Several Years ago, I was in a Maiden Concert with some 3-4 of my Friends one of them is a huge Maiden Fan, and together with some from the Iron Maiden Fanclub, they had some masquerade masks. (I think they were 15 of them or something like that), and when they started playing "Dance of the Dead" they all put on the Masks, Steve Harris noticed it and pointed at them and had a huge smile. Evenhough it might only have lasted some seconds it felt like an eternity and really made it special at least of us.
There's Never Been a Band That Brings Their Fans to The Forefront, The Way Iron Maiden Does..., Truly One of The Greatest Bands to Ever Walk This Earth, Regardless of Genre..., The Fact That These Guys Are Still Going, They're in Their Late 60s/Early 70s, They Will Headline Hard Rock and Heavy Metal Festivals This Coming Summer, Is Remarkable..., Your Reactions Are Super Awesome, Very Entertaining, Very Genuine!!!!!
I've seen Iron Maiden 7 times now. All here in Sweden. The atmosphere, the family feeling when you're in line to get inside the arena is so amazing. You can talk to basically anyone who's there and everyone's so friendly. They never disappoint, they always live up to the expecations, or even above it. You know what to get, plus a little more. If you have the opportunity to see them before they quit. It's sad, but they're getting old. And their drummer had a smaller stroke (a Tia) at the beginning of last year, which he got a quick rehab for so he could be on their tour later the same year. Bruce, their singer have had 2 tumors removed after they finished their album "Book of Souls". He recorded the whole album with one in his throat and the second one at the back of his tounge. He didn't wanted to do the surgery until after the recording was done because he was afraid it would hurt his voice too much. It hurt when I heard about these sad news, but I'm so glad they both recovered so well. Iron Maiden are the reason I wanted to learn how to play guitar and they inspire me even today, 23 years later. And after seeing them so many times it feels like I know them. It's like they've become my friends. That's how welcoming they and their fans are. Up the Irons! ❤
I’ve always thought of Iron Maiden as a heavy metal medieval folk band. They tell the stories of history and arts through music. Like the folksongs of the past that were used to pass on history when people couldn’t read or write as much. They are always brilliant! And their live shows are like no others. You don’t simply go to an Iron Maiden concert. You experience it!
Interesting to see you talking about Bruce’s energy. I think it would be amazing to see you react to ‘The Talisman’ from the same live concert. A rare showcase of Bruce having to completely ground himself and focus on his singing. Which is incredible by the way :)
Bruce always reminds me of a travelling Shakespeare actor put to music ! His stage presence is among the best in Rock ! As you mentioned his storytelling is mind blowing ! Iron Maiden is so much more than a heavy rock band ,they are brilliant musicians and write fantastic song !
Up the irons! Thank you for setting the vibe for me. Saw them last year in Dortmund and now i'll be heading to a Maiden United concert in about half an hour 🎸🤘🏻.
UP THE IRONS!!!🤘😉 🇩🇪
We know the lyrics because we're Iron Maiden fans. It's a huge part of the attraction because nobody tells a story quite like they do., and an essential requisite of being a fan of this incredible band.
Been a Maiden fan since 82, was at a show in the late 80's when Bruce's mic cut out a few times for about 30-40 seconds but it wasn't very noticeable because the fans kept singing the song anyway. To truly appreciate Maiden, you must see them live. The stage sets, the pyro, the musicianship, the audience participation, the band feeding off of the crowd reaction. Feel like they are playing better now than ever before. Gonna be a sad day for me when Maiden decides to call it a career!
Yeah and they never took any breaks in their career. People will mention other bands that have "been around" for just as long or longer but usually they will have like 10 year plus breaks where the members went their separate ways and then they reformed on a "comeback tour". Maiden never did that, yeah there were a few splits and line up changes here and there but nothing like what other bands have done and they always continued to make music, tour and like you said stay relevant for 4+ decades. They are a true institution in the music industry and probably the best to ever do it in my opinion. Up the Irons and stay heavy 🤘❤
Iron Maiden - Paschendale, from Death On The Road....Based on the WW1 Battle. For me, its a fantastic performance, with great crowd participation and an outstanding performance from Bruce.
yeah me too as kid i used all my allowance to buy their albums then my aunt bought me iron maiden hoodie it is really worn out but i still wear it even if people laugh at me
I remember hearing this song live when I saw Iron Maiden in 2011 on their final frontier tour it really sounded incredible live as all of their songs need to be appreciated in a live environment to truly understand how great they are.
I definitely think it's just one of those stories that is what it is. No metaphor behind it. It's a fun song, the music is INSANE, and it's easily one of the best songs they've released.
Fyi on Bruce's cardio. I read an interview with him (Years ago). He said in order to prep for a tour, he'd put the setlist and rollerblade in circles on his property and sing the setlist.
Hellerrrrr 👋, once again another great song from the best band in the world!, great reaction!!, your smile makes my mornings a lil brighter 😊, Adrian Smith was the first solo then Dave Murray the third was Janick.
Really enjoyed this and your reaction, it’s a great track for those who ❤ guitar solos - 3 in one song to feast on! I never really listened to IM much when I was younger but have been listening to them more in the past few years. Bruce is a great storyteller, I don’t think he has an equal! I had a great time last night TW were Dope!
Bruce is among the best singers! Another great singer (perhaps the BEST) is Ronnie James Dio. I recommend that you listen to the song: Stargazer by Rainbow. Features former Deep Purple guitarist Ritchie Blackmore! Up the IRONS🤟
try the clansman rock in rio 2001 live. yes bruce squats down and does a cossack dance. i could not have gotten both feet off the ground when i was 20. all the fencing maybe.
If you like storytelling I can recommend Sabaton. Swedish metal band that solely makes songs about historical military events, people, specific branches in a certain nation's military etc. They also have a second channel here on RUclips where they have a video corresponding to each song that goes more in-depth into what the song is about and the background of it. No doubt Iron Maiden is one of the best live heavy metal band in the world. All members are very very talented & energetic. Btw 1st solo played by Adrian Smith, 2nd Dave Murray & 3rd Janick Gers. 🔥 Up The Irons From India. 🤘🏻

