I remember as a little kid I was depressed when they came out for the "STEEL WHEELS TOUR" and MAD MAGAZINE mocked them as old geezers whom were retiring. 30+ years now and I have seen them 8x and they only get better and better on stage.
It is incredible how much joy they have performing. A lot more then when they were real young

Everything our generation spoke about losing the type of music we grew up with is related to mortality. We are all getting old just like the Rolling Stones and so many other groups. Many have passed away in the last 10 years and for all of us this is a rude awakening that we're not going to live that much longer either.💯 Therefore I think that's what we're all fixated on hanging on to these groups that we listened to throughout our teenage years✨ our 20s n 30s They were part of us just as much as we were part of them.🌟 It does sadden me to think that one day we won't be able to go to a concert and see so many amazing artists perform anymore for they will no longer be on this Earth. I just hope that there are young artist trying to reclaim the titles of those that we adored labeled as 👑 labeled as just the greatest era of music that ever was 💯🎶💯🎶

It went from folk, to jazz, to hard Rock and roll, to country rock, to soloists like Johnny Mathis. I could go on and on with the immense amount of music that was streaming through the 60s 70s 80s and I did not mean that my parents generation was the greatest generation. That was not my point. 💯💯 My point was the music in those decades was so great because you had your pic of what you wanted to hear 🌹 that's all!! I love you too because you get to express your opinions about music which is so so important to me as is one of my vessels that releases my emotions and feelings and for me it's very therapeutic. For now we're all in our 60s or better n I was just listening to Eric Clapton one of the greatest guitarists that was ever placed on this Earth doing a homage to George Harrison another phenomenal musician and brilliant man.🎶✨🎶 So I am not comparing the two 💔one topic is about military men and the ones I'm talking about are musicians that healed the soul and the mind🙏 I just wanted to put clarity into what my passage is about as well as the message I'm sending out to those that care to read it. Young man I have been to so many concerts I even watched on TV yesterday the Eagles live and boy were they a phenomenal group as well unfortunately one of the members died several years ago again death and it's scary these groups are slowly dying due to old age. That's really all I was trying to get across is that I lived it maybe you didn't but I lived it🌎 I was at those concerts I bought those albums and for me growing up in my twenties my 30s my 40s and my fifties I needed that music to survive because there was a lot of stuff going down during those years such as the Vietnam war💯 problems in our government 🌹segregation and music was the universal healer. That's all I'm trying to say it was great music for the 1.2 baby boomers that were born from 1945 through 1962. All of us went to Woodstock all of us were United by simply one thing outstanding wonderful motivated music 🎶🎶🌹 God bless 🌎🙏🌎

@@dorothykuveke1217 I AM comparing the "two greatest generations," the first (who came together to defeat fascism) and the second (who destroyed "Norman," "Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini" and "Big John"). I'm talking late 50's (Little Richard, Chuck Berry) through early 70's, after which rock music (like jazz in the 50's) splayed off into every direction and lost a lot of the magic and, esp., innovation. Then came disco, MTV, and you know the rest.
My dad navigated B-17s over Belgium, France and Germany, earned his Silver Star & Distinguished Flying Cross (and two oak leaf clusters) and had nightmares for much of the rest of his life.

Maybe another time we'll talk about world war II as my father also had tremors where he couldn't sleep at night for years and my mother would have to help him along with the seven children that they had. Naw they've adapted. Carolyn why don't you sprint 60 yards and see how that works out for you. They have gotten better over the years. They still pack the place everwhere they play. And when they bow and leave the stage everyone are on their feet cheering their heads off. They can still do it. Saw them in Tampa for 9th time

He's been doing things like this lately, even falling down on stage, it's time they left it alone now , without Bill and Charlie it's no longer the Stones . The new drummer don't look right behind them plus he's too heavy handed, Darryl Jones is just a bore and non-entity.

      You can be a kid.
Just ridiculous with such sadass comments; lads have just finished the best tour since 2003 - blast-full of energy, in certain aspects best since the 70s. Keith has for sure made some serious fvckups (I have heard absout 85-90% of all live tour material) but what you are stating has nothing in common with reality. Darryl is a bore on stage but so was Bill too.
