Thank u ..one of my fave Stones songs 2000...Had yhe song in THE JUKE box ...In the pizza Joint I work in in C.T.Early 90S. ..Stone played at Toads place in New Haven...Under a Pseudonym ..un announced..Epic ..hadda shut down the streets. ..prob 89 or so😊
at the age of 9 I was given a Rolling Stones album for my Birthday, that was in 1967, got to see them live for the 1st time in 1975, I have been to see them in the states, Canada, and over the pond, for a total of 52 times, they are the greatest Rock- N Roll band in the World.
I saw the ‘75 Tour of the America’s. I was 15. I was by that time obsessed with Git yer ya ya’s out, and while the show I saw didn’t match up (no Mick Taylor, Ronnie still a newbie Stone), it was The Stones Live, man. The next day, Keith and Ronnie experienced rural Arkansas (see chapter one of Life).
Your Stones documentaries rock. I luv them. I listen to as many as I possibly can & I appreciate the time & effort that you must have endured to produce them. Seriously, thank you so much as I have been a true Stones fanatic my entire life since first hearing them in 1964. Keep up the excellent work. Cheers.
I love this raw and gritty look into the life of the Glimmer Twins. They are showing real sides of both of them. They are showing the real authentic relationship between the two of them. They really had their share ups and downs. When things were good they were good, but when they were bad they were outrageous. They brought out the best and the worst in each other. They were brothers as well as bandmates. They had a relationship that was too close for comfort, they knew each other too well. They knew how to push each others buttons emotionally, mentally. They knew what each one loved about each other as well as hated about each other. They also pushed each other creative wise as well. They drew something out of each other that most songwriting duos can't even attempt to do.
So great! Thanks for putting in that legendary quote from Keef to the judge. Lots of facts I was shocked I didn’t already know. That Bowie quote at the end was just…🤌chef’s kiss!
This is very cool. Some great clips and photos I hadn’t seen before. I really wish there were more of Mick and Keith walking thru the woods where Keith is wearing a very colourful jacket that looks like it has John Lennon on the back. It’s a very short but awesome clip. I’ve never seen that jacket which surprises me. I would welcome any additional info on that clip and jacket
Another concise and we'll done film. I'd be curious as to how you might present something on the rise and fall of close Stones associate Gram Parsons, who lived at Nelcotte during part of the Exile session. Gram remains a real enigma and I'm a huge fan. Keep up the great work, sir.
There's an amazing number of good biographies about Gram. There were signs of deep personal problems even in his teens, despite his charisma and popularity. Some feel he could never understand or cope with the suicide of his father, leaving him vulnerable to substance abuse. I try to think of the joy he had in his life and his music. 🤠⭐
To have lived the life the way they did and still be alive today is remarkable.all that excess being placed upon you tells us how fortunate the group has been. They say only the strong survive and in this case that holds water.
I can't believe Keith & Mick are still performing at 80 years old. Too bad Brian Jones, Ian Stewart, Bobby Keys, Billy Preston, Anita Pallenberg, Charlie Watts are dead.
The Old Grey Whistle Test interview was incredibly good. As high as he appeared to be, he still managed to coma across as extremely intelligent and articulate.
Their Real Turbulent year's were from 1983-1988 after they were told they would be inducted to rock-'n'-roll hall of fame, Mick called keith& told him he'd written some songs, Keith in turn told Mick that he also written some songs& both of them came up with Steel Wheels.. 😊
The most turbulent years of the Rolling Stones were in the 1980s. Mick was sick to death of the Stones (or more accurately, Keith's drug habit) and started performing solo in an effort to ditch them. EDIT: A flammable vapour between Mick and Keith existed for many years, but Mick lit the fuse in 1982 when the Rolling Stones signed a new deal with CBS reportedly worth $28 million dollars, one of the most lucrative deals signed in history. Unknown to the other members of the band was that the pact included a solo deal for himself. Keith took a keener interest in the band's affairs after that, much to Mick's annoyance, further increasing the friction between them. For a number of years, it looked as if it was the end of the Rolling Stones, especially when Keith started soloing.
@andrewbowen6875 I'm from Detroit (blow the reveille)! Well, there's the story of Jagger OD'ing & being taken to the hospital by Peter Wolf. Allegedly, he was turning *blue.* That's important cuz coke (or meth) makes you turn red. Heroin (& barbiturates) make you blue. The thing about barbs is; You have to really screw up to take too many. Scag is more of a crap-shoot. If this happened; It happened in the mid-'70s. Cuz Faye Dunaway was part of the story as well. Peace. Stay Healthy! - Dave B.
The Kelly movie starring Jagger, was a reasonable telling of the Kelly sovereign tale ,Jagger's rendition of the wild colonial boy is the movie's high point of justice
Everyone talks about Satanic Magesties (and for that matter Between The Buttons) failing but I love those albums. The blues rock stuff is great too, but its a big tent ya know?
So glad Keith was able to sort himself out and become strong again, addiction is a powerful force. His little boy Marlon, is adorable here. Thank you for this, sad but informative and a tale of caution.
Recemntly, KEEFER said last final vice he ditched were……Ciggies! The human Riff! Let’s all cheers on for KEEF clear headed completely over all of the lot! Proud of you Mate❤!😊😊😊
OMG! How ridiculous those drug laws were/are for Heaven’s sake. It all should have legal anyway, in my humble opinion. They were so young when they hit it big…hard to handle the fame.
This was post WWII Britain, drugs were not big on the scene at first & few could afford them. Having seen the negative side of drugs, I disagree that they should be legalised, as a working musician I saw many talented people lose their grip on reality, or go to an early grave. A young, handsome/beautiful corpse is a look few desire, nor is a drug ravaged one.
Many factors contributed to the tragedy of Altamont, not the least being hiring The Hells Angels as security 😵💫 I know lots of fans revere Brian Jones and Mick Taylor but for me Ronnie Wood is 100% a Stone!!!
I’d like to add that when William S. Burroughs was in Tangiers he also recorded joujouka musicians. Then lived in London. i do wonder if Brian got the idea off him.

