Holy hell I miss the Midway era. Why can't they just create original new female characters instead?
Shit, these clowns can't even create a new original story, let alone original new characters. They're still stuck on that BS multiple timelines multiverse crap.
I miss MK9.. the last one that felt like Midway style MK..I thought it encapsulated the original trilogy in a great way. but adding new twists and turns- it had great dialogue and even good emotional moments like Kabal in the story..while modernizing the gameplay just enough . MKX story and onward is like the worst writing holy shit

A character we've barely seen in the past 10 years. How come most other characters in mk1 can be freshened up without changing surface level things like race or sex then
Seems like they're copying Steet Fighter with how they swapped out Guy and Feng with female counterparts. But atleast SF didn't straight up just genderswap an already existing character

I would love for it to be the actual MK1 Sektor from the ending but if it is a female Sektor I'm sure they're just gonna say "she's from another universe" like how they gave us Janet
Pretty sure that'll be a major point of contention in the story DLC. Bi Han will refer to Sektor as "he" and Sextoy will go berserk with a "It's MA'AM" moment.

If they do that, hopefully they make the kameos playable and we can just use the real versions. Probably won’t happen tho. Kameos should’ve been an extra mode. And they could’ve added in a tag mode also.

So they actually doing it. They are gender swapping characters. That's a new low for NRS right there. And instead of doing what people asked them about and bring female characters from previous MK games, they decided to just gender swap characters to appeal to that DEI crap. As if the quality of the game was not bad enough, man. I have no words. It feels cringe just by hearing those sounds.

This is why I hate Multiverse stories. They can just ruin the "legacy" and say "they're just from another universe" Sektor is shown in Sub Zeros Ending. It should be that Sektor for the game. Why say this is Lui Kangs New Era and then not commit and use multiverse stuff. The Lore buffs like me are just straight up not having a good time.

I just bought the premium version of mortal kombat 1 on steam I'm glad I didn't pay the full 109 bucks I payed like 43 because it was on sale but when I was practicing the brutalities like for liu kang it says to hold y on my xbox controller and press down at the same time but nothing happens any help would be appreciated if cyrax and sektor are now female I don't see it in the character select screen they look the same as a male robot unless there going to change there look later and give them boobs

The last proper & real MK’s is 9 & X (trust me X is sick give it a proper chance, think of it more like a remake of 4 with the interactions they had than injustice.) Netherealm has lost their way last few games with 💩 gameplay, monetization, absolutely decimating the character lore & story of MK & all these agendas like this they are pushing. They think we are stupid & don’t see it. They were absolutely on 🔥 with their first two MK’s 9 & X but have absolutely lost their way now & I don’t think they’ll ever be a good company again. But to take iconic characters and gender swap them like this is just not needed. The more realistic mks graphics get the more "uncanny" the characters will get. Theyre not looking to make the chicks look like hot supermodels anymore. That hasnt been the focus since mk9. Its more realistic that the chicks just look like average women. NRS cares about hyperrealism, not my cup of tea, id prefer if it looked more animated but it is what it is.
Mk1 doesn't look hyperrealistic at all. It doesn't look that good really. Mk11 looks way better
