Cracking day, if it was closer i would have been there, racing on grass. You cant beat it 😎 and looking forward to revival at Oswestry as its on grass 👍
Awesome! I wish stuff like this wasn’t a one off type thing. It reminds me of the track I used to race on back in the mid 80’s. It was a mix of grass, soft sand, hard clay and some of the jumps were over a water hazard. Good times (yes I’m old😂) Looks like a great day.
Great video i wish we had events like this here in the US like there used to be. I love racing touring cars and have to travel 200 miles to the nearest track.
@@PopalongRC yeah you guys do a ton more fun and club racing than they do here. I have built a speed run car and have been learnig a lot about it. My wife and i are planning a trip for Rossa next year. I thought it was great that you guys ran a Corally buggy. Still one of my best and favorite touring cars is my Corally RDX it is old but still very competitive.
I think racing on grass is much more interesting than carpet as the track changes more through out the event and I'm biased because it was what we used to race on when I started along time ago
Gutted to have missed this event, looks like it was a great day. Hope to see you guys at Broxtowe for the Iconic Cup, be sure to bring your buggies for Saturday night racing 👍
Very COOL… the way you have shown the potential of those budge priced cars… 👍👍👍 Did you run the original FTX tires on the Vantage 4WD…? Keep on having a great RC FUN time…!!! 🍀 Thorsten 🌞 RACER - Budget RC Fun Team Germany 🍻 😉😂😊…
looks like it was a fun day! i was looking to popalong to this event but as someone who has never raced before i could not attend as i don't have a transponder (transponder number was needed to sign up). In the future if you are going to advertise an event as 'grassroots' and intended for new people to the hobby/racing, it would be worth having some transponders to hire for the new peeps so they can actually attend and enjoy the fun times ;)
I’ve mentioned this before but I have at my disposal a school field…. Last term I started my school RC club…doing all sorts but crawling seems to be flavour. However, talking to my site manager it seems I could get permission to build a temporary race course in half term next May/June. I’m Derby based if you come up that far? I need to do more research mind, but how cool would that be?
Would be amazing to do a big all day event in Stevenage but outdoor touring car racing 😎👌 there has been talks of doing an outdoor event at Indoor Raceway Stevenage so maybe you could collab and setup an event? ❤️
I wish I could of come to it. I probably would have had the only pr racing buggy and tamyia grasshopper and could you guys go to the CMCRC race track in Ipswich. It’s a 1/10 buggy/touring car track outside. I think they need some help over there getting the name around.
I love the idea of a RTR class!
So do we it is a great avenue for newcomers
Awesome guys. Keen to see some 1/8 buggy action!
More footage in coming
Damn, that looked like a shedload of fun! I really like the look of the short course trucks, when I'm working again I might get one😉😉
We had a blast
Might look at doing a sct meet up for some fun….
Had a great day loved every minute of it loved racing the shortcourse trucks
I was smiling the whole time I was running the SCT… would not have been the same without you
Thanks for your support

See you at revival
Grassroots racing literally! Awesomeness!💪👍
Was sooooo much fun

Thanks for watching
Brilliant video 👌🏻
Cheers Sam
Outstanding video 😎🦾🍻🍻
Cheers
Thanks for watching
Great video. Looks like a fun time. Love the offroad roadcourse type of track. Here in USA. No one will show up without jumps and big jumps ...
This was pure racing no need to try and fly a car on this teack
@@PopalongRC exactly. I share your viewpoint
It looked like a great day of fun, relaxed racing. The track looked great. Keep ip the good work.
Cheers Michael
It was ace
Oooo. First 😺 cant beat outdoors
Great video and it looked a really great event. Swindon model car club would be a great venue if you fancy coming south
We have friends down that way …
Love it! We need you guys in Wales, there aren't nearly enough clubs here... 😎👍
We will Popalong some day
I would fly out from Barbados Just to participate in this racing 😁😁😁
I think Popalong needs to do an ‘RC Exchange’ and flyout to Barbados to see the RC family out there 😉😂👍
@friktionrc would be nice we have a lot here to showcase unique tracks an all around beautiful island
@@django2467cool I'm flying over end of September. Will try and check out some rc racing in-between the rum 😉
Gutted i missed this but ill be going there in the near future, track looks really well set out 👍🏻
Hope to see you there some time

Great event lads. Another vote for the E-buggy!!
Radix was great fun and did well for a RTR
Awesome day.thanks to Popalong and Gatwick for organising it.
Cheers Dave thanks for coming

We can’t complain about track locations here as uk is pretty small

Popalong
Nice work as always guys. I like that grass track. Maybe you guys should try an endurance race sometime.
Sounds interesting

Like many that is the way
We had a great day. We didn't even know we had a local club until the popalong event. If they'll have us, we'll definitely be back 👍
Cheers Jamie
See you trackside soon
Old school, not the super elaborate tracks these days. Good job with the event lads. Love it.
Great video can’t beat grass racing,I started with racing with hyper 7 pbs nitro loved it
This is RC racing in its purest form

The club did have a few transponders to loan out.

Well Damnit, now I gotta go look at a Tamiya Dt-02
😂 they do drive well👍👍
Great Video!
Any recommended places to take 1/10th buggies in the West Midlands? I cannot seem to find anywhere!
Hmmmm we will have a think about that one

Hello guys, if you like to hold an indoor gap, we’d be happy to host at Stevenage. 👍
We are well up for it

We have several already done in the Radix 4

It is on our wish list
@@PopalongRCmine too 👍
Oh great. Im reaching for my wallet. New to this , but what racing is near Peterborough?
I Spy "THE RC RACER" at 0:36 and 1:17
Wish I had a real track to run my modified bandit n slash on
We have options but always want something closer to home
@@PopalongRC I got nothing but a " pirate" track in the woods n one private club that I ain't getting in lol
