I just rebuilt mine with a rebuild kit and a lot of carb cleaner. It wasn't using the main jet when I put it back on and I had to take it off again. I can say that it can come out from both sides. And make sure the needle in the slide is not flopping up and down. That was making it lean for some reason?
You have good patience. I take off the fuel tank because I just need the extra room. Working in tiny places just losses me off. I still get kissed off with the tank removed, just a little less though :). Thanks again.
I dont know if you will see this but if so, on the left side of the carb there is a black thing that a hose could hook up to. Do you know where that goes?
Thank you for putting this vid together! I am going to try this with my eiger. Ok a side note, can you tell me what the hose that lies along side the fuel air box is for? I just bought the machine and can't figure it out.
Thats thw vacum line that runs into the fuel petcock of tank, if you swap your tank to a yamaha gravity flow and dont have anywhere to hook up that hose you can put a peice of rubber over it to plug it and will work same way
If you do it yourself like this maybe $50 anymore, Mechanics maybe $150 or better. I got rung by someone on here, that I was not using genuine parts. Well it runs perfectly after 1500’miles so far. Just my opinion on that. It’s all made overseas anymore sadly for USA.

Ill look when i get home, ill see if i can tell. It has been awhile
The new carb has black plastic where you connect the choke. How did you connect?
Good video. But if I may interject here, it’s a little easier to remove the carb from the other side because the intake is angled that way.
Thanks I needed to see what I was getting myself into.
You are welcome

Does it go to the fuel valve, that shut fuel off when there is no vacuum when engine is shit off. I think this is what you are talking about
@@HighOctane101 I found an unconnected hose that sticks out as I removed the plastic top cover for the air box. I pull it straight up basically
Are you using the original petcock
That rubber like you popped off at 6:49 where does that go to?
Not sure if I follow you at 6:49, I’m putting on the black plastic cover on the right side of the carb at this time
What hose goes on the front top of the carburetor that’s going into the motor?

Do you still recommend the zoom carburetor for the river, I need a new one for my eiger and don't have 400 dollars for OEM One?
the carb still works but I am going to rebuild the factory carb for a backup, for the price yes this is a good deal and carb works just fine yet
@@HighOctane101 is the carb still working good?
I would like to know as well
It is still working great
Still working great
How much should I expect to pay for a carb replacement

@@HighOctane101 thanks for reply I have a 03 and 07 03 has carb issues figured I’d replace as opposed to cleaning. What’s your thought
Very helpful. Thanks
Thanks For kind comment
Nice Video! On the aftermarket carb did You have to adjust the air/fuel screw if so what was it? Thanks
Nope everything was set correctly
Any chance you remember how many turns you have the pilot screw set to? Like a dumbass i messed with mine and now i cant get it set right.
Same! Mine idles on choke but shuts off when choke is turned off. I think it’s the pilot but I’m going to try to see if I can adjust it as shown here.
