- Mark and Carl finally popalong to the amazing Mendip RC raceway to complete in the first round of the iconic cup. This competitions see's 120 drivers racing at 6 fantastic venues across the UK. This Tamiya event has to be one of the best and biggest Tamiya race series in the world.

I know loads of people who have missed a heat, its easly done. Its a shame the track may not be there for next year, someone should give Jenson a shout to see if he can help save it.
Would be good to get in touch with him for sure, there are way to many on road track closures unfortunately
@@PopalongRC yup, a few ive heard about facing closure or loosing there venue. Hopefully they get to stay, would be a loss for the community aswell as us.
Have you seen the new AMAIN track in the US, they posted a video a few weeks ago on their RUclips. Very impressive facility.

Why’s the track going to close. It looks like a nice venue to me.
Why do people have hiviz vests on
Is the yellow car a rover 800 on the end of concourse line up. There’s some lovely looking cars.
The blue and yellow ford mondeo is my favourite ever bttc car.
Landlord wants to repurpose the land for other uses.
The vests are a BRCA rule, each person must wear one when marshalling races.
During COVID, the BRCA made it a rule each person needs there own vest to reduce contact, the rule hasn't been changed back as of yet
The rest I can't answer :)
The high viz is because for obvious safety reasons they must be worn when marshalling. You could use your own but before covid the club's usually provided vests so you passed it to the next marshall when they arrived at the marshalling point. The temporary covid rules stipulated you must provide your own vest, but since those rules were removed club's usually haven't gone back to providing them.
Rather than just wearing the hiviz for the 5 minutes of marshalling each round a lot of people just put the vest on in the morning and keep it on all day so they don't forget it. Which is annoying as you can't tell who is marshalling and who is spectating.
The Rover body is a Rover SD1 made by Team C Racing.
