It deeply saddens me that Marvelous Marvin Hagler left us so soon and so suddenly. He might have been the greatest middleweight of all time, and certainly was one of a handful of the greatest at any weight. He was the ultimate model for the dedication and hard work that built his natural gifts into world class skills, and kept him there long after he could have chosen a life of ease and pleasure. I can remember how Big Tommy Hearns, nonchalantly walked out from his corner and how Marvelous Marvin raced out of his corner and then they collided. In case anyone is interested, there is a book entitled "Four Kings" by the late George Kimball. It was written in 2008 and covers the respective careers of Hagler, Hearns, Leonard, and Duran. It's a great read!
Excellent Book!
Thanks 4 mentioned book?😊
Thank you.
The best ever to young much to young never will his name be forgotten gutted god bless you marvelous
When the best fought the best.......and marvin was the best....and a persona ta'boot!!
Thank you for sharing this! Rest in Power Legend!
Such a lovely man. I don’t think any boxer has more universal respect than Marvelous Marvin Hagler, alongside perhaps Sugar Ray Robinson. Such sad news.
Not only a great Boxer, but a wonderful character. Nice to see someone in his profession who is articulate and has a sense of humour. Truly one of the greats. RIP Marvelous
My favorite boxer ever. Was always rooting for Marvelous and he never disappointed. RIP Champion.
Watching this interview, it makes me feel as though the term 'stand-up guy' was invited with Hagler in mind.
When i think of all the great middleweights throughout time i cant imagine any of them beating Marvelous Marvin. Heart, chin, skill and power, he had it all.
GGG, Ray Robinson, Greb, or Carlos Monzon.. I can’t think of any others that might 50/50 him.
No greater combination of boxer...and fighter. RIP Champ.
From all your fans in England
RIP Marvelous Marvin Hagler
Respect from the UK
Hagler is one of my all time favorites as a fighter. Marvelous never had to talk smack or entertain because he has his own mystique.
You make me love boxing. Thank you Marvellous Marvin Hagler.
Beautiful interview...
What a Legend RIP Champ Best Fighter out of the fab 4 hands down!!!
Hard to believe Hagler passing away at age 66. He looked invincible in his prime, and looked to be in far better shape after he retired than I have ever been all my life (I'm in my late 30s). The announcement of his death was just so unexpected.
By now, you should know what happened to him.
Seemed a cool guy...out of the ring.... Good to see him chilling. Thanks.
