Yes, I'd like to see a review on the 60 set of Albrect Durer watercolor pencils. I have the 24 set in the Magnus version and have been debating about getting the 36 or 60 set in the standard size.

Thanks for watching 🙂 I will do a video and I have already added the swatches to my lightfast testing. Just to see if the claims are accurate. How are the M. Versions ? Do you find them useful for large areas only or can you detail ?

@@nicolemartinart5819 Yes, they're great for larger areas. They are a bit too thick to get in to small areas, but I just put some color down on my Caran d'ache pallette and use a fine watercolor brush (Spotter brush) to get in to tight spaces. I prefer using a regular watercolor brush, than using a resevoir water brush. I have more control for the amount of water I'm laying down and I don't have to keep dabbing up excess water like I do from a resevoir water brush.

@@cheryl6716 thanks for the info . Oh I agree with you completely about those water brushes . I have never found one I liked . They all leak too much water . So , I carry collapsible brushes and 2 small jars of water when I go out painting . For me its worth it even though they take up more space. I'll bet a set of these pencils would also be a great travel option ( perhaps not the full set lol )

I think the Matte pencils are to get those dark values without the shine. The 9000's are for the lighter values. I love both of them.

They do advertise the Pitt matte pencils as a medium to be used for an entire finished drawing but I agree with you that they are best used as you described ( combined) I have to be honest I think faber Castell is cheating a little with their Matt graphite . I don't think that these are purely graphite, particularly the darker values. I think they are a hybrid between graphite and colored pencils . They feel waxy ( unlike any graphite I've ever purchased) and there is definitely some black pigment in the formula .