You should check out the live version of The Greater Good of God, from 2019 rock in Rio, you can see how Bruce’s voice has matured but is still as strong as ever
Up the Irons. Still going strong, saw them last year. Bruce has slowed down a bit but still has it, he is touring with his new album at present. Three guitarists, Adrian, Dave and finally Janick. I would recommend When The Wild Wind Blows
Additionally, ALL maiden fans give a shit about the lyrics. Your average passerby may not, but Maiden fans? I hate to argue with a fellow Aussie, but WE all do. Hello from Italy, beautiful! I would like to suggest a song a little different from those you have already heard by Maiden. It's "Aces High", a real roller coaster ride!!! I recommend the studio version first and then the live one. Greetings and kisses from Italy!
You should check out some live shows from before Bruce left the band (he came back) Donnington 1992 is a good show. That era is probably the height of Maiden in my eyes

Iron Maiden......educating you and kicking your ass for 48 years.
It's incredible that Bruce is in his sixties, has been through throat cancer, and had both hips replaced.
He still just keeps going !!
Have you heard his solo stuff in the current tour? He sounds phenomenal!
@@danw4490 Love the new album. He's just unstoppable !
Aren't they in their 70s now?
@maksphoto78 Sixties, mostly. Nicko is in his seventies, and puts drummers half his age to shame.
@@progbloke6655 Yes, tthe single-foot double patterrn, unmatchable
3 guitars... Adrián Smith... Dave murray.. AND THE GREAT JANICK GERT... .... 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
you are absolutely correct, 3 different solo's in one section, Adrian Smith first, Dave Murray next, and Janick Gers third.
And Janick was the guy dancing (as always 😂) Adrian's solo was perfect.
More Iron Maiden please!!!

It's not just that Bruce moves around like a maniac. It's the fact that he sounds awesome doing it!

You keep doing the lyrics. With bands like Maiden and Nightwish it's essential.

Such an awesome band, no one else like them.
