yes i remember going the lakes on my motorbike years ago and hearing them planes cutting through the mountains and now im into wild camping i wouldn,t mind going back soon for a camp. and them hand warmers are great i have just got one so i have 2 powerbanks now when i go out oh i have subscribed aswell so speak to you soon
Mate this was awesome. The shots of the mountains at sunset and as you were hiking out were just stunning. You’re absolutely right about what you said, that is why we do it! Keep up the great work.
Great video GW, I wondered why you didn’t peg the guys out and wrap the lines around the poles as per Hillebergs recommendations, but it was explained that you were having peg problems 😉! I bought exactly the same tent last year, Allak 2, same dark green colour but unfortunately I haven’t had the chance to use it yet and it’s killing me 😭😂😂!….been out of the country for a while see, hopefully this year it’ll get used, best wishes from a “ semi-Geordie” …I worked at Gateshead for 23 years and have acquired a bit of the twang y’ knaa 😬
the simple editing with the names and altitude was great especially with the slight the music in the background. So little but makes such a difference in the video. really enjoyed this pal.
Great video, easy to see the effort you've put in. A superb trip by the look of it 👌 Thanks for taking the time to film, edit and of course for sharing. ATB Alistair 👍
New subscriber here! Great video, thank you. You lit your stove and my first thought was that your gas was doing well to stay alight. Looking forward to more videos
Excellent again. Clear, crisp shots like the fantastic scenery. Thanks a lot Steve. I didn't see your spikes in the gear list, can you let me know what they are please. Thanks again for all your efforts. 😊
Hey mate thanks for the feedback very kind...they are katoola maybe? somthing along those lines from amazon....btw they broke as i fell on the way down!
Cracking video. Love the shots on your walk up. Glad you enjoyed the Allak. Whilst it’s a bit on the heavy side it gives so much room to work in on those long nights. Happy Christmas bud. Look forward to more of your adventures in 2023. 👍🌨️⛰
Fabulous film that, really enjoyed all of it. The views in the morning were stunning....I said "wow" out loud and a couple of seconds later you said wow! Yourself, haha. I couldn't help but think "why not put the gas canister on top of the hand warmer for a few minutes before firing it up though?" Nice one for sharing this video and I look forward to your future content. 👍
Hey thanks for the kind words, yeah in hindsight I’ll take a few pointers away from the trip..the handwarmer trick should work well. Thanks for watching
This was a REALLY high quality video. Well done on a great job of conveying the hardship and conditions behind a cold camp like this. Those views were absolutely magical! Very envious!! Really top notch production though 👏 Happy Christmas and enjoy the holiday 👍 James.
Hiya. That was tremendous! The drone footage and the photos were fantastic. Might try the lakes to camp one day. Thanks for making and sharing. Merry Christmas and atb for 2023
Great video, beautiful conditions. Just wondering which Microspikes you use and your thoughts on them for mild ice such as you encountered on this vid.
Gt video champ 😁. We use similar "micro spikes" good advice based on practical experience is that we use heavy duty electrical cable ties to secure em to our boots. We've learnt without cable ties that micro spikes can fall of without either of us knowing. 🙏💥👍👍❤️
Spot on that mate, good hike up to great end, conditions looked great, the views from over the tops was brilliant, tent looks class mate, good strong and roomy, great for long winter nights if weather turns, atb Mick 👍
Enjoyed the video great filming and the drone footage certainly adds another dimension. Pack a mini telescopic fishing rod next time you're out that way as there's brown trout in styhead tarn 👍
ive had all the gear tbh and hated using it. I want to ty and capture how i experience the wildacmp and hopefully comes across quite cinematic to you all.
I really appreciate the effort you put into making this video Geordie. You say your thighs were aching at one point, I was getting tired just watching you and I’m sitting at home in the warm. They were some pretty extreme conditions, you can see why Antarctic explorers often trained in these areas. Your video work is fantastic and I’m wondering what drone it is you’re using. One little point that I often have trouble with is when you’re close to the camera look at the lens and not the screen makes for a more personable video. I’ve only just come across your channel and I have subscribed and look forward to looking at your other adventures.
Some great feedback as im always looking to improve and that point is something im very conccious of. The drone is the DJI Mini 3 pro, brilliant piece of kit. Thanks for tuning in..
Cracking video lot better than some of the larger channels I was in stitches with your comment about the hand warmer (I'm going to stick this in my bum cheeks Dose it vibrate 🤣🤣🤣) stunning scenery in harsh conditions atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍
Would be a mint video if you weren’t a geordie 😂 nah joke mate good to see a north east lad out and about, I’m a mackem but respect lad good video, did u remortgage for that hilly? 😂
Amazing video pal loved it your getting me in the mood to get out and start hitting the mountains up here again I miss them, I’ve messaged you on Instagram pal, keep up the great work. Atb WULLIE 🏴✊🏻

