  • My first long(ish) journey in a new Honda Jazz Crosstar where I give my thoughts. This is not a review this is a Drivers ongoing journal for those who might be interested.
I will also add videos in a kind of "How To" of using the many features as I learn and use them myself.

Had my crosstar 6 months now, came from a 2020 civic. I prefer the looks of the civic, but i am a big unit, so a car low down was a pain. The Crosstar is probably the easiest and best car i have driven, not the best in looks, but the trade off is great fuel economy and easy to drive. With the current price in fuel i am glad i got it when i did .
I am getting depending on time of day going to work 70 to 80 MPG, home at peak time and driving a little faster around 60 to 65MPG. This is winter driving and i noticed the MPG took a big hit in the winter, when i got my car 1st of September MPG was always in the mid 70s to mid 80s and nose dived the colder it got. I noticed with heating on and aircon on, the engine would stay on most of the time, depleting MPG. So i kept it off, relying on the heated seats. I use B mode coming up to roundabouts and cars and coast in D mode. As i noticed permanently in B mode you will use the accelerator more . I use it like an engine brake from HGVs i drive. Its about thinking ahead .
What i like is a compact car on the outside but not so compact for room on the inside. Only let down is boot space. I have a friend who is 6.5 and could not believe the room he had in the back and said this puts bigger cars to shame. As a driver i find the car incredibly comfy and the infotainment is a big step up from Hondas previous attempt I love using my android auto and spotify . What i don't understand is why the crosstar does not get the heated steering wheel like the EX trim , but hey we get a sub woofer and water repellent seats.
All in all very happy and this hopefully is my stepping stone in to full electric Unfortunately that's not going to be a Honda, at this rate. As they are lagging far behind in the Electric car market and have nothing really to offer . I been looking at a BYD Dolphin that's very similar to the Jazz, gets great reviews and a leading company in battery technology.

Hey mate, great smart car and i’m waiting for mine to be delivered. I wonder one thing, if the car automatically locks doors after moving and exceeding some speed?
