Love the vid bro after watching i heavily considering the msi but can you do a short video on how to calibrate it for the best settings im still new to all of this
In Australia the AW is $700 cheaper than the MSI. Value will always depends on your region.
AW3225QF = $1500 (includes free shipping)
321UPX = $2200
PG32UCDM = $2800
(I can almost buy two AW3225QF for the price of one PG32UCDM lol)
After the firmware updates my AW3225QF is amazing now, playing on PC and PS5. Both monitors are great, buy the one that fit your needs and pocket.
Alienware fam for life!
You can turn off Dolby Vision on the Alienware now (4th firmware update from March) so the both of them should look identical.
Hi and thanks a lot for the great review! Tell me between LG C3 42 and 321UPX which one would you choose and why? I'm not just talking about games of course, but also work and content creation)
That Alienware is amazing
Ordered the Alienware today
The alienware is cheaper where i am. If i convert to usd, alienware is 975 usd whilst the msi cost 1469 usd. I am based in Asia. Its a no brainer to choose the alienware.
Why is alienware so cheap??
we are in the same area, had mine coming this Monday. Although MSI's msrp is usd899 but its priced almost asus/aorus here, which made aw3225qf best deal.
Yes, it is cheaper, but it has a lot fewer ports and connections than the MSI and the Aorus, for example.
@@jusufme the ports really dont justify a $500 jump to be honest. and the alienware comes with 1 x DP and 2 X HDMI 2.1 port. its more than enough
@@jusufme and someone just overclock the alienware AW3225QF to 1000hz! thats better than buying the LG dual mode monitor where it will cost way more over here in asia. ruclips.net/video/mDr4Qm1QJqs/видео.html
Awesome video man! Thanks for the information
I just bought the MSI MAG variant of the 1440p 27 inch display (360hz) for $750. I’ll only use it to game on my PS5. Do you think the one I bought is a better purchase than the 32 inch model? Since the PS5 can rarely run games at 4K 60+, and I like high refresh rate games
See rtings review for it.
Iv been waiting on the msi mpg 27" 1440p model but more recently iv been becoming more interested in the 4k model as its got more going for it I feel. For a small bit more money I think it's a better choice.
Better text clarity with it being 4k, dolby vision support for console, 240hz is still insanely fast and other than a few esports titles achieving 360hz at any decent graphics settings isn't really achievable so wouldn't focus too much on that. Plus with the 4k 32" model you can also lower the resolutions and screen dimensions to give you that smaller competitive feel if needed but can also enjoy the larger and immersive 32" 4k on the lower fps for single player or even just watching a movie etc.
I think buying the 4k monitor is a good investment over the 1440p as time goes by 4k will become the norm and its a future upgrade you won't need to think about "hopefully"
which one is cheaper, need a 600 qd oled 4k 240hz
Does it have a built in KVM switch? I know the Alienware doesn’t, even though I like that one better. I like the AW curve, my current Dell 32 inch is curve but no KVM kills the deal for me for the AW.
It doesn’t have a usb hub, which is why the early versions couldn’t have their firmware updated.
Bought the alienware one, not happy about it. There is serious flickering when gsync was enabled which made me turn it off. After that, even when watching Netflix and youtube videos, there is still occasional flickering which made me to lower the refresh rate to 60 Hz. Now the monitor seems to be working perfectly for me after these adjustments, the color is stunning with 4k HDR on.
I love my AW3225QF ~ Very happy with it
i enjoyed it when i had it but couldn't get past the scratches from the bubble wrap. also, loved the curve!
@@mileskt9232 Should’ve got it replaced
How does it look when you downscale to 1440P? I'm thinking of getting one for mt first PC but I'm a little wary about the image quality looking terrible if I downscale to 1440P on a native 4K panel
I will soon have one
@@mileskt9232 sending mine back as well for msi...\
Ordered the alienware, its $100 off rn on dell canada
Does the this MAG version have g sync? Because it doesnt say g sync compatible on the description like the MPG version does.
Does it have a crosshair on the osd for the msi monitor
Are you able to turn off the white power indicator light underneath the MSI monitor?
No
with latest firmware update you can
I can never find any of these in stock
no windows behind me. but interested in seeing how bad the blacks are.
I think I Understand the difference between the MAG and MPG models but what is the difference between URX and UPX?
i know theres an AI brightness and contrast control difference, usb c 90w vs 15w power and also of ocurse firmware capability. other than this, theres the black vs aluminum bezel and thats it that i know of.
