Yes, those who did get remarried after a divorce, (with the permission of the Bishop) and with no annulment, can go to Confession & Communion. So long as they live together like brother & sister. Especially works well with older couples, wanting companionship only. 🙏

Pray to God and seek forgiveness. He who is in Heaven has the power to forgive sins.

My ex husband and I married and divorced twice. Both of us catholic when married. Both of us remarried others. My ex husband died a couple of months ago. I want to get back into the church to receive the sacraments. Can I go to confession and receive communion?

If found valid shouldn't they be encouraged to restore and reconcile with their first spouse cause if they dont aren't they continuing to live in sin as they neglect their vows to love in good and bad sickness health richer poorer til death as an example of Christ's forgiveness and unconditional love to their children should there be any from this valid marriage and to the world.
Should they have children with the second they have a responsibility to the welfare of the children but not the vows to that adulterous mate. To give that person any level of the vows over their true spouse would be usurping the office of their spouse?

I divorced civilly because my annulment was rejected and I married an orthodox person. I have never heard from all the Catholic priests that I know of the fact That we should live together as brother and sister or seperate as this priest suggests. The Catholic church needs to be Welcoming and sympathetic towards people in this situation not advising them to seperate.

CCC 1650 a divorced person cannot receive the sacrament of confession or communion if cohabitating with another man or women. There is scandal
Involved with people cohabiting in a state of divorce without annulment

This is an orthodoxe priest, some other priest would have cited Amoris Laetitia and claim that they can just come back and receive the Holy Eucharist, it s ok.

I was denied confession as a divorced and remarried woman. Done with the Catholic church.

Good luck starting your own religion based on what you want rather than what Jesus taught

I'm sorry to hear this please know the Church is still open to you and wants to give you forgiveness. Don't judge the church based on a sole experience. God Bless.

In 2002 I was married in the Catholic church . . . We were both professional musicians . . . 6 years later she left me for someone else because she said her life wasn't fulfilled because she wanted to be famous and I didn't . . . I took my marriage in the Catholic church seriously . . . She married me only because I was a guitarist and songwriter she thought could make her famous.
Today, 20 years later I am with someone who loves me for me.
I will seek annulment . . . The person I am with wants to embrace Catholic faith deeply.
    It means everything to me.
The Blessed Mother and The Holy Trinity are everything to me . . . Not chasing earthly goals and money and fame.
Eternal life should be EVERYONES GOAL.
