I look forward to your thoughts on the QoR watercolors. They are my absolute favs. I do a lot of abstract and their unpredictable explosions of color work well for my style. I find they rewet better than most. Colors such as veridian and cobalt teal take a little more effort as is common in most brands.

I like Golden as a brand. There is one major problem all there products are so expensive here in Australia. I know a couple of artists that do use them because of their flow but they don't always mix well with other watercolours. I think there are other brands that have not only better colours but more importantly majorly better prices. Yes I have imported from the UK to get brand's which are extremely hard to get here. I wish I could import from the USA but the postage prices are just ridiculous.

Honestly, I don't think the QOR line is all the special . They are good quality and yes the flow is great but you don't always want that much flow as I will demonstrate in my review. Additionally you can always use oxgall or gum arabic solution with your current watercolors to improve the flow if you wish .

Beautiful haul I adore the qor paints I have several sets! My Michaels treats their high end supplies like garbage it’s covered in dust in the store and sometimes even on the floor so I have not purchased anything from them in about a year

Good to know it's not just my Michael's! And the art section is always vandalized in my store. Paint tubes open , brushes destroyed . So sad .

Great video. Looks like I need some really small brushes😀 I have some golden fluids that I was using for some pours, but now I have a new path to wander. Never thought about acrylic detail since I'm basically a watercolor person. Do you have a specific video that showcases the fluids for detail? Heading to look now. Thank you for sharing your work and enthusiasm.

I don't yet have a video on the fluids but I will very soon. I'm telling you they have no brush drag at all and one tiny drop is all that's needed . Goes a super long was and makes details easy . They just flow right off the brush . I'll also be comparing them to the high flow when I do that video .

Such a great haul! I love Qor watercolors, i have almost the entire line and i dont notice any issues with rewetting- i find they rewet similar to any other non honey based watercolors like Daniel Smith and Winsor and Newton but i also drop some water on all my pans im going to paint with beforehand- so i dont really ever notice any of my pro grade paints struggling to rewet...Itd be fun to see you do the watercolor review first. Great video, thanks for sharing and much ❤

Thank you very much . I have filmed my review and I agree they rewet fine although mine struggled at first when I first put them out but then after they dried the issue seemed to resolve itself. Strange. But I do like them fine 🙂

The issue with Michaels is that their stores are open to the public, who can come and go freely and mess around with the products. It's especially annoying when half of the watercolor brushes in stock have splayed bristles.

It's very frustrating the brushes are like that or already have paint on them . Hardened and destroyed. The kids squeeze the paint tubes and waste paint . Some of that paints cadmium and toxic and the kids should not be touching it at all . But the parents don't do anything to control their children nowadays. I've gone in several art stores locally over the years some privately owned and some big chains like hobby lobby or acmoore, and the destruction to the art supplies is never like it is at Michael's. And all those places are open to the public too. It just doesn't seem that Michaels has any respect for the art supplies at all. At least my local one. The paint tubes are burst, dented and the brushes are damaged before they even reach the aisle for stocking. I'm convinced they should put a lock on the art aisle so that children and teenagers can't vandalize it anymore. It's an ongoing issue at Michaels and they do nothing about it.
