  • Finally uploaded my first art haul video. I filmed it almost exactly a month ago and it took me that long to edit everything and find strength to upload it to youtube. In this art haul I am unpacking my new art supplies and books I bought during my trip to London in October 2022.
    Some of the brands featured in this art haul are:
    - Stillman and Birn;
    - Blackwing;
    - QoR watercolour;
    - Daniel Smith;
    - Caran d'Ache;
    - Moleskine;
    and others

    Elizaveta, you bought so many nice art items I had not seen before. I love the 1980s paints. We have Gansai paints but not in themes. So nice for you to buy your replacements and treats for you.

      thank you very much!! Have you tried gansai paints? If yes, do you like them? It's funny because I still haven't tried mine hahaha I want to swatch them on camera too:)

      @@ElizavetaSmirnovaArt I have tried them..I have a medium set. I also have other Japanese style paints I like,, you should try Boku-undo it is very interesting paint with semi-e ink. Its very cheap to buy from Amazon. I don't know where you are located but Artemiranda is located in Spain and they have quality art things too. Shipping is super fast. I use them and I live in the US. Watercolors there are cheaper in open stock. Also if you are open I would like to do an art swatch. Let me know if you are interested. P.S. What is the name of your favorite sketchbook the big blue one you have not the ones you bought. Maria

    I just got the 100 Caran Dache pencils. I tried not to and started off with a set of twelve. I had already used several of them up so knew I loved them and just went for it. I think you will understand now😂

    Beautiful supplies- thank you for sharing. Do you notice any difference in performance with the black wing pencils? I’ve alwAys wanted to try them but I’ve only seen them sold in box sets.
    The pumpkin card is beautiful. I buy my mom cards from Paula skene- they are so worth it!

    • @ElizavetaSmirnovaArt
      @ElizavetaSmirnovaArt  Год назад

      oh yes! The card is amazing!! I think I saw a lot of different cards in different places from this card maker - is this a popular brand?
      About Blackwing - the main difference is that they are very smooth and soft. If you buy their softest pencil for example (matte), it can go from very light to extremely dark very easily - which means that you can easily achieve different values with just one pencil. It's easy to control it too. The matte pencil is what artists and illustrators who do graphite sketches usually prefer. I also love their extra firm pencil for doing sketches for watercolour. It's a bit firmer but still very soft and smooth. I know they sell an introductory set on their website where you get 1 pencil of each core - so you can try all of them and make up your mind.

      To be honest it’s just a random simple pencil pouch that I bought in my local art store - it doesn’t even have a brand it seems
