I think a lot of people are missing the added benefit that you can use wireless charging when in the case. I tried multiple wireless charging pads with a naked magic mouse and could never get it to charge. But put on any of these 3rd party holders, and it charges wirelessly no problem. Which is huge! You can just move the mouse over to charge when you're not using it vs flipping it over and plugging it in. And it's more comfortable to use.
I didn't know you could wireless charge the magic mouse at all... Don't you need a base that actually connects properly and has that built in? I don't think MouseBase offers this.
You’re right. I mention this around the 2 minute mark, and they also state that on their website. If you have the Magic Mouse 1 and bought this, I’m sure you can return it. Guess they’ve had many people do that. Hope it works out for you :)
I do like the features of the magic mouse since it is part of the apple ecosystem, but the ergonomics of it are terrible. I have tried it with my MacBook Pro on my couch and it provides a certain tension in my fingers and wrist. Keep in mind that is with basic use not using it for any professional or artistic purposes.
Apples mouses (magic or not) have always been crap, and they still are. Too fancy, too expensive and too useless. I dare them to do a mouse with the life of a logitech or microsoft for instance.
But fancy is what they are aiming for so why on earth then change it. They just don't want to do it, and if they want they would rather buy that technology
Apple sure has a history with bad mice. Remember the puck? What I like about the Magic Mouse is how well it goes with the Magic Keyboard. It is super flush. The gestures are great, although a bit sensitive, but the ergonomics just kills me.
Idk… when you give the magic mouse a chance (3 months). You realize it’s superior. The scrolling alone can’t be compared. The surface area of the wheel is not sufficient to provide a ~30 line focused smooth scroll (5 lines at best.) Magic mouse has the entire mouse if needed. i don’t really see a real need to scroll 20k lines of a code(or text) in 2 seconds. 9K is more than enough. The gesture workaround feels like what it is, A workaround. Desktop switching is a nightmare. I’d rather go back to using alt+tab. Horizontal scrolling should be called horizontal peeking. Because that’s what it is, maybe 10 characters of smooth scrolling per rotation.
Great video. I've seen also a 3D print file for it. If you think it's too slippery, you could try mouse grips or universal mouse griptapes. They're super cheap, but at this point it's just too much effort for a very weak mouse and I'd just stick to the Master 3 as well. A little tip about the video itself: background music is a bit loud in the video.
Thank you. Yeah, there is too much trouble getting this awful thing to mimic an already great mouse, the MX3. Thank you for the audio feedback as well👍🏼
i like your vibe man :) keep making vids
Thank you :) I have a bunch lined up :)

Hey!!!!!! It doesn't work with the Magic Mouse 1!

LOL "so, I'm gonna try it twice" nice video :)
Try everything twice :D
I'd like to buy one but I can't found this case for Left handed people :(
That’s great feedback. You should send it to them so they can make some mirrored versions :)

do you have any 3d printing model of that case ?
Hi. Thanks for stopping by. I don’t have any 3d printing model of this one. Sorry.

Of course your gonna stick to the MX, your a human being.
The MX master 3 is unbeatable so far :) but I love the gestures on the magic mouse :)
Not if you are a leftie :)
This is a absolute garbage product, it doesnt even work and i cant move the cursor while the mouse is on the mousebase using bluetooth
Which Apple Magic Mouse do you have? Gen 1 doesn’t work. The one with swappable AAA batteries. Is that the case here?
