Make an inexpensive wooden dummy for outdoor training

  • This is not an exact model of the the wooden dummy aka Wing Chun dummy, but it allows for enough training opportunity for the outdoors. It’s very cheap to make and replace, especially if the cost of a real dummy is too much at this time. Don’t let the cost keep you from your desired training. Click and see what you think🙂👊. #woodendummy #wingchundummy

Thank you, nothing wrong with your version. Not all of us can afford a 500 dollar dummy. You did a good job

This is probably truer to the original than an expensive fancy one. I am going to build one like it. Thanks for this ✌️

I think this is a brilliant idea. The dummy is about practicing movements against an "opponent". Perfect dimensions are not important, I think - those could vary greatly between opponents!
Far better to practice on something simple than not practice because you feel only a "perfect" dummy will suffice.
Thank you SO much for sharing!!

Hell yeah bro. I love the mentality. Im just like you. It doesn't have to look pretty or be expensive, just as long as it gets the job done.

Excellent video. I am going to make similar board and looking for ideas. It is simple but good dummy. Thanks for information and especially for dimensions. Now I will have to think how to make a leg of a dummy.

I won't call this a wooden dummy, but the best wooden training device I've seen. It makes more sense to separate the arms like you did. Those wing chun dummies look like they were designed by a dummy. The moves they do on those I think are also dumb. I like your training moves, more realistic. I will build one like yours, but use a thicker board and bigger "arms". Thanks, great idea.

Good vid, thanks for the ideas, I eventually want to ger the new Bob which has the arms but yea maybe someday so your dummy is great, I want a more rounded wood board rather than the square, but it does keep you on the centerline,so that's good training and it works for you that is all that matters! Great vid Ii will subscribe 👍

Hi Daniel! I was curious about those sweet looking armoured gloves. I've gotten into knuckle training this past year, but sometimes my knuckles just need a break. This was a great video and highly educational!

Thanks so much! These are tactical gloves. I call em hit the fan gloves. I use them for all everything. Once I took a severe injury to the hand knife throwing. Sometimes I use bare knuckle but use these when I want to go faster and harder. I’ll look for a link for these

I did Zen do kai ( freestyle karate) from the highest ranking sensei in Australia in 99. Mellow guy but best mixed teqniques that worked as proved on my 130 kg brother! I'm 87 kg btw. I did wing chun secretly to mix with karate in close combat only for defence. I'm too old and injured to fight but defend my family if need be! Subbed and liked 👍 😊
    Cheers from Australia