Lucky bastards
@@hanssolosiento Hahaha 👍😊
I'm depressed at I had a ticket once to see them ..they cancelled that one show 😢
I originally read that as at the age of 91
A minor miracle they're both still with us.

Fabulous stuff. I learned a lot about the back-stories of Keith and Mick. Great work , thank you so very much.
Glad you enjoyed it.

Remember the scandal about Jagger waking up with fluff muffin David Bowie? lol
Love Bowie!! 😅
You made a great anthology of the stones my friend, your narration was top notch.

I dont know too much about it tbh. He or mick was wearing it an the all you need is love live broadcast too.Have a look its on youtube.
They were doing Real acid at the time.
these mini documentaries are GREAT! I subbed.
Thank you
The Glimmer Twins are truly amazing Rock Legends!
Keith also posted how much he loves Mick and wished him happy 80th now that shows how friendships can stand the test of time and struggles.

Have you seen Gram Parsons: Fallen Angel? It’s pretty informative, came out around 2006 if memory serves.
I doubt there was that much actual excess except for Keith getting strung out on the gear, Jagger way too smart for that.
Many liver transplants later, Keith's still going at it. Perhaps the tattooed eyeliner helps.
I can't believe Keith & Mick are still performing at 80 years old. Too bad Brian Jones, Ian Stewart, Bobby Keys, Billy Preston, Anita Pallenberg, Charlie Watts are dead.
THANK you so much For SHARING 👉💯 Best Band in the World ever
No doubt!
You make a solid video mate. More stones please, loads of stories
yeah ill do another stones one soon
The Old Grey Whistle Test interview was incredibly good. As high as he appeared to be, he still managed to coma across as extremely intelligent and articulate.
Where did you get all the footage from? That's a real treat!
Please do more Stones videos! Really enjoyed this… thank you!
You do great work man.. love it all
Thank you. Very kind
Fantastic mate!
More Stones videos please 🙏
Now that they're old, they still have NO worries about those "petty morals" Keith spoke of. lol
Kee on going you all are fantastic
Will do. Good to see people enjoy them
The glimmer twins they were known as back in my youth, Tyler and Perry were called the toxic twins back in the day.
One of the best bands ever
I love the fact that reissues of Beggars Banquet feature the dirty bog cover. 😂
This is magical
Very kind
Imagine how less popular the Stone's woulda been if his name was Dick Jagger.
Thanks for watching
Or even Jick Magger

Can you believe that allowing your house for using cannabis, what a bunch of bullshit, they should apologize to him publicly, aloha
I liked Micks solo career
All brothers argue at times.
Please please please do a series on The KinKs.

