I think you're right. IMHO, the sentiment also applies to a number of other bands. However, much as contemporary music as performed by various teenage "pop stars" receives significant and often valid criticism, there are up and coming musicians out there. They can play their instruments. Give them a few years and, no, they won't be like the Stones, but hopefully they'll be as impressive in a related (or completely different) style, and valued just as much by younger generations.

I’m 20 years old and saw them live for the first time about 2 years ago for my birthday. My parents and I bought general admission tickets, got to our seats and by pure luck, the security guard upgraded our seats. Was extremely fortunate enough to have seen Charlie’s singer front row and also be right in front of Keith. I’ll never forget it. Greatest rock and roll band ever, and the greatest band ever (along with the Beatles, the who, and Zep) always!

It's about the music. In the beginning there's nothing else. There's no money, no fans, no business people, no lawyer...just music, but some bands get all of that and then some, but at the end of the day, it still just goes back to the music,. This video proves that. These are world famous multi-millionaires, and they heard Mick playing and they just joined in. This was beautiful.
