Here here! This is the first comment I’ve written in 30yrs of internet use. Black and Blue is so underrated. Every track is gold
It's my favorite Stones album by quite a margin. Not a stinker to be found.
Love, Hey! Negrita😊
For me, I quite like Sticky Fingers Exile on Main Street, and Tattoo You....
Every track is gold???? So you love Melody and Cherry Baby😂😂😂😂😂
@@flyingburritobro68 Those song are fucking gems. Album is not underrated, we all love it.
RIP charlie watts 💕 legendary rolling stones ❣️
Charlie Watts on drums. Thank you man. RIP.
Amen!
yea, totally incredible groove
Charlie watts is the stones !
I love em all but mick can steel run around em all!
I had a chance to see the stones in 15 w/ mr wang dang doodle -charlie watts
Miss you, Charlie! 🙏
Charlie was a classy man. 🙌🏼♥️☮️
No one can deny the grove from The Rolling Stones , feels good .
A lot of critics and fans panned Black and Blue. For my momey, it's one of my favorite Stones albums, great blues, funk, rock, amd soul. Hot stuff.
Agreed! The title coupled with the cover was a bit much for folks but the jams are excellent!
We know much better - it's superb, pure stones groove and shows, as you note, they can do it all
The only thing douchier and more pretentious than the critics in the 70's were the critics in the 80's.
Agree, Black and Blue sort of grew on me too 👍
Plus you got to hear them trying out guitarists like Harvey Mandel & Wayne Perkins before settling on the fantastic Mr Wood.
This is a really great version, unexpected trumpet solo, Charlie so swinging I want to cry, Mick quoting James Brown in a nice variation from the original, too bad it didn't make it live or to the Four Flicks box set. With Ron playing Harvey Mandel. Love it.
Great attention to detail John!!
Where is the steady, funk rythym guitar part coming from? It's not Keith or Ron.
@@larryn2682 The wah is Ron. Keith is not playing the lead riff the way he did on the original . More fills. Don't know if it is his arthritis or what.
@@larryn2682 Was Blondie Chaplin on this tour? He's played some guitar in the background on occasion. I was wondering the same thing.
@@hankstevens4194 just acoustic i think.
Their rehearsals are better than most musicians today.
You do not know their rehearsals - in present time. Without Charlie and with Keith 80 not 60.

Very cool Stones song. Just one of the many examples of their versatility.
Another one of their great 70’s grooves. Lots of texture in the studio recording. Keith and Ron on Strats, with smokin horns behind? That’s some Hot Stuff! ❤️🔥
muy caliente, mi amigo
Liked this version a lot. Incredible sound and groove. That song blends different styles: funky, soul, jazz, rock, disco...The trumpet solo sounds fantastic!!!!!
great guitar work from Ron Wood here!
Literally the music of my life. The Stones first album 1964 the year of my birth, they are still going and so am I. The greatest rock 'n' Roll band in the world! ✌❤
Every guitar player knew, it is easy to cover, but it‘s not easy to create a groove the first time. Great riffs
Man, I could listen to their instrumentals for hours. Just the instrumentals. They just have it all!!
Cool. Nice to see Charlie, all happy and cool. Thanks!
😊
It’s always brilliant fun to watch musicians get into a groove, over a minute or so. This a perfect example of a.. grow into the groove.. and then take it all out and back.
Excellent observations!!👍
Man,this one really grooves❤
This was my wedding song
Great drummer Charlie Watts!I will never forget you.
Love this version .❤ Jaggers look beautiful
boy they sound great.

Ronnie...
Ah, the great Charlie Watts. What a void he has left.
Is anything cooler. These guys may go on forever.
Love Black and blue 🖤💙... Saw them on Black and blue tour 76 in Zagreb.. Hot Stuff 🔥🔥🔥🔥... Thanks Gerry, amazing video 🔥🔥🔥👌💯👋👋👋
Really??? I m jealous!!!
Black and Blue is the most un-Stones-like Rolling Stones album, but I like it. The song "Melody" is a particular standout.
Their last great album

This looks like rehearsal for one of their "pop-up" shows they'd do before heading out for a full tour...
Charlie Watts....what a great and humble drummer he was. ❤
"Hey Negrita" was quite funky too.
Charles Watts was a Monster in Drum ! Swing and Felling !

The body of amazing albums and hits from the Stones is mind-blowing. Through the Past Darkly, Exile On Main Street, Sticky Fingers, Goats Head Soup, Voodoo Lounge, Some Girls ,Hot Rocks, to name a few. Angie is my favourite as it's my sister's name and a brilliant song.👍
Stones,thank you for everything
Black and Blue, verry cool Album
Good morning, all thanks, Charlie
The Rolling Stones, superiores

Wow I just realized that mick has great muscle tone.his shape looks more buff than when he was younger .maybe the band found the fountain of youth they seem like their getting younger more than older.love this song among many of their other songs.my hat is tipped off to you brother dj gerry

Increíble!
My sister brought this album home on vinyl the week it came out I was just 12 but hit me hard right away and has always been one of my favs! First official album with Ronnie and such a diverse array of musical styles
Black and Blue is a amazing album. Why not anniversary album like tattoo you....????🍷🎸🎶, cheers from Bordeaux
Stones forever,,,,he tenido la oportunidad de verlos 5 veces en concierto y no me canso,,tanto es así que tengo una entrada de su Urban jungle sin usar,,un colega no pudo ir y se la compré,,y queda para mi chico durante muchos años
Don't recall seeing Keith playing a strat too often, nice
Hmm I thought Keith played nothing but a Strat. So what does he usually play? I don't remember seeing him play a Gibby, so not sure what else it would be.
@@TimothyBruneau telecaster I'd say predominately but have seen him use those old 50s style hollow body electrics alot too, and the odd Gibson
I think this is the one Billy Gibbons gave him.
@@keefriftaird8580 interesting, good pal to have I reckon then
@TimothyBruneau ...seen him use it once ...can't remember the concert ...
the hot stuff needed a water bottle to put the fire out
Charlie! this is great