Satanic Majesty’s remains my favorite Rolling Stones release, by a large margin.
I loved that they owned a newsagent on Stella Street.
Rip 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Bryan
Only when a artist is at rock bottom the best art comes out. These guys wrote some of the best music on the edge of death. That’s the paradox of art
yes, bowie’s berlin era is a perfect example of this!
I think Mick has been into heroin at some point since Jerry Hall spoke about how well he did to give it up.
Never Knew that! Thanks for the comment

Yeah I remember her saying he had tremendous will power and just stopped using smack just like that.
Great story.
Glad you enjoyed it!
The Kelly movie starring Jagger, was a reasonable telling of the Kelly sovereign tale ,Jagger's rendition of the wild colonial boy is the movie's high point of justice
Turbulent years all right
that kind of fame would of killed me kieth is a warrior for making it threw that omg
Were there years where Keith and Mick were harmonious???
Respect for stealing French national rail’s electricity.
Makes me like Exile even more
Es gibt den Himmel , es gibt das Meer . Vielleicht auch Gott . Aber It's only Rock & Roll gibt es immer .
Keith was to real for psychedelia..
The BRIAN jONES bLUESBAND
❤
0:17 60 more years!
best
yup
Linda Keith..??!?
WhuuuuuutafuckinFoxxx!!!!
No Jones no Stones
Everyone talks about Satanic Magesties (and for that matter Between The Buttons) failing but I love those albums. The blues rock stuff is great too, but its a big tent ya know?
👍👍
Hells Angles are garbage. On a good day.
That RS's glamorized them speaks of their culture at that time- like "Dancing with Mr. D..."
They were recommended for security by The Grateful Dead.
I make no comment on their personal habits - Satyricon
thanks for watching
What is burn sauce?
Brown sauce is a condiment. Tastes like worcester sauce.
Was the voice-over even born in 60s 70s.I think not. (I am 69)
Thanks for watching
Agree, disagree, agree to disagree😉
I love their music but John Lennon was right, they copied a lot of the Beatles stuff. The Beatles were the trailblazers.
Yeah, right. And then they got tired of blazing the trail and fell apart.
you sound jealous
Thanks for watching
So glad Keith was able to sort himself out and become strong again, addiction is a powerful force.

@@filmretrospective5334I agree well done from a RS CRITIC” 🇬🇧🫶🔮 great band live only saw them on Steel Wheels Tour .
This appears to be the most raw and honest expression of the Rolling Stones I’ve ever seen. Congratulations!
Thats a great complimet thanks
@@filmretrospective5334 i do love to pass praise where it's due!!! thankU!
Keith's autobiography "LIFE" for his amazing account of these times...... 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😎😎✌✌
Will get as soon as can!
I loved Ned Kelly...
That Bowie clip at the end was a funny finishing touch.
After the drug raid the Stones became heroes; not so for teenager Marianne Faithfull who was the one blamed.
Thanks for watching
Yea, typical…

Definitely sounds turblulent as hell
For every hit Mick and Keith wrote, John and Paul wrote 5 …
That summarizes it, doesn’t it ?
For every ROCK and ROLL song the Stones wrote - John and Paul wrote a Pop Hit. Even the Stones hits are ROCKERS. Beatles have a couple of Rockers.
I like kids songs too, but really do prefer Mick's n Keef's songwriting.
Like the Beatle’s but Love the Stones, want some Roll with the Rock
I don't think your numbers are correct. I have much respect for both the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.
You're a pathetic human being if this is how you look at things 😂
your doing it ok keep going mate
Their Satanic Majesty’s Request is my favorite stones album.
Flowers, Between the Buttons.
The Stones psych period is incredible.
Today the teens have blocked out the Rolling Stones personal antics as stupidity
The stones are pure rock n roll. It’s a very hard lifestyle
Awesome video man keep it up
Thanks! Will do!
Don't you people get sick of their constant cigarette smoking? What a bunch of vicious guys.
Other incredible songs by the Stones. Happy Hand of Fate All down the Line and many many more.
the stage was too low at altamont
The Stones without turbulences (very mildly put) would not be the Stones ❤.
Great retrospective of that period!
J'ai toujours aimé Keith Richards, il est un vrai gentil et un vrai artiste
they really were opportunists and plagiarists and rotten
Thanks for watching
Like Pleb Zepplin
This is really good! A lot of footage I've never seen of the Stones! You do a really good job! Thank you!

15:50 oh wow Keith really did inspire Jack Sparrow
Bowie on the end is awesome
Where is the footage from?
Succinct and accurate.
Good Film, good editing and use of footage
