Hi Dan. The Langdales is an amazing place. The spot where I camped on the Pike of Stickle was the best. It’ll only fit one tent but there are a few other pitches dotted about if you’re going with anyone else. All the best mate. 👍
Nice one Steve. Really enjoyed it. That was a big walk you did there. Truly stunning conditions, once in a lifetime stuff. Can I suggest you get some slip on spikes for your boots. A fall in those conditions with a heavy pack on your back would not be great at all. ATB pal 👍
Cheers for watching Dave. That means a lot mate 👍 Great advice. Yeah, I literally ordered a pair about a day after getting back. It was a really tricky descent of Harrison Stickle that would have been a hell of a lot less tricky with some spikes on. I stumbled over your channel just under a year ago. Until then I’d never even heard of wild camping on mountains. Since then it’s all I think about mate 🤣 cheers for inspiring me enough to get stuck in. ATB mate 🙏
@@belowaveragewildcamper hopefully out again soon pal. Had a busy few months and the weather hasn’t helped at times. Got my eyes fixed on the forecast now though. Great vid again mate 👍🏼
I've seen all the so called top boys and enjoyed , but I must day this is one of the best if not the best I've seen. Keep up the good work, keep your feet on the ground and stay the fella that you are, looking forward to the next one, we love the lakes , especially Langdale.👍👍👍👍👍
Wow, Keith that means a lot. Thank you so much 🙏 Only my tenth video, and to be fair, I’m still learning as I go about 1. Wild camping, and 2. Videography, so thank you very much. Yeah, I can’t get over The Lakes. It feels like one big adventure play ground to me. ATB Keith, and have a great weekend 👍
Subd. You weren't wrong. What an awesome day. Those views over towards Old Man and Bowfel. Stunning. Great pitch. Closest I've been is on I'll crag in the cold. ( See film 🤪) An awesome area for sure . Keep it up. See you on the hill 👍
Just come across this video and WOW - did you hit lucky or what?? Absolutely loved the video, filmed in one of the most spectacular parts of the lakes. Been lucky enough myself to see a few inversions and had clear, crisp nights like that but have to say that day takes some beating. Well done anyway on your first winter wild camp - will be keen to see how your next one compares 😜
Havent been up there for years but Harrisons Stickle was always one of my favourite places in the lakes ... but, you know, in the Summer :D Stunning to see it in Winter. Many Thanks
Excellent bud, keep at it and keep up the good work. I've been wild camping since 2017 and you got just about some of the best lake district weather and footage I've ever seen. I've been thinking about starting a channel myself and you're inspiring me to give it a go! Great job bud.
Now is one of the best Xmas run up wild camps I have seen! That cloud Inversion was so surreal. The tent stands out so well in that landscape and I definitely think you made the right choice with the colour. It was a great watch!
Blinkin Eck. I can only reiterate what others have said. Utterly amazing video amidst utterly stunning conditions. Days to die for. I had similar conditions last year on Beinn Fionnlaidh in Scotland and didn't stop telling folk about it for weeks. Such days help to make up for all the rubbish stuff going on in life 🙂.
Some of the most clear, crisp, amazing landscape scenery I've seen in all of the camping videos I've watched! Great video and fantastic job capturing the scenery!

Well done interesting watching someone just starting out I am thinking of doing a wild camp so encouraged by what you have done I would imagine it's life affirming and amazing for mental health
Hi Mark. As you said, I only started in August and I feel I have made some big strides in that time. I can’t think of a better way of sorting the old ‘noggin’ out. If you’re thinking of giving it a go, my advice is do it. Just keep it simple and easy to start with. ATB mate, and thanks for watching and leaving a comment 🙏.

Great day out. DO use your poles on the way down. They will give you years more use into later years. My knees have started to go (I'm 66). I'd do less mile's on a heavy pack and get it as light as you can. Give yourself more time to pitch. Get yourself some micro spikes. I recommend Kahtoola. Very good grip on icey ground. You will experience high adrenaline on early camps. It's so exciting. ATB uncle Pete's wild adventures.
