When a sports person becomes a legend whilst they are still in the midst of their career you know that they are special. Marvelous Marvin Hagler earned the middleweight title every time he stepped in the ring. There were no easy fights, he took on the hardest challenges and the best opponents in an era stacked with top talent and boxers with their own claims to greatness. I thought Leonard wanted the fifteen rounds and a larger ring for the fight. Plus, he probably had one judge on the scorecard paid off and it did having his score of 118 to 110 for Leonard. There was no way that judge was even fair.
technically , point wise Leonard won the the boxing match, but leonard didnt win the fight. And a Great Champion should never lose his belts to a man who didnt come to fight. Not at one point during the fight did you think that leonard was trying to make a statement that he was a better boxer or fighter. Leonard looked like he was trying to just go for a points victory and stay out of harms way. And that was surprising coming from a great fighter like Leonard who, in almost of his fights in his prime , clearly established that he was the dominant fighter by the end of the fight. I wish Sugar Ray's eye would've never suffered that damage, and I understand he fought that way to avoid more damage to the eye, but judges shouldnt have taken Marvin's title like that.
Hello everyone, I have only just now viewed this video. Great respect must go to these two gentlemen for their respect and how they've spoken about and respected the late, great, Marvelous Marvin Hagler. I absolutely, totally respect and agree with Marvin, how he just vacated the scene after he fought, and in my mind beat, with great respect, Sugar Ray Leonard. Marvin wasn't just fighting Ray Leonard. He was fighting the whole scene. They'd already decided before the fight, who they wanted to win through the romance of Ray Leonard returning after a long lay off, and how exciting they thought it would be for a legendary, long-standing, iconic champion to be beaten. It's just shocking to see that all happen. It jolly well serves them all right, that such dedicated beast of a champion gave them all two fingers, never to be seen in the ring again. That's what they deserved for the respect they gave this iconic champion. I was ten years old when Marvin Hagler beat our own Alan Minter in what turned out to be a blood bath. I felt sorry for our Alan Minter because Marvin was on another level completely. Marvin was far superior to our guy, and he proved it for reigning as long as he did and fighting, without dodging anyone, the fighters he fought. It was a shameful end to such an eye watering, glittering, fantastic career, just by people who didn't want him to win. Marvellous Marvin Hagler couldn't be faulted in any part of his career. It all sparkled. Like these two gentlemen said, Marvin was the Mike Tyson of the middleweight division. What more of a tribute can you say when your division includes Sugar Ray Leonard, Thomas Hearns, Roberto Duran, Roberto Duran, John Mugabi, etc. There's nothing more to be said. It doesn't get any better than Marvellous Marvin Hagler. An absolutely true, dedicated, honest champion who was conned. So he paid them the ultimate disrespect and jolly good luck to him too. That's what they deserved and got.
He possibly or probably died from complications of the vaccine. Not sure if the vaccine was for the coronavirus. If so people everywhere need to know the vaccine is NOT safe or proven. Many have died or will die because of cytokine storm.
@@JoeMenjivar Joe his wife doesn't know if it was the vaccine. She may have been told to say that upon threat. Think about it. Tommy Hearns probably spoke the truth and he said Marvin was suffering from the side affects of a vaccine. The question is what kind of vaccine? The Covid vaccine can cause inflammation which cause all kinds of complications including high blood pressure and a heart attack.

Marvelous Marvin Hagler was one of the biggest sports figures back in the 80s. More popular than Larry Holmes
I don't know about that. Holmes was an undefeated Heavyweight, a weight class that always (until the early 2000s) was the highest viewed/watched weight class in boxing.

Marvin Hagler was simply marvelous
When a sports person becomes a legend whilst they are still in the midst of their career you know that they are special. Marvelous Marvin Hagler earned the middleweight title every time he stepped in the ring. There were no easy fights, he took on the hardest challenges and the best opponents in an era stacked with top talent and boxers with their own claims to greatness. The first boxing match I can remember is Minter vs Hagler, I was only ten and from the UK, but you could see Hagler was a different class altogether. A very sad loss of a truly great man and undisputed champion.
If you don't know Boxing this won't hit as hard. The guy was a Warrior. A lot of movie characters probably have taken some base from his character. The guy used to run in brick boots in winter cold. Ex - SAS guys tell me stories of him. The guy was the real deal. Makes me wish I was older to have seen his fights live. 🥊 goodbye Champ.
Marvellous Marvin Hagler was just cut from a different cloth!! He was Champion for a long time and he fought everyone!! There was only the wbc and wba titles when Hagler dominated.. ✊🏽✊🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I thought Leonard wanted the fifteen rounds and a larger ring for the fight. Plus, he probably had one judge on the scorecard paid off and it did having his score of 118 to 110 for Leonard. There was no way that judge was even fair.
One of my heroes as a kid back then I’m still pissed that they robbed him in that Lenard fight
Hagler wanted a rematch with Leonard in 88, but Leonard didn't want a rematch cause he knew would lose
Same here. Boxing was my favorite sport up until that night.
technically , point wise Leonard won the the boxing match, but leonard didnt win the fight.
Dude was so lit he changed his name into Marvelous. 🔥
He was disrespected when people refused to call him Marvelous. So he legally changed it

He possibly or probably died from complications of the vaccine. Not sure if the vaccine was for the coronavirus. If so people everywhere need to know the vaccine is NOT safe or proven. Many have died or will die because of cytokine storm.
@@LAStreetPreacher His wife said it wasn't the vaccine. To use his death as anti-vaccine nonsense is a disrespect to him and his family.
