An animal that kills caimans its size and often larger than itself - should have no trouble killing crocodiles its size or somewhat larger. if you mean, 700kg. Nile Crocodiles, 600kg Muggers or 800kg. Saltwater Crocs - well, isn't that unfair to expect for a 60kg Jaguar to match their strength?

@@AhmedWafaa Black Caimans are on average only ca. 20% smaller and lighter than the American Alligator. Other Caimans area considerably smaller. I also allow that the alligator, having a broader, as well as longer, snout, is almost certain to have a somewhat more powerful bite than a Black Caiman. But that's beside My point. My point is that at parity (meaning, same weight as a Jaguar in prime), no extant Crocodilian can kill a Jaguar.
I have no doubt if Jaguar was bigger than its natural size ( Length and weight) it can take down a full grown Nile River crocodiles. They are by far the most fearless out of all the big cats
Caimans are in the crocodile family, but they are not crocodiles. I have to add something so that this becomes clearer to everyone: - We do not call a lion a tiger, because it is in the cat family. - A dromedary (one hump) is in the camel family (family camelidae), but it is still a dromedary, and we should name it a dromedary and not a camel (2 humps). A lot says camel about the dromedary. In that case, they must add "somali camel" or "arabian camel", or it will be wrong. But the right thing is, if there is one hump, it is called a dromedary. This is about teaching those who read this to use the right terminology. If not, people will repeatedly say things wrong, and others will follow their mistakes. This in turn leads to misunderstandings in certain contexts. I am thinking here of other errors that are said within the English language. There are too many incompetent people who comment on things they do not really know.
@@FiveZeroSafaris They're just as gnarly as any croc tho. Alot of croc fans say caimans are weak, but the fact of the matter is a jaguar sees all crocodilians as prey. Caimans are actually more dangerous because they're alot faster than crocs.
I think it all depends on the species of caiman. The black caiman is a monster that can do some real damage, but is not found in the Pantanal where these Jaguars were filmed. Spectacled caiman are considerably smaller and don't even offer resistance to the jaguars. Either way, I'll stay out of there water :)

Don't expect for a Jaguar to overpower and kill an 800kg Saltie or a 700kg Nile crocodile, but any crocodile its size or somewhat larger would lose against a Jaguar.
@@LeoInterHyenaem dude , the caiman is far less smaller and lighter than even alligator , the physical strength of crocodile is more powerful and it's more aggressive , the skin is like an armour that is impossible for a 60 kg cat to bite through it , i've seen an injured jaguar killed by three alligator , jaguar sharing a food with crocodile , which most likely the jaguar would avoid a fight with a crocodile .
But like a lot bigger
No! Not even Tigers or Lions (200kg average) can take down Crocs 400kg or bigger!
Jags take Nile crocs too?
he's so fast that he can walk on water
The caiman?
@@FiveZeroSafaris the jaguar
@@darcy0702 Then best not to be the caiman.
Good video 👍👍🇧🇷
Love the comments! Thanks! :)
Caimans are in the crocodile family, but they are not crocodiles.
I have to add something so that this becomes clearer to everyone:
- We do not call a lion a tiger, because it is in the cat family.
Correct
@@FiveZeroSafaris They're just as gnarly as any croc tho. Alot of croc fans say caimans are weak, but the fact of the matter is a jaguar sees all crocodilians as prey. Caimans are actually more dangerous because they're alot faster than crocs.
Some can grow as long 15 feet...that's a croc.
Yeah caimans are so much smaller right??
Onça pintada, caçando no Pantanal Brasil 🇧🇷👏👏
Correct! :)
Never seen a croc run from a land creature
Everyone has a check to pay.
Never knew any animal actively hunted these things.
The Jaguar looks like a baby 🥰
Is this common or ignorance?
In the Pantanal, caiman are the main food source of jaguars. This one is a young adult female. Jaguars are proper beasts!
There is way BIG différence between croc and alligator... This is an alligator not a croc
Is there a difference between an alligator and a caiman?
@@FiveZeroSafaris Its funny that you correct him after putting crocodile in the title lol. And caiman is a type of alligator so even there you are wrong.
Maybe this whole nature video youtuber thing isn't really for you?
@@mirsad96 Maybe, but pulling comments from incorrect titles really seems to be strong point. Should I perhaps switch my major?
Before his next attempt, this jaguar needs to go on youtube and type in, "jaguar catches caiman"
Hit those tutorials before trying it yourself. :)
@@FiveZeroSafaris I will do that yes! I have to give this Jag a head nod for his boldness and fearlessness though. It's fascinating how animals know their own levels of competence and what they are capable of doing. Predators know what they can leverage and what they cannot, prey as well.
@@robinjackson7540 Agreed. They are seriously tuned in to what they can do, and then they do it!
"I'm not stuck here with you, you're stuck here with me!"
Classic swictheroo situation.
Whoever hunts crocodiles is really very brave
Yes, that is true.
When predator becomes pray. They were genuinely scared of the big cat. Those caiman probably seen a few caiman get eaten by big cats.
Fun fact: Even jaguar didn't know her name😂
:)
Crocodile: I am master of river
Jaguar: hold my glass ... And HH

For sure
Strongest bite force of all cats
Can do plenty damage.
jaguar failed his mission.

Too far away and sun tan joe knew the cat was there.
The most gangsta dude. Coming to crocs hood to hunt them
Take them in their own back yard. Smart play.
Is not croc Is a caiman
Strongest cat pound for pound and on top of it being fearless.
I believe that title goes to the leopard. The jaguar has the strongest bite force of all the cats.