Many thanks for the Sub...I do love the handwarmers they are a great way to keep warm but also a back up powerbank. ATB Steven

thanks very much fella
Finally a video of someone making an allak 2 into a dry bag 😂 so hard to find size comparisons for packed down tents. Great video mate!
Glad it was helpful!
Fantastic camp a real sense of winter adventure. Stunning scenery and brilliantly shot. 👍
Thank you appreciate it
Stunning...........................thanks for sharing mate!
Glad you enjoyed it
We camped at Sprinkling Tarn back in June doing the same route up from the farm - favourite wild camp spot to date!
Its a cracking spot and a decent hike...
Great video GW, I wondered why you didn’t peg the guys out and wrap the lines around the poles as per Hillebergs recommendations, but it was explained that you were having peg problems 😉!

nothing wrong with the twang...such a shame you havent had the chance to use this amazing tent. get it pitched in the back garden hahahah
I used to heat up water to melt the ground before putting standard pegs in. They do sell the winter pegs too
Great idea! i think i was a tad tired after the trek!
Great views and camp buddy
Glad you enjoyed it
the simple editing with the names and altitude was great especially with the slight the music in the background. So little but makes such a difference in the video. really enjoyed this pal.
Many thanks I’m trying to learn and improve each episode and showcase what it feels like for me to the viewer..cheers for watching
Winter below zero on the mountains is a wonder to see! Thankyou so much Geordie for sharing your cold but wonderful experience!
my pleasure to share it with you all...im truly blessed
If this is the level of production for all your videos then you need at least another 50k subscribers dude bravo
Hahaha I wish!! It’s a passion so expect more on the horizon my friend..thanks for watching

Great camp and yes you certainly can't beat crisp winter conditions like the ones you had.

Great camp Geordie....... You've had a good year. Best wishes to you & yours and looking forward to many more camps in 2023.

Looked a cracking camp mate 👍 tad cold 🥶 hahah adds to the fun
Glad you enjoyed it
You got the camera out quick for those planes. Well done. Best wishes for your adventures in the new year.
Only just it took two attempts 🤣
Great video, proper wintry. You need titanium nails for frozen and rocky ground. They're indestructible.
yeah mate they are on the list to purchase..
Great filming.... just wondered why you didn't put out the guy lines....was it the issue with the pegs?
I broke 5 pegs and had no spares to batten them down...tent would have been much sturdier in the wind.
@The Geordie Wildcamper you survived the night, that's the main thing. Happy camping.
Epic video 👌
Top man appreciate you watching

Brilliant conditions. The Allak looks huge inside. I’ve never actually seen one in person. Merry Xmas
Yeah I must admit the weight has put me off in the past but and opportunity arose to change for a soulo and very happy I have..cheers for watching
Good vid, why did you not guy the tent out in such harsh conditions
Oh I broke about 8 pegs 🤣

ATB Mark, yeah you should def get across to the lakes its a stunning place.
