I use to have a big turbo Hyundai Elantra Sport back in 2018, and I can tell you that the spool was longer than the smaller turbo. Did I regret doing it? A little bit because I have to change my driving a little bit to compensate for the lost of fast spooling. I bread about the pure turbo upgrade from Daniel at DRTuning and now seeing this video from you guys. If I ever decide on doing a big turbo, of course I’m going to do the fuel pump upgrade you told about first. This will be the turbo I will go with. Also, I’m looking forward to seeing the new part they planning on putting on that car. Love seeing this car getting the upgrades it needs and the love. Also, he wasn’t lying about them downpipe studs, yo anyone who is getting the corksport downpipe if you break a stud like I did. The best way to get it out is an extractors, and you will need a skinny straight 90 angle drill to drill it. They are a pain in the teeth but that’s what I did when I did the downpipe. It’s best to do it when your low mileage if your 20k-50k good luck them studs will be tough.
You mentioned that Pure's big turbo won't have cracking issues because we can run less boost pressure but get the same power, but doesn't that sorta defeat the purpose of the big turbo? And on the other hand, if we do want more power with the Pure than OEM (which would thus require more boost pressure), don't we then run the risk of cracking like CS mentioned in their blog post? I'm assuming the answer to these questions is, we just want to find the sweet spot with the Pure where we get more power but no cracking. If that sweet spot gets found, then Pure's product will, as a matter of fact, have a useful purpose. Hope y'all can get there! Sorry for rambling haha. Keep up the good work!!
There will be less boost spikes with the pure Turbo, which is where the issue occurs. If I want to hit 24psi on the stock turbo there will be a huge boost spike to get there, whereas this won't happen on the pure turbo. You don't even have to run 24psi, 20 psi will yield more power & less spikes
I like what you guys are doing because it helps pave the way for those of us wanting more from our turbo CX-5's.
Appreciated sir
Give it sometime, eventually all the newer Gen Mazdas are going to have plenty and I mean plenty of aftermarket’s parts 👍🏻
I now look forward to Mondays purely to watch a new video drop ! Great info for the community keep em coming
I'll do my best not to miss a Monday 😅
How much power do you think we can make with the stock downpipe. How restrictive is it?
It's very restrictive on stock turbo. You'll get 285whp on 93 if you have all the other supporting modifications
@@supermazda3 Cries in Californian 😭
Thank you for the info!
Thanks for the insight on the big turbo coming soon.
It's here just waiting for my customers to install them
Trying to build my turbo mazda3 hatch the videos are a great help. Keep it up and thank you!
No problem, more coming tomorrow
Whoa that's a cold day -- but a nice turbo day!!
It's even colder now 😭
This is something i would like to do on mine in the near future. Cool video thanks for sharing.
Thanks for visiting my channel 🤘🏽
Is this for the turbo models or non-turbo Mazda 3's?
Pure500 is for the turbo model

I'm sending you an updated tune this weekend, just more refinement. Between MPG. I won't increase power unless you want a little more up top
@@supermazda3 Sweet I’m looking forward to it man. Keep up with videos and the good work on your tunes.👍🫡

We won't know until it's been on the car for a while
How did you install the cork sport breaks in the rear tho? Is there different mount or can you mount front callipers ones on the back as well?
That's a question for the owner, he's in the 2021+ Turbo 3 group on Facebook
Wait so is this an 2.5t or 2.5l and is he adding a supercharger or a big turbo? I’m confused was the car the 4th gen turbo already?
2.5t
What strut bar is in the engine bay? Doesn't look like corksport🤔
