Hello doctor , I need your support to know more about umblical hernia and tyroid in babies . My 15 month old baby who born at 36 th week as i was obsese(149 kg) with bp , and ketones released , she was underweight like 2.2 kg but no major issues . Birth screening thyroid was 11 and bilirubin was 66 , but doctor said its fine in newborn specially in premie baby..
later noticed slight delay in her milestones like fixing neck around in 4 months , rolled over at 6 months , 9 months she sat , after 1 year teeth came ...one paediatrician said its okay but another said to test thyroid ..... past three weeks her belly button popping out , actually i thought its ok in kids didn do any experiments..... but last week she got fever .... paediatrician gave panadol , brufen and antibiotics, but temp didn reduce they placed suppository twice but now her bump area skin peeled off and become a open wound . 😢 now applying elica and mebo as per doctor s prescription.... still her fever 38.5 didn't go doctor gave some combination injection of diclofenac and fever medicine and asked to do some blood test and ultrasound for abdomen ... crp is normal , but thyroid 5.15 and in scan umbilical hernia 1.7 cm showing ..... now she is ok but belly button pops out .....help me wat to do i need to visit India immediately.... im in oman... another issue is 11 yr old son having frequent headache , some insect bite scar appearing around his chest , back , above knees , doctor gave antibiotics and fucidin h to apply and in blood report wbc 11100, neutrophil 55, platelet 4.25, crp 5.4, mch 24.5, mchc 31.9, , esr 19 and peripheral blood smear shows rbc normocytic normochromic, no nucleated rbc or platelet.wbc count increased predominantly neutrophils. Neutrophils showing shift to left and toxic granules . Platelet count adequate seen singly/clusters . Impression: peripheral smears shows Neutrophilia.... im worried. Doctor said need to consult haematologist but oman not available and said take antibiotics, he prectibed amoxyclin
