races are better. Whoever watched that awesome 2011 Canadian GP or the whole 2012 season knows what Im talking about. Also, Abu Dhabi 2010 was a pretty good race, way more than Bahrain 2014 for example. But nope, no mention at all

Javier Piernagorda I mean, the v8-v10 era had 5-6 world champions battling it out where in 2019 we had 3. The title fight in 2012 was between drivers who each had at least one championship under their belts and that had something to do with the excitement of the season.
