We head down to Herts Nitro for our first ever Nitro outing and it is going to be a steep learning curve for us.... www.hnmc.co.uk/
We would not have been able to do it with out the help of our very own Pit boss Dave. He let us run his never before run Team Associated RC8... What an amazing car for our first try at nitro racing. Авто/Мото
The gas cars are great! Had a few in the day. I found the time spent was equal, but maintenance is different. More mess with gas. We would use orange power or purple power to spray them off and let it soak at home. Then hose them off in a half hour and use an acid brush to clean the nooks and crannys. Good times.
So awesome to have a good friend to enjoy rc together
And someone to take the p@ss out of too helps😂
Glad to see your subscribers going up fellas. I've shared a few of your vids with mates.
Cheers Sonny
The burger van lmbo …🦾🦾🍻
🍔
Watching your videos makes me want to get into the racing scene in some way I have a friend who’s been racing the 1/8 nitro off and on for years and I did look into do that about 5 years ago I even bought a car and all the gear
But I don’t think I could ever put the time into it needs so il just have to be content with watching your videos 👍
Have a go and Popalong
Enjoy the experience and don’t expect to win … just get involved
Hope to see you trackside some day
Get amongst it, ebuggy is perfect if your busy until you get the bug.
Myself, I'm in New zealand and I'm new ish to the hobby. Most people in rc are busy this is how they afford it. It's our break from life us busy people
@stones4879 we used to take cars for a walk during the lockdowns
Nice round up and interesting chat , I had nitro back in the day (30 years ago) and never got it right and it’s still not my cup of tea but that was a really good video seeing those that can and do. And it’s great that you expose so many different disciplines.
Cheers Shaun
I would like to see some 1/5 losi 5t / mcd RR racing at that Astro track Kev goes too. That is epic. Bloody noisy tho. Maybe electric versions or plenty of earplugs. Also you picked the wrong time of year to race nitro. Most normal people go indoors on the winter. Nothing Beats 1.8 on a sunny day tho . The only tip I would give is get some earplugs and a gas mask . A mouthful of nitro smoke is no joke .
You hit the nail on the head…. You really need to dedicate a lot of time to be competitive in nitro, back in the day it was the only racing I done and all my time was dedicated to it!
Now though with trying to have a go at everything, the racing definitely suffers
The top tier definitely put the hours in
This is hilarious, my brother and I are just the same! I pick up slowly and tend to get better overall performance, but his high speed approach tends to the fastest lap.
Nice round up guys. Looks like fun, noisy though.
Yes indeed, but a great experience
Been watching the channel for a while now, really enjoy your guys content. I primarily race 1/5 on and off road. As for 1/5 im sure i could sort an on or offroad car out for you guys to use at a club meet next year.
Sounds like a date👍👌
I would love to see you guys do another 1/5 video. I raced and met a fellow UK 🇬🇧 racer with 1/5. Craig Orman maybe he could let you guys have a go at some 1/5. Be great for your channel and helpv1/5 exposure. Love what both of you bring to the hobby. Darn pond in between us. I set up a 1/5 car for each of you guys....
Cheers blue let’s hope we make it happen
Never to many cars …..!!! 😎
Where did the wife get her facts from
Driving miss daisy, brilliant, but sometimes you actually know it's Carl just by the way the car goes round the track like a drone hehe
As I always say slow is fast!!
@@stones4879😮
Tyres is such a big thing in those changeable conditions
Yeah and we got that bit wrong hahahaha
@@PopalongRC it's easy to do that's what I like about onroad with the control tyres. I used to enjoy racing my nitro rallycross, I remember ending up with lots of tyres and even swapping tyres with one of the team drivers on one occasion
Instead of driving Mrs daisy can I say baby on board 😂
I’m only joking I love your videos
I need to put a baby on board sticker for my car😂
I'd love to have a go round that track with my non turbo mp9 😊
Do it!!
Get in touch with the guys at Nene Valley Raceway I'm sure someone will be happy to get you on track there with 1/5th off road 👍 Also Brooklands rc track if you fancy giving 1/5th on road a go👍
Will do, thanks for the heads up👍
Shane Vangisbergin was new zealand rc nitro champion. He is now v8 supercars and recently won a nascar race
Awesome, would love to watch nascar! It’s on my bucket list👍
1/5 scale is pure destruction. Every race I’ve seen, even the fast guys are breaking stuff. They’re just too big and fast. But good luck lads
Let’s see what happens
Then you realize, many rebuild the motors "nitro" after one race not just the car
Yeah, the level of prep is on another level!!
"Fewer" mistakes :)
