Sick, dude! The way you recorded it is so imaginative as well, it looks great. You always put so much effort into your videos, it really pays out. Keep it up!
I love that you record yourself getting to inspiration. It’s nice to see that a more established artist still needs some inspiration from other places and once in a while.
Sometimes I just can't believe how much talent you have. The amount of time and effort you put into your projects is just mindblowing, and the results always look amazing!
I can't even understand how talented you are, it's incredibly. Your vidios always have good content and are well made. Just keep doing what you do❤️❤️❤️
Hurray for printmaking!! Linocut is probably my favorite form of printing. Also quick cool tip that I use, to prevent your mounted or unmounted lino block from moving while you carve, use that non slip backing people use for placing under their rugs so they won’t slip. You can find it at any local store for pretty cheap in rolls, and it works like a charm. it helps to prevent from cutting yourself too lol👍🏼
we also have metal things that hook onto the edge of the table and have a piece that sticks up on the top to hold it in place:) wish i knew about the non slip mat😂
Also if you're struggling to cut the block, you can use a heat gun or pretty hot hairdryer to soften the linoleum! In my experience it makes it much easier to clear large areas with the gouge, but you'll probably maintain cleaner edges if you carve it cold around detail oriented parts. You also have to be consistent with your depth when the linoleum is hot, but give it a shot, its easy to get used to and immensely helpful :)
You're the kind of person that makes art school fun. The kind that likes to experiment with mediums and techniques while honing in on their style instead of trying to force it through. Really stands out in the development of your filming style as well.
Your voice is so calming, i could listen to your videos all day! Anyways you are so good at all of this stuff you do! I would try one, but i’d probably need serious help. Thanks Bye for now
You should definitely should try one! My sis said she wanted to start a channel where she just try’s all my diys but after she has gotten a bit tipsy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
In the last video I commented saying i was gonna pick up linoleum printing again but after watching the design process and the use of shades in a print I'm definitely inspired again!! Stay frosty dude 🤘🏻
Mandy Latimer I did it in high school too. I did a dragonfly but we only got one piece of Lino so we did black outlines and coloured in the blank space with watercolours
I love this so much! I have your sticker pack all over my water bottle and get compliments on it ALL THE TIME. Shamelessly plugging your channel on the daily lol.
I’d love to see how you do large scale repeating wall stencils, my daughter wants to decorate our games room. Keep up the cool vis and the laid back vibe. Lino cuts are so satisfying!
I like how informal and enjoyable the art show looks. No stuffy gallery pressure. They aren't all that exist. Thanks for the reminder. And that lino cutting close-up deserves its own ASMR video, haha 🤩
I found your channel a few months ago and I am honestly in love!!!!! You are by far the best art channel I’ve found and I always look forward to your next video. Love the hand print!!! Kudos❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’ve been watching your channel for a while and it calms me down while I’m having anxiety attacks. I love your editing and art style. I started getting back into crafting because of you lol. Keep up the good work~
perfect timing with this, as I'm starting to get back into print making. I love how you just give it a go and see what happens :) Thanks for being the best inspo xoxoox
I really like your style of making videos, the editing, the relaxing tone they have. It's like everything is in the right position in the right time, I enjoy them every time! Keep it up!
Love that you do something just two or three times and it looks like you've done nothing else your entire time! :D PS: the cutting scenes are just aesthetics
dont worry its not just you, ive seen pro artists go to stupid lengths in order to hide the hands XD read a comic once were it was painfully obvious, but it REALLY sank in when he was drawing in a random houseplant to cover both hands. drawing hands SUUUUUUUUUUUCK
wow you’re actually staying consistent with your schedule haha. keep up the great work as always. also I hope your finger heals up quickly bc that stab looked painful
I did prints like that once in highscool, definitely didn't appreciate it enough back then! It's not as easy anymore to get and store all the materials needed as a student now
Honestly I’m so in love with this print! 😍 you’re so talented and wow you deserve so many more subscribers! Good luck to everyone entering the giveaway! ❤️💋
I haven't done printing since design 1 at SLCC... but these last two videos made me really want to print again! And, I can't believe I missed the art show.
I really loved how the hand turned out. It's in a style that i pretty much will always like. While watching this got reminded that I actually have stampmmaking stuff.
Hopefully you get to see this one day but I just wanted to say that you are an insanely creative and talented human being and since I can’t really show who i truly am because of my life and who’s in it, seeing you create such wonderful and amazing art makes me feel that one day when I finally have the freedom to become myself, I will have your videos to revisit and use for inspiration. So thank you so much for being the person you are today and I hope you continue making fantastic art that fills my mind with wonder and excitement for all things cool and unique. Peace and happiness, S.
I just started to mess around with block printing recently, this video along with the first one have been super helpful. I like how simple and easy to follow your tutorials are. Thanks!!
Shmoxd sometimes simple is better! I do have a question though- do the lino carving tools get dull at all and if so, is there a way to sharpen them? I’m kind of a noob still 😝 thanks again!!
Dope!! My favorite part of your videos is how you document the setbacks and mistakes we all make when trying new things. You definitely inspire me, and I'm sure others, to keep going and be patient with the process. Thanks for that!
I admire your patience for these projects. They come out so cool and I wish I did have that type of patience. I've been watching for a while and finally remembered to subscribe and support your work.
Watched Drew and found YOU. Wow, you tackle all sorts of time consuming projects and make it look effortless..... Great stuff. If only I had the time in my life to spend experimenting and producing stuff. Maybe if I stopped watching so many RUclipss, I'd find the time. Thanks, I'm a new fan!
I’ve been getting into linocuts lately, I had to do about 16 2x3 designs in two days for a book I made. They were all only outlines though because I just couldn’t figure out how to make second stamps with a flat color in the same exact shape. Thanks for this, super helpful and super inspirational for future designs!
I’m absolutely loving this video series! I’m an aspiring printmaker and love finding more people who do it! Also the way you set up the paper for the multi block prints is super cool, I’m gonna have to try that! Definitely much easier than registration marks :’)
Wow- so creative and love that you acknowledging your friends and their art as well. I can see you are loving life and your craft. That hand was a time consuming and awesome finished piece! Thank you for sharing all the different ways it came together.
I did a linoleum block print like this in an art high school class but we started with the full thing and made multiple prints at a time and just kept cutting from the same block. I did an owl and it turned out pretty good I guess for a high school art project. My grandma has one of the prints somewhere.
I like the way you did the red and then the pink - I was kinda confused at first, thinking it wouldn't show up, but it looks so much more natural and makes the colors go so well together!
Listen I can't start a new hobby every single time I watch one of your videos!!!!
hahahahah... sry...
Same xD
Shmoxd lol
Honestly how I feel

“So I actually have a handful of these, I’m gonna be giving away...”

I bet those would work better than the glue dots I used as well!:)
we also have metal things that hook onto the edge of the table and have a piece that sticks up on the top to hold it in place:) wish i knew about the non slip mat😂

Cole Thornton we would put ours on the heat register at school to warm them up😂😂
I've made the hand ring, the ear sleeve, and the other rings, and now I'm gonna make this. Thank you Shmoxd!!
