One day I must walk up that way, as I always come up from Grasmere but either way, it's stunning up there and what a day for it - perfect! Canny going, carrying that pack and just in time for the sunset but man, them shots you got were breathtaking, so worth the climb and the cold night. Sunrise was none to shabby either, stuck gold with this one mind. Quality watch, cheers Alan
Thanks Alan ayy got the lot on this one, very rare to get that anywhere.stunning area the langdale pikes & really enjoyed ticking them all off, won't be my last time up there i'm sure.tfw.Andy.
Nice one Andy. It’s no easy hike up to those peaks. I’ve done them all but with a daypack that was hard enough. Looked a nice cosy spot you pitched. Great nightlapse and stunning views. Another good watch. Atb
Thanks Andy ayy it was a slog up that stickle ghyll & then easy gully too but once up on the tops a pleasure to be up there it's a stunning part of the lakes.some nice little spots round there but you have to look for them not easy to spot but they're there.had a cracking clear night & always great to get some astro done.tfw mate.Andy.
Cracking camp that and a bit of a stint ticking those off. Decent weather still looked a little windy though but just enough to keep the condensation away, stunning skies too and loved those night shots. Oh and the traffic will be due to the school holidays I'm guessing. Anyways thanks for sharing pal and catch up with you soon ATB Steve
Thanks Steve stunning area up there mate well recommend it,reyt old slog up but once your'e up there it's amazing.was a bit windy but nowt major & the night sky was something, the milkyway was some of the best iv'e seen it,helped with the moon not being up as well which makes a massive difference to the night sky.catch thi soon pal..tfw.Andy.

Thanks David can certainly recommend it round there it's a stunning area, ive to do the crinkle craggs area so that'll be getting done some time tfw.Andy.
Exceptional film. One of your best yet really enjoyed it. Made me look when I saw you in a High gear jacket though 😂 then I saw you still had your big Alpkit ☝️ atb Dave
Thanks Dave ayy i use the thinner hi-gear one sometimes it's just right to use as a layer under neath my bigger down jackets when the temps are really low.tfw.Andy.
Fantastic vid as always, i camped in that exact location last year when i did the same walk but did Jacobs Ladder, you should have gone up there too if you had got there earlier. Look forward to the next vid

Hi Andy, another fantastic video 🙏, just two quick questions though, where did you get your cooking stand from, i can't find one anywhere and lastly what's your radio it sounds like a good one, hope you had a fab new year 🙏
Hi Dougie..i assume by cooking stand you mean the little table, its an alpkit splitta table www.alpkit.com/products/splitta The radio is a goodmans pocket DAB www.goodmans.co.uk/goodmans-pocket-dab-radio-speaker.html tfw & all the best for the new year..Andy.
Hi Andrew. Great video. Love the time lapses. I was in the Lakes a couple of days before you with my camera. The weather was nothing like you had. Overcast days. No good sunrises or sunsets! That shot of you in the morning looking over the hills reminded my of a classic oil painting by Casper David Friedrich "Wanderer above the Sea of Fog". Let my know what you think of the similarity? Looking forward to the next one. Take care. Robert
Hi Robert firstly i looked up the painting & yes i can see where your'e coming from it's a great looking piece.the weather was spot on & conditions more or less perfect.it's a pleasure to be out when it;s as such.tfw.Andy.
Hi Stephen & thanks..iv'e not camped on bow fell but i have walked over it twice, once on a day walk & i camped down at angle tarn a few winters back & went that way.tfw mate..Andy.
Hi Andy, really enjoyed your wild camping videos, I’m looking to do my first one in Peak District soon, how do you get those star lapses? I’ve got a gopro hero 7 black. Thanks
Hi mate & thanks for watching the vids 👍 can't recommend it enough in the peak district it's a beautiful place with some stunning places to wildcamp,I'm sure you'll enjoy it.i do the star lapses on my Canon camera but you can do them in the GoPro in night photo mode.once you work out the settings required it will take a series of photos until you stop it or camera runs out of battery, then in you're editor you have to stitch the photos together & reduce the time of each photo down to around 0.06 of a second & then the whole series of photos will play as a video.sounds complicated but once you figure it all out its fairly straight forward.tfw.Andy.
Surpassed yourself there! Its on my lengthening list of places to get! Less of the looking cold shots mind!, makes the missus shoot me a bad look! But I might get the go ahead for a camera, your shots are superb. Do you frame them and hang them? Anyways ATB and keep on keeping on.
Thanks Ian can certainly recommend getting up there it's stunning once up there.i have printed a few of my better landscape shots off but my wife won't let me hang them anywhere lol..think i may claim the spare bedroom & display my best in there lol.tfw.Andy.
Nice one Andy, brill time lapses of stars and morning clouds. Not noticed you using 2 sticks before (probs my lack of observation) does it save the knees at all? ATB regards Phil
Thanks Phil ayy iv'e had a bit of a revelation with the poles, got them to do the limestone way back in summer & by was i glad.used them ever since & after years of dismissing them they really do take the weight off the knee's & are a great tool to use.tfw.Andy.
Not done my first mounting camp yet nearly got all gear together then off, any advise? I do know basic map and compass stuff, biginner place maybe cheers