@@mileskt9232 thank you! Hard to get information on them
how does MSI oled is 900usd and ASUS oled is around 1500usd, so thats around like 700$ difference
but in sweden, msi and asus are both around 1500-1600usd, which is crazy. is this normal?
EU are being **** in the *** so its normal. I have ASUS and it has coil whine while its OFF DO NOT BUY THIS no matter what. My recommendations would be FO32U2P then MSI (if cheaper) or alienware if you like curve. But avoid ASUS it has firmware issues or this coil whine will make you insane.
Everywhere it's like, MSI uses English speaking reviewers to spread misleading prices.
@@MrM-dl5zm How does it have coil whine without a fan?
UPDATE: MSI has said UPX can receive firmware updates. No details yet, though. If you're part of the first batch you can ask MSI to swap it out for you.
which one has the black bezel is it the upx version?
@@clave2049 UPX has the black bezel, URX is more of a silver grey
The lack of firmware updates is actually an issue as there are bugs with all these new QD-OLED displays and this one will be no different. The MPG version of this monitor from MSI is already receiving updates to fix issues that the MAG won't receive. Things like panel protection settings turning off after changing modes, not remembering that it did pixel cleaning and running it over and over again wearing the panel out. Some serious issues. Don't tell people "who cares" about the updates, it's important at this early stage of the monitors life.
what bugs does this one have though? i havent seen any reports of issues with it from reviewers or youtubers? monitors should work out of the box. it sucks we even have to firmware update.
It works perfectly out of the box with no issues I have seen. The pixel cleaning comes on after every four hours of use. It's way beyond where the Alienware was when that first shipped. For $900, and being more available than all the other displays, I would not hesitate. PLUS, buy it through Best Buy or Amazon where returns are super simple if you get fussy about a tiny issue.
@@JohnnyMcPro If you defer cleaning it will do it at 16 hours but not remember it did it and then will do it whenever it wants to. See the OLED_Gaming subreddit for details on the various bugs you've not experienced yet.
You can get updates now
@@ashleythomas5553 I saw, that's a good turn around by MSI! - And goes to prove updates were needed.
i just snagged a great deal on a used 321upx for only $675, so i think it will definitely be worth the trade-off for no firmware updates, but maybe it will get it eventually anyway?? i say that because my current monitor is the alienware aw3423dw which wasn't supposed to have any new firmware support, but in fact they did eventually release a firmware update available to download, so maybe msi will do the same
Does the this MAG version have g sync? Because it doesnt say g sync compatible on the description like the MPG version does.
If you just want to hook up an Xbox or PS5 to the monitor, the lack of firmware updates really doesn’t matter much. Unless you have a Windows PC laying around, which not everyone does nowadays, a lot of monitors won’t even let you update them. Finding a monitor that lets you upgrade firmware simply by plugging in a USB drive with the update rather than being forced to go through some Windows utility is getting harder and harder for some reason.
Get the lg c3 TV console can't go to 240hz
Alienware seems to look a little better. But that could just be me telling myself the $1500 cad was worth what I paid
what website are you on @ 7:31
OF?
I have that MSI monitor, and wow
I am looking at the MSI but this comparison shows that the Alienware looks more detailed, but it's very minimal. Still MSI is good.
Dell alien aware on RTINGS test input latency quality is better vs msi. In germany Dell is only 900 euros.. vs msi 800 euros.
Alienware is on sale atm on dell canada
In my country in EU difference is huge 350dollar. Alienware much cheaper. I dont know why but thats real.
Msi only has usb 2.0 and no firmware update option ,which are both drawbacks to this monitor imo.
msi blackness is better from what i see
people telling you that HDR looks great on these new QD OLEDS have never experienced real HDR. Of course it looks good on games like Horizon but just play other games with worse contrast and you see the flaws of these panels. At some game syou barely see a differenece between SDR and HDR on these monitors and thats a deal breaker for anyone who wants to game with HDR. As a gamer it doesn't make any sense to buy such an expensive monitor with such poor HDR performance.
First!
Samsung Neo g8 is better
no
Aw3225qf has better colours and blacks than g8 . Huge difference
I'm actually upgrading from the NEO G8 to an OLED lol
Is the slight curve with Alienware a pro or a con?
Pro believe it or not
Can’t even notice it
Con
i sellded it bcoz of the curve
